+ -1 moreEllendale won the bid against 2 other local electrical contractors to install the electrical system in a 1,000 square foot new home in Stanton, TN. They were professional and performed the work in a timely fashion for the lowest price. There was a small glitch when they neglected to install a ground wire for the temporary electric service but they explained the situation to the inspector and had a service technician install the ground wire the next day. It did not cost me any time or money.
Description of Work: Ellendale furnished and installed the electrical system for a newly constructed 2 BR 1 BA home in Stanton, TN.

+ -1 moreExcellent overall service by Ellendale Electric Company and C and K Air and Heating Inc. restored the heat in our house when other companies were closed for Christmas.
Description of Work: Our main furnace failed on Christmas Day. On December 26th, I called a service man from C & K Air & Heating who identified the problem as a bad circuit breaker but stated that we had to have an electrician to replace it. He suggested an electric company but when I called them a recording said they were closed until January 2nd. I called Ellendale Electric Company around 0845 and explained the problem that had left us without heat. Although they only promised to arrive before 1600, they came to our house by 0930 and said that they had given us priority since our heat was out. (The temperature was 32 degrees with about an inch of snow on the ground.) Charlie, the electrician, replaced the faulty circuit breaker within 10 minutes and we then had the heat back on in our house.

+ 0 moreI've used Ellendale Electric since 2005. I wouldn't use anyone else. They installed my alarm system and a floor receptical when I built my house. I was so pleased with the service I received from that that I continued to use them for my other electrical needs. They have always been very responsive when I've needed their services. Their pricing is pretty standard but all in all I know they have always focused on quality work and professionalism. That keeps the stress out of the picture
Description of Work: I had an outlet spark and burn out which tripped some of my breakers. They came out the same day I called.

Description of Work: We had an existing alarm system monitored by a land line. We called our alarm company who initially installed the system 7 years ago and they wanted to send out a sales person who wasn't an installer and wouldn't give us a quote over the phone. It took 3 calls to get them to return our call. We joined Angie's list, recognized Ellendale's name, called them and we received a quote over the phone for a wireless system. A technician came to our home to inspect our existing system to determine if he could use the wireless equipment with our system. He told us more about our system and keypad than the initial installer. He returned at another appointment, promptly installed the wireless system and now Ellendale is our alarm company. We plan to contact them for some electrical work in the future.

Description of Work: They put a fuse panel inside the house. To do this they had to raise the wires to adhere to code. They came in and gave me the estimate and told me everything that needed to be done.

Two men worked at the same time, shortening the hourly time that was needed to complete the job. So even though it was more per hour, it cost less for the total job because they could work more quickly.

When they came out, they checked everything in my house to make sure I had the proper power coming out of my panel where they could do the work. They were a little more expensive than an couple of them, but they did a lot more in the estimate phase. They were extremely thorough.

Description of Work: They came and wired two dedicated outlets in my kitchen. It required climbing in the attic.
