I was really impressed. With exterior painting you do have to work around the weather. The crew came out on the morning and time I was told. They worked the 3 days estimated but had to continue on the following Monday because some of the new screen had little flaws in two pieces so rather than use it, they ordered new to be shipped overnight and were right back Monday with the screen and to finish up the last of the painting. They did an excellent job on the paint job, and they were meticulous in cleaning up the mess afterward-right down to checking windows to make sure any paint that got on the panes was scraped off cleanly. I will definitely use Honey-Do of Johnson City again for other handyman jobs around the house.

They were very prompt with their quote. They were quite a bit higher than ABC on the guttering job but they were talking about using a different material. It was very fine, the lady was straight and upfront and it was good but it seems a little higher based on national averages. They came right up.

The actual work was very well done (especially the carpentry and the ceiling repair). But two things concerned me. One of their employees repeatedly solicited a tip. He offered to work "off the books" and also told me how unfair his boss was regarding pay and tips. That was annoying but I could tune it out easily. What I am very disappointed in was related to a plumbing issue. I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling coming from the shower drain in the master bath. The estimate on the job included an unknown amount for plumbing after a hole was cut in the ceiling to determine the type and extent of the problem. The hole was cut, the problem identified and the worker called in and got a quote of an additional $170.00 to repair it. So when the worker finished the job he presented a plumbing bill of nearly $550 instead of $170. Due to some difficulty in getting the old drain off and replaced, the worker had to await delivery of the proper tools and replacement parts. I reluctantly paid the bill in full but I contacted the office seeking an explanation for why the bill went from $170 to over $500 when it was for their workman not having the proper tools or parts for the job. Despite being assured that I would receive a response to my inquiry, I have been ignored. I can't trust them. Will never hire them again.

It seems like there are too many people involved in coordinating jobs and performing the actual work. My husband and I talked to 2 different office people trying to coordinate getting estimate done, the different jobs, etc. We had a different person than we had talked to come perform estimate and there were 4 different people and/or teams of people that came to complete all jobs over the course of 3 days...sometimes in morning, afternoon, and evening. We had to call to see when workers were showing up because we were never told times just day. Also carpet people never showed up for scheduled day/appt and had to get it completely rescheduled to different day, which was inconvenient as we had to rearrange schedule to be available to let workers in. Overall, jobs got done to a satisfactory level, but communication within company is lacking and scheduling for multiple jobs is a nightmare as it became apparent to us that while "no job is too small" apparently no one is qualified to perform more than one type of job within this company.

I called for estimate and they quickly replied. The work was about 2 weeks out, which I was happy with since my house was just listed on the market. Julie, the office staff, was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. She was very friendly and professional. The guy providing the estimate was friendly and professional and did not rush through the estimate. He wrote down everything I wanted done (the last time I had work done the other company didn't write down everything and forgot some of the work I asked for). The work was completed in less than 2 days. There was one small item outside they forgot to do but when I mentioned it to them they came and fixed it, no questions asked. Some of the estimates I felt were a little high and some seemed fair. I gave them a "C" rating in price because the some of the estimates were a little high but others were fair. I know they have to make a profit, so I know a few things won't be cheap. I have found it difficult to find contractors that will take on very small jobs, so I was very happy with their response time and it was worth the price to me to have the work completely quickly being on the market. They individually priced things so it was easy to eliminate things I thought were too high. I will use them again and would refer them to others.

Cement went well although I was concerned that something might have been needed to make the 2 layers of cement stay together. Seems all right for now. As far as the supports the actual person making the repairs had a shortcut not mentioned or thought of by the original project estimator, as a result the project took much less time then originally quoted. Felt like I got cheated but after my complaint I was given an allowance for the shorter work period.

For the most part went well. Sometimes it seemed like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, though. Would have been nice to have known when they would show up to work...sometimes they would let us know and other times, they would just show up, which wasn't always convenient.

I think their price is reasonable. They came the same day when I called and gave me the quote back as soon as they finished. They were professional, had a marked vehicle, had uniform on and everything was professional.

I needed some exterior stain done on the walls and decking, and the boathouse. The walls and decking needed to be pressure washed first. The Honey Do Service of Johnson City were prompt with the initial estimate and they were professional. They scheduled a time to do the work, but the weather got bad and they couldn't start when they said. The only negative is that they weren't very communicative as to when the would come and do the work. I had to call them to find out what was going on. The scheduled day was Friday and they didn't come and didn't call. They did call on the Monday and came and did the work we had agreed. I got 6 estimates: because there were three areas involved, they had to estimate the pressure washing and staining separately for each area. They gave me a 10% discount for seniors which brought the estimate down to $2782. The grading is only for the estimation. Apart from the communication problem, it was a good experience.

The Honey-Do fella spent way too much time on the bathtub leak and when complete the leak was stopped but the amount of water now being dispensed by the hot or cold was noticably reduced. When I asked if he could do something about this he said he could not. On the other hand he was able to replace the toilet within a reasonable amount of time and it works great. He was neat and when finished took the old one away. Except for an extra part he had to buy, the estimate was ahered to.

After we got the estimates from Honey Do we were able to find other places to get all these jobs done at a better price, so none of the work was completed by this company. Their prices were significantly higher than the prices we actually paid for others to complete these repairs.

It Took a few phone calls to get the work completed but over all they did a very good job. Don't use for HVAC but they were great for cleaning.

I was attempting to purchase a foreclosure and Honey Do came out several times to give me estimates. I added on - it's nothing they didn't do originally. They were great to work with, the prices were reasonable, and they were very accomodating. Unfortonately the house sale didn't go through though. :( I will definately call them for any minor or major repairs when I relocate to that area. I asked for estimates for a new roof, gutter cleaning, bath drain, water heater.

See above. I will not hire them again.

I emailed Honey Do asking for someone to perform some repairs in my home. No response. I then called two different times and left detailed messages with contact info. No answer and no subsequent response. I tried emailing again. Same thing. Finally I called and left another message. No response. Don't waste your time.

The owner came and gave me an estimate for a variety of different jobs I needed performed around the house. He was very nice and friendly. The estimates for some projects were about the same as I received from other contractors, the estimates on others projects was significantly lower , and still other projects were significantly higher. So it will definitely depend on the project on whether you are getting a good deal or not. I choose to have them do the pressure wash the exterior and then paint. I just purchased the house a couple of months ago, and the exterior had been neglected, so I knew there were some rotten boards that would need to be replaced. The deal was supposed to be as they were pressure washing they were supposed to identify which boards would need to be replaced before they starting the painting job. This did not happen, the workers who actually did the work had no idea what I was talking about. So I had to stay on top of it, and identify each piece that needed replaced and request a new estimate every-time I discovered a new piece that needed to be replaced. They did a okay job painting, except I think they ran out of paint before they finished. As I was inspecting the work, I noticed that it looked like a spot was missed at the very top, by the pitch of the roof. I couldn't tell for sure, and I got in an argument with the worker over it. I had to call the owner to come out and inspect it and he has his employee get another can of paint (they were all out) and 'touch up' the spot I had pointed out. It magically disappeared. So in conclusion. They owner is nice and if you have the time to watch over the employee's you can get a really good deal and some good work done.

Very efficient and prompt. All workers seemed like they were expert in what they were doing. They did an excellent job.

Requested an estimate online - they got in touch with me within 24 to schedule. Estimator arrived right on-time, and was mostly professional. Was told that they would contact me with the estimate... NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN.

My appointment was for 1PM. I had explained in advance that I had a drain that was badly clogged, and I had already tried using drain cleaner and also a plunger to no avail. The first technician arrived on time and apparently had no equipment with him. He borrowed my plunger and tried using it.with no success. He advised me that someone else would need to do the work, and he would contact them. The second technician arrived around 5:30 PM and within a few minutes used a snake to unclog the drain.Had my initial explaination of what was needed been listened to, several hours of waiting around would have been avoided.

The job they did at first was very good and at they worked with us to get the job done and done right. The people were nice and very personable. However I made the mistake of paying them before the work was completed. Once I did everything changed, The customer service turned terrible and they would not finish the work or return my calls. I did this because I liked the manager and trusted him. He asked me to pay him so he could close out his books for the end of the year. I know this was my mistake and now it has been over seven months and the work is still not finished. I have called a number of times and left messages but they do not have the common courtesy to return calls. I did reach him once when somehow I got his cell number. He made a number of excuses but still the work is not complete. The sad part is the work they still need to complete is just a few dollars compared to what I paid them. All they had to do was return "one" of my phone calls and they would have had a satisfied customer. It only takes less than a minute to return a phone call but they got paid and that was all they seemed to care about. After the disrespect they have shown me and disregard for completing the job I will never use them or recommend them to anyone.

Called for estimate and it took several days before I had someone come to give me an estimate. We were planning repairs to make our house market-ready. I expected them to be knowledgeable about what repairs were necessary. Instead, they just quoted EVERY project, whether it truly needed to be done or not. We were also not given alternatives, so quotes were for the most extensive projects, rather than less-expensive options. On the quote, the employee came out later in the week (Wed or Thurs) and said we would receive our quote first thing the following week. I waited until the end of the following week and called. The owner answered the phone. She had no idea who I was (even though she is who we initially talked to about getting an estimate) or where my quote was, promised to call back. I waited another week and called back a second time. She still didn't know where my quote was. I did finally receive a call back and was given an estimate. Their prices were reasonable for the individual projects, but we didn't need nearly as much done as they quoted. I was not given any advice as to projects that didn't need to be completed, so we felt they were more concerned about making money off of us than doing what we needed, which was only what had to be done to put the house on the market. After receiving the quote, I never received a follow up call to see which, if any, projects we might be interested in. Historically, companies that have given a quote make a follow up call, but Honey Do of JC did not. We decided to use someone else and completed a fraction of the projects quoted by Honey Do of JC.

Went well they were courteous, prompt and accurate

Called company for quote on installing a $400 storage building. The quote was equal to the cost of the building purchased but we were willing to pay in order to have the building installed properly. Crew came out around 9:30 left before I arrived home around 12:30 leaving behind trash (large cardboard box and beverage bottles). We did not hear back from the company until we called a day later. During the call we were told they could not complete the building without building additional foundations which would have been over $1,000. In the end we paid $180 for foundation prep that took under 3 hours.

We had Honey-Do perform for us work relating to siding and tile work. All of the work that was done was to our satisfaction and done promptly.

The guy came exactly at the time he said he would to give estimate. Was very nice and even helpful with some good suggestions. That was May 7th. He said I should have my estimate that evening or the next day. Approximately 20 days later the office calls to tell me they are ready to email my estimate. I told them never mind, my work was almost complete - by someone else who had done an excellent job. Ridiculous! The only reason I don't rate this provider "F" is because he was punctual and nice. No idea if they do good work ????
