Description of Work: "They did a very professional job, the roof looks great! Christopher Whitten, my sales rep., did a wonderful job, making recommendations as to the look, energy savings, and ways to bring my home up to current construction code requirements. The installers did a wonderful job, finished in one day, and the clean up was fantastic! The only problem I encountered was that one of the roofing nails penetrated the line for my air conditioner, disabling the unit. I understand this is a common occurrence when the A/C line is run too close to the roof joists, however, this was not explained to me on the front end, causing me to invest in having a heating and air contractor out to access the problem at a cost of $75.00. When I contacted Brian Elder regarding repairing the unit I was told it would be three days before his contractor could repair the line. This was not an acceptable time line as I have a friend who is disabled, in a wheelchair, living with me who needed the air conditioning due to lung problems. I felt they were giving me the run around on getting someone out sooner. Their contractor called to set up a date and time for the A/C repair and upon explaining the situation to him he agreed to come the next morning for me. Summary: great roof, great sales rep, great installers, not so great service when I encountered a problem that they said was ""common"" but was not explained on the front end."

Description of Work: Would NEVER recommend!! Had our roof torn off and replaced at the beginning of October 2014. March 2015, we are having to have a large of it torn off and properly installed as well as all of the flashings properly installed. Since October, we have had 6 major roof leaks, carpets, ceilings and walls ruined by the leaks. Also have has a significant amount of personal property ruined by leaks. The initial job also included some work to the inside where the first roof had leaked (shingles missing so the very first roof leaked. His company tore that roof completely off and installed a brand new complete roof). No paint or finishes matched at all. What was estimated to be a 4 day project drug out over 20 days too. Several days they were scheduled to show up and didn't show up or call. Crews would leave around 10 in the a.m. on the days that they were there then show back up at 3 or 4 and work some nights until 7,8, or 9, which was totally disruptive (if they wouldn't have left in the middle of the day, that wouldn't have been an issue). Also, the paint that they used can literally be wiped off of the wall with a wet cloth. They wanted to be paid for almost $2,000.00 for lighting that our insurance company covered that they "forgot" to install. Also completely forgot to ever touch a room in our pool house yet still wanted to get paid for that too. 100% dissatisfied!! Would never recommend!! Please beware!! Contract does say that they operate under Tennessee Home Improvers, Inc license, so I would be mindful of that company as well!

I am so sorry for your experience. I do feel compelled to add some information that you neglected to point out. Specifically, that we fought this in court, and I won. You appealed the original judgment, then you settled for the entire amount, minus a light fixture that we didn't do. The choice to settle was yours. you had every opportunity to make these accusations to the court, but chose not to. We both agreed in legal documents that the entire matter is settled. It seems disingenuous to settle in full, then continue to post one sided reviews that ignore huge details. Several months after our settlement, your roof (along with thousands of other roofs in the area) experienced an "ice dam" and leaks due to the snow. I have an iron clad warranty. However, please be fair, you have not contacted me about this. I only know of your leaks through your various attempts to discredit me on social media. I even texted you to remind you that I will honor my warranty. Your husband advised me that you would be filing another claim with your insurance company. You can't accurately insinuate that I did not honor my warranty, when I called YOU and offered to tend to this. We build or repair over 2000 roofs per year. I wish I could tell you every customer is free of honest disagreement. And, to be fair, I believe our disagreements were honest. I have an A+ rating with Angies List and the Bureau because I always strive to settle disputes honestly, and in most cases in favor of the customer. Unfortunately, our disagreements required the courts to decide. I regret that. I am truly sorry that we couldn't have parted as friends. Please also allow me to state publicly what I texted you last month....I will still honor my warranty if you call me.

Description of Work: They promised to call within two days to schedule a date for work, but it took them 5 days to respond to me. When they finally did call, I told them that I could not wait due to my roof issue and I had to find someone else to do the job.

Going into the process of getting a new roof. I was at first really put off by it bc I didnt want to shell out the money. Brian Elder's Roofing worked with my insurance company and got my roof replaced without any out of pocket expenses! I was suprised to say the least but extremely happy. Going forward in the process his workers were respectful of my property and worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up immediately after my roof was replaced! Overall, I was completely pleased with there work!

I found them on the web, and called for an estimate. Upon further inspection, they discovered that my roof was damaged enough to be covered by State Farm. They handled the entire claims process from beginning to end, upgraded me to the more modern shingles and didn't even charge me my deductible. I was particularly impressed with the clean up. I would definetely reccomend them.
