Happy Home Repairs

I called and left multiple voicemails asking for a callback to schedule an estimate, I have a water leak with some minor water damage, and I never even got a call back. Very disappointing.

Pleasant, friendly and honest. He also pointed out other areas that I should show the contractor I will end up hiring and told me questions I should ask. I certainly appreciate any education about my home. I will be calling him in the future for other jobs around our house.

We were very pleased with their work. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional. They do great quality work at a fair price. We have not had the best luck finding reliable, honest and knowledgeable professionals since we moved here so we were very happy to find Happy Home Repairs as they met or exceeded our expectations. Doug is very busy (because he can be trusted to do the job right) so be prepared to wait but his work is worth the wait!

We were in the process of selling our house and were required by buyer's to do repair to soffit and build a handrail around porch. Doug was quick in response to come out to give quote. They arrived on time and did all the work in the He said they would. I would use them again if we are ever back in the Chattanooga area.

It went great. Doug's work is very well done and detail oriented. I can't believe how good everything looks. He cleaned up some of my painting mistakes that I made and caught things that I missed from things that had been done in the past.Batt

The work was done in response to a urgent need and by luck, was able to be done on the same day. Doug called late in day and after explanation of the situation, was in a position to come over and do the repairs at the end of the day. Work was done well and in a very professional manner. This group can be only described a truly outstanding and I would recommend them for all types of plumbing work, big and small. The group took total interest in doing this job even though small in nature by as the homeowner, it was a life saver in many ways. I will return to them for any other plumbing needs or services they would provide. Cost: Extremely Fair along with Quality Work. He was outstanding in workmanship and price. I thought I was going to have to replace most of my exterior windows but he did only the necessary work and the window frames look like new again. He paid attention to detail in his painting of the window frames. He gave me options to replace the rotten portion of the window frames with better materials at a lower cost than the original. He completed the work on time and gave me a new customer discount as he stated in his initial visit. I was very happy with this contractor.

Very professional and on time. Built a beautiful porch. Took the time for added touches. Cleaned up everything. Also tore away back steps to laundry room and built new ones with a railing. Installed two windows and framed out beautifully. I have used them before and knew what type of work they did. Told he and his son what I wanted done and it was completed with great craftsmanship. Would highly recommend him.

It went fine since they weren't the best and they weren't the worst. They were quick in responding.

It is difficult to find someone in the Chattanooga area to do small jobs like this. Happy Home Repairs is really a find for us as we have an old house and it is in constant need of something or other. The quality of the work and finishes is high. I feel like Doug is very detailed in both his quoting and execution. He was good about conserving and reusing materials as possible. They left the site clean and tidy. We are happy with the work and will hire Happy Home Repairs again.

I called and requested estimate on needed work. Doug arrived punctually and worked up estimate and sent it to my email exactly when he said he would. We had asked for several different items to be estimated. I emailed him as to the work we wanted him to do first and he scheduled an approx. wait time of 3 weeks as they were very busy.....He called a couple of days before that estimated time and told us exactly when they would be here......Doug and his son arrived on time, were very professional, and they cleaned up behind themselves. We were impressed with the quality of work, the price seemed fair, and they did the job exactly when he said he would......We have found those traits to be so lacking in today's world......We will definitely use Happy Home Repairs again and already have estimate for more work to be done.....

The first time he came he installed the light that I purchased but the light didn't work. I returned the light from where I purchased it and got a new light. The gentlemen came out the next day and installed the new light. Everything turned out very well. I was very pleased with their services and would hire them again in the future.

The job was not very satisfactory and they did not seem to know what they were doing. They were not supporting the roof appropriately so I had to get a different company to come in and fix what they promised to do actually. Persons should avoid this company when doing major remodeling.

Doug was very responsive to my request to come out and look at the job. He also went out of his way to make a suggestion for a model that would fit the tight space we have. It took a few weeks for him to come back out and do the job but I guess that is because he is in demand for his good service! The job was completed to our satisfaction and I was very happy when Doug offered to take back the damaged dishwasher to Lowes for me and have it swapped out same day so we could get the job finished. We have had bad experiences with other handymen in the past so were happy to find a quality handyman.

I was very pleased with Happy Home Repairs. Doug was responsive to my emails about scheduling the work. He showed up on time. He finished the job in a very reasonable amount of time. He charged me less Han what Inaas expecting to pay for the job, which is always nice. He was very professional and explained to me what was wrong with the door and how he fixed it. He was very knowledgeable and I will trust home again with any work around our house that he can do.

He did an excellent job laying the tile. Repaired an electrical issue with the dishwasher. Doug is honest and does what he says he will do. He and his son work together and they are always professional and clean up when they are finished.

Beginning September 3, 2013 I have called and left a message to have an estimate. I have not even received a call saying I am too busy to even call you.

They did a great job drilling new holes in masonry to hang the shutters, and got them mounted level and true. Fixing the joist under the house was done with great skill.

Doug responded promptly to our request for quotation his questions and comments made it obvious to me that I was dealing with a real carpenter something that is hard to find around here. Here looked at the job and responded one week later with a very well done proposal. After review I accepted the proposal and asked Doug to put me in his schedule. Doug and his Son showed up as scheduled after tearing the bay window down they discovered other problems associated with its original build over 20 years ago. To make a long story short Doug rebuilt the bay window in a very professional manner with wonderful workmanship nor normally seen in the south. The door replacement was performed equally well. We are very satisfied and will definitely use Doug and his son in the future.

The job was done professionally, and when extra rotted wood was found under the exterior he fixed it economically and got to the bottom of the cause for the wood rot. Do yourself a favor and hire Happy home repairs you won't be sorry.

I am happy with him and I give him a gold star. He was nice, he knows his job and he was prompt. He is a very busy man so I would believe whatever schedule he would tell me.
