Once the job was started it was performed in a quick and professional manner. The crew performing the installation seemed very skilled and knowledgeable, in particular the crew lead person. Maybe it was just luck, but after removing my satellite dish and then carefully reinstalling it, I still got a strong satellite signal and did not have to call out the satellite company to recalibrate it. In my mind, here is the most impressive part of their work. While both my neighbors used roofers who just tore off the old roof letting it fall to the ground attempting to catch the debris on tarps, Hunter's crew tore off each shingle one by one and carried stacks of them to their trailer backed up to the house on our driveway. By bringing their own trailer to haul off the old shingles, neither our street or our drive was obstructed with some huge dumpster drop-off. This method not only spared my shrubs and landscaping, but there was no big mess on the ground to clean up. Since the job has been completed, I found only two loose nails around the house. From my neighbor's roof job, I found shingle debris in my yard that was missed in their cleanup effort. This method Hunter used to remove the old shingles also left most of the old felt paper intact. By doing so and putting the new felt paper over it, I can't help but feel that it will add the the water tightness of the whole roof system. In an unrelated note, I asked Keith Hunter to drop by a mobile home of a senior citizen to give me an evaluation of what kind of shape the roof was in as I was trying to see if there might be a way to get this homeowner money for repairs from a nonprofit or the state. Keith agreed and went out of his way to look at the home even though he does not perform work on mobile homes and would gain no benefit from it.

The only thing that I didn't like too much is that they didn't keep in good contact with me. I didn't even get to meet the person who provided the estimate, only the receptionist with whom I spoke on the phone. They did a pretty good job with the work. Communication was difficult with the crew.

I received the Angies List discount too. They were prompt. They were good to work with. They did exactly what they said they would do. They did a good job. I would use them in the future.

I was very pleased so far. They came and inspected my roof and mailed me an estimate. I called and asked some questions and they were able to answer all of them.

From the beginning to the end of the project Hunter Roofing operated professionally. Following the initial inspection by Mr. Hunter, we received a detailed quotation with supporting documents showing the products to be installed. We selected a roofing color that is different from our old roof. They directed us to an installation of the selected color for our review to insure our confidence with our selection. The colors we chose worked beautifully on our house style. New features designed to enhance the roofing system were incorporated into the contract and my wife and I understood the scope of work before the project was launched. The cost was competitive with other contractors. Hunter Roofing required a down payment before the project began. However, the company has been in business in our location for a number of years, has a superior rating on Angie's List and we had developed confidence in the company from contact with the Hunters. So we agreed to the down payment. The project was completed in two and a half days. The roofing crew worked efficiently and carefully to not damage the new siding, gutters and aluminum trim work recently installed on our house. Questions were promptly addressed and answered to our satisfaction. Waste materials were collected and removed from the site. The yard was swept with a magnet pickup device. In summary quality of the materials and installation are first rate.

This company is way more professional than I expected. The owner, Keith Hunter came out and got up on the roof to measure for an estimate. Then he sent me an impressive package with the written quote, which also included some glossy brochures and pictures of roofing materials and colors. They arrived for installation on the day they promised, and finished the job in two days. Clean up was thorough and the roof with the new architectural shingles looks awesome. I would definitely recommend them.

It went very well.

Very prompt, answered all my questions, made suggestions (e.g. contact insurance company for evaluation, color of shingles). We had hoped for a repair of small area, but the roof had hail damage and we were able to get the entire roof replaced. Workers were effecient, worked steadily and completed it in a day and a half. They cleaned up and removed all debris each day. We are very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend this compay to anyone in the Upstate area. Total cost matched the estimate.

My experience with them was excellent! The Hunters are very nice to deal with. The workmen were very professional. I was very impressed with them. They came when they said they would and got right to work. They didn’t mess around and were able to get this done right away! The men did a really great job. We had a roofing job done about 15 years ago and within 30 days we had leaks and the man would not come out and deal with them. Hunter’s roof has been on for 4 months now and there haven’t been any leaks. They got the length just right and I was very impressed with the seals that go around the plumbing vents in the roof. I’ve never seen a roofer do that before.

The work performed and the materials used were satisfactory in every way

I would recommend this firm to anyone! The crew arrived on time, worked very hard, and finished the job in one day. They did a top-notch job, too. It was obvious they took pride in their work and the guys were friendly and very eager to please. The pricing was very competitive. Clean up was great. The owner came by the next day to look over the job, and picked up a few tiny pieces of debris. I did find a couple of roofing nails afterward, but I think they'd been tossed toward a trash can and missed. Overall, I wish I could hire this company to do more work for me because they're reliable, competitive and the level of care given to the job is exceptional.
