TruGreen Lawn Care - 5769

Keep a close eye on this company. They were not doing what I was paying for. I finally pointed it out to another technician and he said one of the employers was fired for not doing his job properly. I never heard from the owner either. I was very unsatisfied with their work.

I called Scott's on a Thursday and spoke to (apparently) a customer service person. She told me that a salesman would call me to set up an appointment to look over my lawn and (presumably) make a proposal. It's now 9 days (6 full business days) later and I have heard nothing.

In the end we negotiated a pricing option of $85.00; the service was good and worked out well, but the pricing switch gave me a bad taste in my mouth.

They did not show up to do one of the treatments when they scheduled and did not call.

They were very nice but we still have weeds. I watched him, it looked like he got it all. They used a weed and feed application. I think there was more feed because the lawn is green but not all the weeds are gone. The lawn is very green but weedy. They said they would respray and have not yet. It has almost been a week. If I do not see them by the end of this week I will call them. They were moderately priced and were hear when they said they would be. They were cheaper then the competition and did front and back.

Got estimates and inspections from about 6 roofing companies including Adams. Mr. Adams was very professional and thoroughly inspected our roof which turned out to have two layers of shingles. Told us we needed flashing around our chimney and vent pipes and some of the roofing wood might need to be replaced due to rot and water damage. Within a few days, we were e-mailed a quote for the above services which was very reasonable and the lowest of all the companies that gave us a quote. His quote was straightforward and did not have any add-on costs which some of the other companies included with their quotes. He was busy and said he had a few jobs ahead of us but could get the job done within 2-3 days once he started. Office called us about the type of shingles and answered all our questions via e-mail over the next couple of weeks. After 4 weeks, we contacted Adams Roofing about when they might be out and received a prompt response that we were next. Within a few days they came and gave us a new roof and at our request fixed some problems with eaves and rotten wood spots. Received an invoice which was slightly over the estimate due to materials. His crew and office staff were very courteous and professional during all our interactions. When the roof was finished his crew did an excellent job at picking up debris, nails, and disposing of all. We are very pleased with Adams Roofing and would highly recommend them!

This is a notice, as of 06/09/2013, I am suspending my service with Scott's Lawn Service. I want this effective immediately. Do not apply Round 3 of my program and discontinue any further treatments until further notice. I am going to investigate other companies and the services they can provide. I find Scott's Lawn Care to be inconsistent in service and lacking in the professional commitment to my lawn's individual needs and unwilling to take advantage of the opportunity given them to correct the issues we have.

They did an adequate job. The workers were fine. We will use them again in the future.

On-Time and On-Schedule. Did a good job. Cannot get billing straight.

Price was comparable to Scotts quote I already had. TRU Green quote was for 6 treatments, Scotts for 7. Salesman measured yard to be approximately 800 sq. yd. more than other' measurements and then tried to explain he had under estimated measurement to keep price down.

This is the rating of 4 part. THERE IS NO WAY TO TALK TO ANYONE LOCALY ABOUT SERVICE, ASK QUESTIONS, NOTHING. YOU CAN SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THEIR WEBSITES, GETS LOTS OF PHONE NUMBERS AND THEN THE FRUSTRATION STARTS. IF FINALY FIND A WAY TO TALK TO SOME ONE LOCALY THEY APOLOGIZE AND SAY THAT COPORATE PUT IN THE PRESENT SYSTEM TO AVOID LONG WAITS ON THE PHONE. THE OFFICE PEOPLE IN GA. TEXAS, VA, ARE ALL NICE. BUT MESSAGES TO NOT GET THROUGH TO THE TECH. IN THE TRUCK. YOU MAY OR MAY NOT GET A RETURN PHONE CALL AND THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IS MARGINAL. They are corporate and you are a phone number.

We signed up for full chemical treatment of our lawn. When the service tech finally did show up on both occassions, they did not treat the entire lawn, as was agreed upon, duirng the phone negotiation. I contacted the manager repeatedly after both applications and only received promises that it would be taken care of. We finally gave up and cancelled the service. The manager mentioned that Morristown was "prettey far out in their service area" and it really showed with their lack of service and lack of commitment to treat our lawn, as was agreed upon. I would not recommend them to anyone in the Morristown area. Maybe when the put a satellite location closer to Morristown, their service will improve, but for now...2012 - 2013, they have no real interest coming all the way from their West Knoxville location, all the way out to Morristown.

I have used them for a long time. They have our year contract and they do so many visits throughout the year. They are reliable. Their workmanship is good.

I saw some improvement in my lawn, but not it was not enough to impress me with their cost.

I was in the market for Lawn Fertilization services in the Spring before finally deciding to provide my own treatment using fertilization and weed/bug control from Home Depot and Lowes. I requested a quote from True Green and they NEVER RESPONDED! Wow, you would think that they would want additional business and to provide a competitive quote given the size of their company. Apparently not! Oh well. Maybe next Spring they will be interested in giving a quote.

I give them an A plus. I've been very happy with them.

On Friday, 5/25/2012, at approximately 9:50 AM, Brian arrived to spray all the shrubs and trees. He stayed a very short time, was not observed to go into the backyard which was fenced in and had a "Dog on Premises" sign. He never asked if the dog was put up, which he was. I observed him spraying a dogwood tree - he did a quick up and down motion and could not have reached the top nor did he go behind the tree to get the other side. My husband went out to speak to him. Brian said that he did not treat the trunks of established trees (different from what his boss Shawn had told us) and he did not notice Holly bushes or Rose of Sharon bushes or the Crepe Myrtle tree in the backyard (probably because he didn't go in the back.) He said that nothing was wrong with the ivy in front of the house but it was obvious that numerous leaves were turning yellow and brown and had large holes in them. He said that it was against the law to spray a plum tree even if it was ornimental and had no fruit on it but was infected with bugs. We were extremely disatisfied with Brian's service. We were told by True Green that Brian is the only 'tree person' they have working for them. He never did treat our tall, well established trees. Three days later, we noticed large tan bugs on our Red Bud tree and spider mites under the leaves of several low trees. My husband attempted to alert True Green management that Friday afternoon of our dissatisfaction with Brian's service. He was told that both Brent and Chad are managers but that neither one were avaialble. He left a message for either one to call him. On Monday, 5/28 and Tus 5/29/12 my husband called and again left messages for a manager to return his call. On Wed. 5/30, Brent called - i took the call and relayed that my husband was not available for the moment. Brent said that he was going in the field and would call back in 30 minutes. He didn't call back. We called again that afternoon, with no answer. After we sent a letter to True Green on 6/6/12, we finally heard from Brent and then Brian. The problem was discussed with Brian and we related that we would not pay for services not rendered. Brian said that they would not bill us. Our neighbor said that she too had had problems with them over service to her trees.

It went just fine - please see above. Very satisfied - start date 3/22/2011 and continuing through June, 2012.

I have been using them for years. I get compliments from my neighbors about my lawn all of the time. They are here on time. I love their services. They always leave comments about my lawn and the chemicals they used. They are excellent.

If I see an area that is still showing a weed they are quick to return and take care of it. My trees and shrubs have never looked so good!

It was a very good experience. I give them As across the board and will continue to use them in the future.

The overall experience was excellent. The price and quality were excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I called them back because I noticed there was no fertilizer in one area, and they came back out and did it free of charge. I would use True Green in the future and I would refer them to others.

They are just doing what they said they were going to do as far as weed control. They are scheduled to come through the summer.

Our shrubs are growing much better than they ever did before. Their price is pretty good.

So far, I am satisfied with them. They provide a complete list of what they do, and they do a good job. I will continue to use them in the future.
