"Made contact with a gentleman named Cortez. He said that it should be no problem and requested that I text him pictures of the area needing patched. I sent him the pictures and never heard from anyone again. I spoke to someone else with the company at a different number. That person told me he would have Cortez contact me. Very disappointed considering they were recommended on here."

"When you pay someone to install windows, you expect all parts of the installation to be completed! We hired this company based on a referral and theirs were done correctly. Our conversation was install of windows with us removing the existing inside window frame. They ASSUMED we would complete the windows. —- window casings and frames —- This was NEVER discussed and we were never told this was not part of their install price. Had we been informed, we most definitely would have requested that work to be done. When I questioned when they would finish, I was told they were not completing the project because we were. This was NOT written in the contract. If we had known they were leaving the windows unfinished completely on the inside, we would not have agreed!!! The owner called after his wife and I had worked things out and he was as far away from professional as you can get and he told me “they had more important jobs to do and would not be completing the job”. His wife called back and they did end up installing the casing and frames, BUT no caulking was done nor was I told it needed to be done to make the windows sealed correctly. Now we know why we have moisture on the inside of new windows when it’s chilly in the morning. After talking to other professional window installers, we have been told that that is part of completing window installations. We do not recommend using this company as long as John Brock is involved. If you do use them, we sure hope they do a COMPLETE job for you. Good luck!"

We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.

"FAULTY INSTALLATION…DANGEROUS…INJURY….AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had glass shower and tub surrounds installed in a couple of bathrooms, including the one used by my young children. The glass was installed in September or October 2022. This review may seem untimely, but please keep reading. On October 27, 2022, the glass in my children’s bathroom shattered while the bathroom was being cleaned. It cut our housekeeper’s arm. I’m also so grateful neither of my children were bathing when this happened. I called Shepard’s and told them the glass shattered, thinking they would apologize and offer some solution. Note: it had only been installed a few weeks prior. From my research, the glass should not shatter; shattering is typically in response to poor installation or pre-existing damage to the glass. Shepard’s did not even offer to come look at it to see it had been properly installed. Instead, they told me option 1: I could pay approximately $600 to have them remove the remaining glass panel (Yes...PAY $600 for them to come get the glass panel I already paid to have installed) or option 2: I could pay approximately $800 for a new panel. I told them I’d let them know what I decided. I was flabbergasted by the flippant response and the apparent greed. It took me a long time (over a year) to decide whether to have the panel replaced, or removed, as I want my children to be safe, but I like the aesthetic of the glass enclosure. In the meantime, my kids have bathed in my bathroom for a year because it was clear the remaining panel in their bathroom was not aligned on the track. . Yesterday, my husband had someone from another company come to our house to take a look at the enclosure in our kids’ bathroom. Sure enough, they informed us the panels were not installed properly, and explained the specific shortcomings. Their failure created an incredibly dangerous situation for my houseguests and family; having confirmation that the glass was not property installed infuriates me, especially in light of the response when I called to report the issue. I would not be writing this negative review but for their utter disregard to what was obviously a potentially life-threatening situation - imagine all that glass shattering into a bathtub where your child was bathing. I went to take a photo of the misaligned glass this morning after receiving confirmation that was not installed correctly; but the guy who came out yesterday stabilized it, temporarily, until he could come back and fix it. He is charging us $500 for the new panel and to fix Shepard’s failure. Unfortunately, I'm having to paying twice for a glass shower enclosure…once for Shepard’s for faulty installation, and now I have to pay someone else to fix it….but it's a small price to pay to ensure the safety of people living in, and visiting my home. Bottom line: I won’t be using Shepard’s, again, and I would encourage you to shop elsewhere if you're in the market for a shower or bath enclosure. Shepards is negligent, reckless and irresponsible."

It can take up to three days to install an egress window. The window installation team will typically spend the first two days excavating the land where the window will go. If you’re replacing an egress window, it will be spent cutting the foundational wall to accommodate the window, if needed. Often, a window inspection is required to verify that the window was sized and installed correctly.
The cost to install an egress window is $3,900 on average. This cost can be as low as $2,500 or as high as $5,300, depending on the window size, the number of egress windows installed, and the glass quality.
Double-pane windows average between $200 and $500 per window, whereas single-pane windows are more cost-effective at $100 to $400. More luxurious triple-pane windows are more expensive, ranging from $300 to $800 on average.
An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.
Not only does an egress window add value to your home, but it’s also a basement requirement in most areas. Egress windows offer a 70% return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase and installation. In addition, most building codes require an egress window to be used as an emergency exit and entrance. Therefore, it is a necessary addition to meet building codes.
There are a few ways to save money on egress window installation. First, choosing pre-fabricated windows instead of custom windows can help dramatically reduce the overall cost. In addition, skipping window extras, like customized frames or window film, can help save money on the price tag without sacrificing the window itself. You should also shop around to multiple window installers to find the best installation deal without sacrificing the quality of the window.
