+ -1 moreKeith and Kevin were phenomenal. They arrived exactly on time and got the job done courteously, quickly and for a very reasonable price in my opinion. This is an older home so the rooms have only a single switch for the light, so I'd purchased a special wireless switch that allows you to control the light and fan individually from the wall. I couldn't be happier and I'll be having them come back to do more work for us.

He was very quick with his work, very courteous and he cleaned up afterwards. The quality of work of excellent because I had two different sizes of downrods and he suggested the best one to use. He was very nice and I had no problems and he showed me where I could switch the fan movements. I was very satisfied with it and he called me when he was en route to let me know and I appreciate that.

+ -1 moreI set the appointment and the very next day they called and showed up as promised. I gave them the new fixtures and bulbs and they were able to match the existing holes to install the more efficient lighting. They told me the T-12s were eventually being discontinued so it was good that I selected the smaller and brighter lights. They also replaced a dim 40 watt bulb in the master closet with a 60 watt. Chad Adams and the other installer were very professional and efficient. They gave me some tips regarding adding low voltage lighting once I hire a landscaper. Will hire again!
Description of Work: Took down two T-12 workshop lights in garage and replaced with T-8 fixtures. Changed bulb in master closet to higher wattage.

+ -1 moreThey came and got the work done the following day and I have had them back three times not for the same job but for different other things on the property. They charged me less money. They were amazing. They certainly live up to what you expect from someone on Angie's List. If you see somebody on Angie's List you think I am going to go with this and this is going to be great. I know what to expect with someone that is on Angie's list but the other company not so much. They were good. They did something inside the house, lighting in the front and back. I really like them and I would use them for anything I need in the future. Their price was half with what the other company did and I think they gave me suggestions above what I said I wanted and it turned out to be infinitely better setup than what I thought I needed. They installed way more lightings for less money. They could have taken a large amount of money and I am very pleased with it. The lighting would have minuscule and with what they suggested and what they did I am very pleased with it.

He also ensured that the pool pump functioned properly after completion of the job. I recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work that needs done.
Description of Work: We made arrangements to meet at my house at which time not only did he replace the GFCI outlet but also replaced the cover for the pool receptacle.

Description of Work: I made an appt with this company, and they were a no show. They failed to call with an explanation. The receptionist was so nice and professional, when I made the appointment. I thought for sure the employees/ owners would have been courteous enough to say they could not make it or reschedule the appt. I even told them that I got their name from ANGIE' s List.

+ -1 moreThese contractors did a great job. First, they came out (on time) and looked at the job and gave a detailed estimate. When I called to make the appointment they gave me several choices and told me they would call first thing in the am of the day I requested to schedule time. They called about an hour before comb out. Two men came out, talked t me about the job and then started. The covered floors, did all the work, and even showed me what they were doing. After completion they cleaned up and asked if I wanted to keep packaging or I'd they should take it. Job ended with cost exactly as estimate. Would highly recommend them

+ -1 moreTwo electricians came to house right on time. Assest what needed to be done after considering several possibilities. Went back to the van bringing back all the tools and wire need for the job. I ask them to be careful not to allow our house cats to get outside and they were very good about keeping doors closed. I greatly appreciate this. The work was done very quickly. It was very obvious that these were two men that knew thier work and had worked together often. I would use Ellendale Electric again without hesitation.

He called to give me 30 minutes notice and found, fixed, and explained my problem in minutes. I really enjoyed talking with Scott while he worked - a true professional. He was explaining to me the physics of the ballast for a fluorescent light ... I highly recommend this company.

They also ended up doing several more things that my husband asked for later and charges were minimal if any. They will always be our number one choice if we ever need an electrician again.
Description of Work: Wired 800 sq feet of attic space that we were finishing out into a rec room and bedroom. Hung 2 ceiling fans and 3 light fixtures, and a couple of odd jobs as well.

+ 0 moreThey arrived a little earlier than estimated and called about 20 minutes ahead of time, which was great. They were personable and seemed to be professional. The major issues I had were: 1) they left a hole about fist-sized that they didn't patch. Now I'm going to have to call someone to patch that; 2) they didn't clean up after themselves - there was drywall everywhere; 3) they were really expensive. I expect electrical to cost about $90 an hour. They charged $110 for a 35 minute job. I gave Ellendale a C because they did an average job. To get an above average rating, they should have told me that they wouldn't be patching the hole before they got started. They should also ALWAYS clean up after themselves. I don't expect them to vacuum my house, but I shouldn't go into a room, after someone has charged me $110, and spend 30 minutes cleaning the counters, walls, and floors.
Description of Work: The electricians move a light fixture in my bathroom. The contractors who built my house did a shoddy job in everything, including placement of light fixtures, etc. I had Ellendale move the light fixture to be centered with the faucet and mirror.

He could have done the job and collected his money, but he explained that he would rather do it differently and asked that I allow him to rescedule so that he could have the materials to do it the way he preferred. When he returned, he took care of it professionally and with quality workmanship. I have used Ellendale many times over the years and they always deliver quality work with a good attitude.

Description of Work: We had an electrical problem on Christmas Day. Lost power to 16 outlets. Had family visiting and no power in part of the house was not the best scenario. I have used Ellendale Electric Company in the past and had very good experience with them. However, I left a VM expressing my situation (on Christmas Day. Yep, I get it, I in no way expected them to answer or come right out.) However, they didn't return my call until over a week later! It was after New Years day, and they sounded suprised I had already gotten my issue taken care of. Maybe they closed down for the holidays (Christmas through New Years Day), but their website nor their phone messaging indicated so. I did have success with using them in the past, but sorry to say they fell short of expectations this time. I needed them and they evidently didn't need my business. I gave them a "D" because the did return my call to them, it just took them way to long to do so. I was pleased with the services they performed for us in 2010. (New installation of exterior electrical outlets, replacement of light switches, and a ceiling fan installation.
