All the carpet had to be removed, ducts to be insulated and wrapped, drywall needing repair, and an entire hall bathroom retire after pulling out the cabinet that was damaged. Somehow I ended up finding New Idea and called with desperation. We couldn't get the insurance company to help us and felt like we were just another claim ignored. Shannon and Mike showed up and immediately put us at ease. They handled communication with the insurance company, walked us through the repair plan, and assured us we would be get through this after two months of feeling like giving up. Shannon and Mike went above and beyond what any other contractor would have done. They treated us like family and made sure our repairs were completed correctly and in a timely manner. Some of the work is decent quality, while work performed by some of the trades/subs is only fair (borderline poor) quality. Make sure to follow-up in writing any and all verbal agreements on work scope, compensation, etc. On the plus side, he is open to making small changes to the design/build without claiming "change order". Unfortunately, the project didn't end well so the final impression is poor."
