My air conditioning was set to 71 degrees and the thermostat read 78 degrees. A technician came to the home relatively quickly, however, that is where the good news story ends. After appearing to check the air conditioning he first insisted my air conditioning's were too small for my home, although we never had an issue that couldnt be corrected in the five years we lived there. He then concluded that all I needed to do was change my filters. The cost for this was $95.00. Once he left I changed the filters and the issue continued. We contacted them and they refused to come out again without us having to pay another service fee, and then we were told to monitor it and see if the issue resolved itself. We contacted another company that came out and informed us the Freon was low and the system was frozen. He thawed the coils and topped off the fluids correcting the issue. Bottom line, we essentially paid $95.00 for absolutely no work from All American Heating and Air. Very disappointing.

Though I have a service agreement with another HVAC company, their on call guy didn't bother to return my call for over five hours, leaving me to believe that they wouldn't bother to come out. I chose this company because of their high rating on Angie's List and they proved why they earned it. The technician from All American, Bobby, called me back within twenty minutes and then came out to the house and diagnosed the problem quickly--a technician from my alarm company had flipped a switch clearly labeled "Do not touch", turning off my heat, when he was in my attic yesterday. Unfortunately, this is a part of my home inaccessible to me so I had to call someone out to fix it. I knew in advance what the charge would be to come out on a Sunday and Bobby was professional and courteous. I will be dropping the service plan from the other company and go with All American from here on out.

due to all the A ratings on angies list, ALL AMERICAN H@A was the first and only company i called. KIM at their office was very professional and said she would arrange a repair appt asapa. i called her on thursday 7/30/15 and at 4 pm and was very surprised that she called back in 45 minutes and said she could have repairman at my house immeiately. jeff arrived 15 mnutes later and proceed with repairs, (replace electrical unit i ac unit outside and both ceiling filters inside and was gone with less than an hour. i highly recommend to this company to anyone. by the way i got service withng one hour. and couldn't believe it. EXCELLENT RECOMMENDATION.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A/C went out in the middle of the night. Realizing that its nearly impossible to get immediate service as appointments have been booked. We called this and another companies answering service. Tech called at approx 8am to inform us that they were booked up for the day and may be able to work us in but could not give us a time which is very understandable especially during the summer months. However when my wife mentioned that we contacted another company as well and asked if we should call to notify them if we got a faster appointment elsewhere to beat the 100 degree heat and to not waste their valuable time was told by the tech "We dont play that game, just go with the other company". Seemed a little harsh and non professional in their response. I wont say dont use this company as Ive not gotten their service and have no idea if their prices or quality of workmanship is good or not but I will say that I will not recommend anyone try to utilize their 24/7 emergency service.

Yes we are familiar with this customer calling us. The owner of the company spoke to [removed member's name] Actually what she said is :i am on three companies schedules and whoever gets here first gets the job" The owner told her to go ahead and use another company that we are not in a race and we do not play that game as her husband stated We often tell our potential customers if they get someone else to fix their unit faster to go ahead and if not to call us back and then we will add them to our schedule This is a different scenario whereby the customer is scheduled and dispatched to a technician therefore blocking us from adding other customers to the workload all the while waiting for "the first ccompany that shows up to get the job" This is not the best way to schedule service for your home, just because a company arrives first doesn't mean they are the best provider of service or offer the best warranties and or prices. If one of our trucks pulls up to your home and another provider is already at your home we do not come into your home. These 100 degree days have many homeowners scramblng to get relief but placing your name on the actual dispatched schedule in several companies causes many customers to be rescheduled in a domino effect. I an glad you were able to be serviced quickly and sorry that we could not get to you sooner.

Called All American at about 8 PM on a Friday night when we discovered the AC was not working. They called back quickly and scheduled us for the next day. They arrived at around 11 AM and rapidly determined the capacitor needed replacement. They replaced the part quickly.

Heat pump blower went bad. Their service was very prompt and the tech's were very polite and responsive. The part was under waranty but had to be ordered. I was offered to use an overnight service for it which I did have to pay for that but part arrived next day and tech installed that same day. Just excellent service start to finish.

Description of Work: Our air conditioner went out Sat.night, so we called All American on Sunday because they had 24 hr. emergency service. I had my 83 yr. old Mother in Law with me, who was not able to tolerate the heat. When we called we got an answering service and were told we would get a call right back. This was around 7:00 am. They did not bother to call us back until around 1:45PM. Then we were told that he had not been able to get a hold of his tech right away and then he just forgot to call us back, and that we were not in his service area anyway. According to their ad, they cover the greater Midland area, and we are smack in the middle of it. I have no idea what kind of work they would have done, but their service as far as getting back to us was awful. We called someone else about an hour after we originally called them, and had someone out within the hour.

When I first saw the address and the negative complaint I thought surely this is some company in Ohio Then I spoke with our technician on call who did remember speaking with a Mr [removed member name] in Prosperity, SC on Sunday Morning The technician did call the customer back at 7:03am and The technician on call informed Mr [removed member name] that he didn't know if we serviced that area of Prosperity and would call another technician who knows that area of the lake better. This is where All American should have made the 2nd call to Mr [removed member name] letting them know for a fact that we do not service that far out in Prosperity The on call technician did call Mr [removed member name] back after talking with the other technician but it should have been in a much more timely fashion I do apologize that the on call tech did not call you back sooner. He did return the call and apologized to Mr [removed member name] who was very polite and told our tech "That's alright, we called another company who does work in this area and it is already fixed" In the future when the on call weekend technician technician is uncertain of our service area to get back in touch with the customer within the hour. I am glad to hear you and your mother in law were able to get relief from this hot SC summer weather I am sorry we were unable to help you and apologize for not calling back sooner.

Very professional and I felt like they offered a good price with quality service. As my furnace went out in January and I have two small children, the owner of the Company personally came out with his crew that day to replace the unit. I would use them again and never look up another company.

OUTSTANDING, STELLAR SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH! My poor old central a/c unit was done for. It was hot. I called All American Heating and Air. Steven came to my home that very same day. He tried to get the compressor working. The compressor was completely inoperable and the a/c unit needed replacement. My duct work was in bad shape and needed replacement. Steven returned to my home the very next day with a large crew from All American Heating and Air. Within 4 hours, the a/c unit was replaced, the duct work was completed and the larger air return vent was done. I HAD AIR CONDITIONING AGAIN! I don't know how they did it on such quick notice, especially with all the customer needs with the hot weather. Maybe this is how All American Heating and Air manages to get the job done: hard work and commitment to excellence in customer service. I have been a customer of All American Heating and Air for a few years. ALWAYS, I have found EVERYONE at All American Heating and Air to be: professional, honest, quick-responding, knowledgeable, very friendly and completely devoted to excellence in customer service. ALWAYS, I have received a fair price from the get-go. My latest experience exceeded even my wildest expectations from start to finish....how refreshing it is to be a customer of such a dedicated group of hard-working folks. I am grateful to everyone at All American Heating and Air and grateful that they are in our community!

I have medical problems that the heat aggravates. Our A/C went out and we called them on a Friday night. They were willing to come out on a Saturday to fix the problem. They were able to identify the problem right away, they had the part that was needed, the installed it and we had cool air immediately. They were remarkable from start to finish.

I signed on for a service contract mid winter because my service provider for the past 25 years was just getting too expensive. I was used to the provider calling to arrange the twice yearly service. That did not happen. So, with hot weather in the forecast, I called to arrange my spring tune up on Monday. I was told they would they would be here on Wednesday but could not provide a time window (my old provider did). I have been waiting at my home all day. I called to find out when they would be coming and was told it would be NEXT Wednesday, again not time window. Not pleased. I have paid for 2 yearly tune ups but I will be shopping for another company come the turn of the year.

Currently we schedule over the phone usually a week out and call the homeowner or business owner 30 minutes ahead of time Please let us know if you have any concerns during the hot summer months or until we do your winter check up. The price was fair. We have used them before. The first time we used them, we got a bad heat pump and they went way out of their way to correct it. They were excellent. I think the backyard was cleaner when they left than it was before they got here.

I picked this company because of their of the Veterans - most recently were seen as a sponsor at the Charity ride for Veterans at the Columbia VA. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: It was the day before the snow was due to arrive and they came within a few hours to diagnose the problem. He was very quick and efficient and found the problem within minutes. Unfortunately the furnace was DOA so needed to be replaced.

We leveraged an existing service agreement with All American Heating & Air to have them investigate a packaged heater/air conditioner which quit working on Friday 17 Jan 2014 night during a significant cold snap in SC. The service technician arrived as scheduled on Monday AM, as I did not want to pay extra for a weekend visit, and he confirmed the unit's control board had burned up (I detected the electrical burning smell when it happened). Since the unit was over 10 years old, he also checked the heat exchanger for servicablility and found a few pencil eraser sized holes from age/rust, which he showed me. This is a safety issue due to CO gas. He provided a written estimate for the cost to repair (~$2,500) and a second estimate to replace the unit (~$5,000 including an extended labor warranty). I researched the suggested replacement unit and competitor units online, as well as using Angies List to get three other HVAC company bids. All American was neither the highest, nor the lowest bid, but was price competetive. I picked them for the combination of equipment and confidence in getting a correct install. The orignal builder's installation was a very poor design and the All American install technicians listened to and corrected each of the deficiencies I discussed with them. The install team was prompt, provided good communication, and did a beautiful install. They used very thick insulation for the portion of the ducting which extends beyond the crawl space and through the aluminum flashing container they expertly crafted. We have noticable warmer air flow from the new system and I believe this is in part due to the care they exercised in improving this part of the system. My only minor gripe was the estimate included a new thermostat, but the team arrived with a manual thermostat, when I already have a programmable one. I declined the thermostat downgrade and do not know if a manual thermostat is the company's standard practice or was just bad luck due to the large number of unit replacements the cold snap produced. IMHO in this day and age, replacement HVAC projects should include a programmable thermostat as the standard item. I will include All American as a bidder in any future work and based on my experience would highly recommend others do the same. The HVAC industry is known for harboring lots of shady characters, All American Heating & Air is one of the GOOD companies. (FYI: I have previously fired two different HVAC companies for attempting shady tactics). Also, my thanks to Angies List, the other three site recommended companies I interacted with were of similar business quality based on their performance during the contract bid process.

Punctual, friendly and professional. They were the lowest bidders for the HVAC system I was shopping for. I found it very difficult to turn them down but I did hire somebody else with a similar system and price. I have no reason to list on why I didn't hire them ( gut feeling on my part.).They are extremely competitive about pricing on their product. I would have to flip a coin if faced with a replacement system decision again and would most likely do business with them. When you are faced with a decision that involves a considerate amount of money , you want to be sure . I simply like another company a hair better . I appreciate the time they took to explain the system to me.

Called them at 2:00 pm requesting service. Said they would put us in the service que and that a technician would call when on the way. They did say that there was no way to estimate a time but that we would be seen today. Tech called at 6:40 pm to say that he was on his way. Arrived at 7:00 . Tech went to work after introducing himself. Was receptive to me looking over his shoulder

The technician called before arrival and also arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable about my HVAC system and diagnosed the problem quickly. I have used All American in the past as well and have been extremely pleased every time. My outside A/C unit is very old and the last time All American was at my house they quoted me for a new system and new duct work under the house. I thought the quote was extremely expensive, but I do like their work and the technicians get right down to business and tell you exactly what the problem is before proceeding.
Description of Work: My A/C unit would not come on so I called All American. It turned out to be a loose wire at the compressor and I was only charged a fee for the service call ($95) to reconnect the wiring.
