We dealt with Cary C. in the store and could not have had a more professional experience from start to finish. We were in a rush to get a bonus room completed by the holidays. We saw Cary on a Saturday, and the very quickly had Clayton come measure. The floors were delivered the following Monday and were installed flawlessly today. I have done my own flooring in the past (including our kitchen), but it was well worth it to have R&S come and do our floors. Perfectly level, squared correctly, and even trimmed to match our preexisting stair stain. Phenomenal experience. Go see Cary Cundall at R & S and you will have a beautiful floor, guaranteed!

Great! Dealt with Cary and his guidance through the entire process was so helpful. He supplied samples that helped us match our existing floor color nearly perfectly. He also informed us of the 12 month zero interest and answered all the questions we had. Everything went according to schedule. Appointments were confirmed, the crew was fast, efficient and thorough and I couldn’t be happier with the floors. Would have done it sooner had I known it would go this well. Also want to mention that we rec'd a very detailed and inclusive quote. No surprise extras...

(If you do not read this all, then at least read the end for company resolution, they deserve credit for owning and resolving the issues I've had) The estimate R&S did for the wood was 60sqft short. Discovered shortage during installation. Required second visit where R&S said installers would be there at 3pm, installers were told 4:30pm (as requested). Project manager (Eric) not available due to it being a small job. However, Eric, PM was on site the day of installation shortage and remedied the situation quickly and finished install 4 days later. Very good job by wood installers. Very happy. I was not charged for extra wood and labor not included in estimate. Carpet was a separate job installed 1 week later. I gave room measurements to Bill, told him Lowe's was going to charge for a second 12ft roll to cover the 13x14 room. He said R&S does not do that, price was much better so I went with R&S again. Carpet was cut at house, also discovered not enough material for the job without excessive seams. Contractor that received the carpet said it was not ordered correctly for size of room. More carpet was ordered and installed 4 days later (after a no show/call for the scheduled appointment). However, installer did not have the same padding and put in weaker padding for the remainder of area. I questioned the difference in feel and installer said it was compressed and will expand (I waited the weekend for expansion) but that he didn't have the same padding available. It did expand but still very noticeable at main door threshold. On Monday, I told installer to come back and fix it. We scheduled an appt for Thursday. Another no show/call, when I initiated call to R&S they said they would call me back, but instead the installer called me. He then said he would send someone else and they would be there in 2 hours. Yet another, no show/call. I called early Friday morning and we setup again for Saturday at noon. At 12:06pm no show/no call. I texted installer and he showed up at 2:20pm and finished the padding replacement in 30mins. I had the same installer for all visits on carpet. Consistently not reliable. There was no quality assurance/control from R&S with their contractors. However, R&S was always responsive to issues when I called them, but many times they did not follow through to verify the job was done correctly, even after multiple appointment issues and material shortages at my house there was still no aggressive handling to make sure there would not be any more issues and to verify future work was to customer satisfaction. Staff was always friendly and I felt like they meant well, but definitely needed to revamp their business model to ensure quality jobs. I was very satisfied with the end result/work. I e-mailed R&S a long list of how everything went and asked them to determine how much I should pay for the carpet. I told them I'd review their work in Angie's List and with the BBB and their resolution. The regional manager wrote me back and sincerely apologized for everything. He comped 100% of the carpet work and issued a $250 check for my troubles. My approx cost of service was before any Angie's list discounts or comps. I really appreciate their integrity and taking ownership of the errors made! Thank you!

We had new hardwood floors put in throughout our home. We chose a prefinished product to avoid the mess. The staff at the showroom were experts in helping us find the right flooring for the best price. We were surprised to see how quickly they got us set up and how fast the entire job was. We had new floors installed with our furniture put back in one day. Such a friendly and professional staff of people I will not go anywhere else.

R&S installed our floors about 25 years ago and when we wanted to have them refinished we were so excited to see that not only were they still in business but they were on Angie's List. We hired them and are so happy with the results. They are so beautiful I can't stop looking at them.

No one ever returned my request, even after speaking to a rep that said someone would call.

Overall, we are satisfied with our R&S installation and love our new wood floors. Not everything was perfect along the way, but R&S made an effort to make things right. They over-promised and under-delivered on product availability and on how long the installation would take. But they compensated us with a free upgrade on the choice of wood. The installers were extremely accommodating and did a great job with the wood and trim. But they did leave us with quite a bit of cleanup, including glue residue on the floor and a large pile of trash that sat in our front yard over a weekend before it was picked up. That was unfortunate, but upon bringing this to the attention of R&S they discounted our final payment as compensation for the inconvenience and frustration. We believe we got a good value for the floor we now have and would probably use them again.

They never returned my calls. I went to their show room at their request and was there for 6 hours waiting for a guy that was trying to get information that he couldn?t get. He would help other people and come back to me but couldn?t help. They were supposed to call me the next day and they didn't. I had to call them after 5. We made an appointment for today and the guy never contacted me. I?ve been at this for over 2 weeks with them. It took a week for them to come out and measure it took 2 or 3 days to get the estimate. They don?t get back when you have questions about their estimate. Their customer service has been terrible. Their really nice but don't do what they say they will do. I am going to call the manager today to see what the problem is.

I had a very good feeling going in, but I am having a lot of trouble getting them to come back and install the transition strips. I will try another flooring company for the rest of my flooring needs.

The work was fine. They changed the date on me which meant they called me the day before and said they were coming tomorrow and I basically had to unload all of my furniture so I was up all night. They didn’t do all of the work so I had to call them back. They didn’t clean up. I had saw dust outside and some stuff with nails. They were very disorganized and had no clue what was going on.

Not been contacted & wonder WHY! Not a good way to start, R&S. I have paid $199 via PayPal! Well, the work was DONE & it's great! After a billing error, R&S made good on the Angie' s List discount. Thanks!

We purchased two big deals because we opted to do an extra room. I think it turned out pretty well. The only problem I had was we could not return extra so we ended up having to keep it in extra boxes. They just need to make sure they measure a little better. We had already removed all of our carpeting so we had it basically ready for them to come in to do. My advice to others is to make sure they get the square footage right, because people are stuck with it if it is not measured right. That was our only issue because we had to pay extra because of that. Overall they did fine. The product was as good as we thought it would be. We liked the initial person that we purchased from; Phil was good. We had two different installers come; I thought, maybe the same installer would come both times. I just don't want to be a complainer because we are enjoying the product. They did what they said they were going to do. I guess we got what we paid for. There were a couple of places that were chipped a little bit that they had to come back and re-mark or whatever, because we were not going to have them tear it out. I don't know if it was the product itself or the installer. We do like the product; it complements our house.

We would use them again in the future.

We got a very detailed estimate which was also the cheapest we received. We called and scheduled the work, the workers arrived on time and were very pleasant to work with. The whole process was complete in two days nd then end result was excellent!! Highly recommend

I was frustrated with another contractor, so I contacted R&S. I'm very glad I did! The day after I contacted them - the project manager came out and got the process started. The following day, I had hardwood acclimatizing in my home. I felt like they moved very quickly -- even working Christmas Eve (day)! The color and finish look great -- we choose Dark Walnut with a semi-gloss finish -- and it looks like we have a new home! Their team of project management and workers are friendly, professional and take great pride in their work. Clayton, Wade, Sergio, Steve and Clint were all excellent. and the guy who did the shoe molding replacement was particularly meticulous and did a perfect job. There were minor issues in some areas, but R&S were quick to make them right and I know I can count on them standing behind their work. Without any reservation, I recommend them. Top notch company.

R&S are the best! I had recently purchased an older home and the floors were in bad shape. I contacted R&S right after my closing to see how quickly they could get started. They were at the house the next day. The crew were professional and very respectful of my home; informing me of every step and/or potential problems. The job turned out so much better than I'd hoped. I love the color; my new floors look fantastic. I would use R&S for all my flooring needs in the future and will recommend them to all my friends. From beginning to end the process was flawless. The sales man and the project manager and the whole crew were fantastic. They were very accommodating when i needed things fixed and I would recommend them to anyone. They were much cheaper than Empire and some other companies that I got quotes from.

We had mixed results. My wife dealt with it directly. The end quality of the work was 75 out of a 100. But, the main issue is that they did a really crappy job at first. There were a lot of places that were miscolored. There are still spots on the floor that are miscolored. We had to get after them every single time to come back and redo the job. So, for what we paid, I would have expected to be a 100% satisfied. But, it was such a hassle dealing with them. Eventually, we just ended up getting so frustrated that we were just like, "Okay, we're just going to cut our losses and just not go with them again." It was just such a hassle to have them come out again. We had them come out once or twice after that. My wife actually dealt with it entirely. But, I just remember how much she would complain about it. There are still spots on our floor where you can very visibly see that there's a color inconsistency. We got the estimate on July 30. We scheduled for them to come out at the end of August. The total amount that we ended up paying was $1018. That was for our hall, two bedrooms stain and two coats of polyurethane. They tried to push the date back after we had moved everything out of the living room and the entire house. We moved everything. So, they tried to reschedule. My wife called back and pushed them back and had a lot of trouble dealing with the receptionist. After my wife complained, they sent somebody out. They told her that they were going to be done by Sunday. But then, during the work, they called her and told her that the work was not going to be done until Tuesday because of some scheduling thing. So, she had to call them back and have them come out and actually finish it the day they said they were gone to finish it. So, they came out and did the floor. She was unhappy with part of the coloring. So she called them and complained. There were certain parts of our house where the wood had been repaired at some point and so maybe it needed a second coat. I figured that they would come out and go, "Oh, this is obviously different." But, when they left, it was blatantly different. So she called them and had them come out. A really nice guy came out and fixed it. He did a great job. He matched it perfectly for the parts that were initially miscolored. Then, they sent out a guy to do the trim. The guy was kind of a nutso. He kept complaining about his ex-wife and was going on about this and that. While he was doing that, he put the trim down and then he says, "Well, I don't have any paint. So, I'm just going to use some primer that I have." I happened to be home that day and my wife was out. So, I just said, "Okay. Well, you're going to have to settle this with her and with the company. Do whatever you need to do." My wife does design stuff. So, she is very, very particular about stuff. I just was hands-off about it at that point. So she called them back. I think they credited her a little bit for messing that up. I think they tried to charge us and then credited us and it didn't end up on the invoice. So, they finally finished up and everything looked okay. Literally, right after they finished the job, some of the pieces that had been re-stained, it was almost like the stain was buffed off, almost like if you write with a pen on a plastic bag and if you rub it, it rubs off. It was kind of like that. We had been very careful not to put anything on it because they told us that it was going to be a couple of days before it would really cure. So, we have floors which look 75% of what we expected and then, maybe, four square-foot blocks in various places throughout the house, where it's not even like it's slightly inconsistent, there's like a very dramatic difference. We went with them because we were happy about their rating on Angie's List. We thought that was a big thing. If the quality was consistent, it would be a great value. If the quality and service were consistent, it would be amazing because there's some parts of the house, where the floor is just gorgeous. They did an amazing job. But then, you go to another part of the house and it was completely screwed up. It's the living room that's completely screwed up. They did clean up. I don't remember there being any issue with that.

R & S Flooring was the right pick for us: efficient, fair, and great quality hard wood! We recently had them complete our living room (which was carpeted). The room completely transformed with the quality of wood that they referred for us. The selection that we could choose from was beyond what I anticipated but they helped us find what was perfect. I knew R&S was the best company for my family when purchasing our new hardwood floors, the staff was very helpful in making sure I found exactly what I loved for my home and they were very knowledgeable about the various product lines I looked at in the showroom. The salesman answered every question I had and did a very thorough job of explaining everything to me in detail, he provided me with a "what to expect" information sheet and that was very helpful information that pertained to my job. The price was very affordable and I loved that they were going to take care of everything for me, including removal of existing product, installation of new, and a painter that would take care of my new shoe molding. This is a very organized company and R&S did an outstanding job of communicating with me throughout the process. I felt very comfortable having the crews in my home during the process of the work taking place. I was very impressed with the overall job, everything was outstanding! I couldn't be more impressed with this company, they come very highly recommend.

I walked in R&S and asked to speak with someone about changing my kitchen floor due to I just bought a house and wanted something different. The minute I walked in the store a older gentleman greeted me very professional. I told him I wanted to change my kitchen floor and painted him a picture on what I wanted. He said ok and walked to the back and got a lady named Loretta who also was very nice and professional. I did not have to repeat myself to her cause the older gentlemen already painted my picture for her. She showed me a couple of samples and was very helpful. One thing that I really loved about R&S is that they were very focus and interested in making me feel happy and trying to give me everything I wanted. Loretta even let my take a few samples home to see if I liked it for my kitchen floor, which she didn't have to do. Once I picked out what I wanted, the R&S team came out to my house in a timely matter and got the job done. A brand new kitchen and a top notch good job and professional staff memebers. I mean, I have never been excited about flooring before but once you leave this place, you will. THANK YOU R&S and especially Loretta and the older gentleman (sorry forgot his name)
