Dryer Vent Wizard of Upstate SC

Matt was very professional and the nicest guy you will ever meet! The job was pretty straight forward (cleaning out out deyer vent) and he did did what he came to do. He was very thorough, because he found an old Sam's Club card lodged down in the lint catcher of our dryer that I've never seen, even when I have cleaned out the lint trap hole with a dryer cleaner brush!!! Thanks Matt for keeping our house from burning down!!!

My wife was complaining the clothes were taking too long to dry. Our dryer is located on the second floor in our residence. We found out the dryer vent line was disconnected somewhere between 1st and 2nd floor of my house. This vent line was over 26 feet in length. Matthew with Dryer Vent Wizard took a look and made a quick assessment that the dryer line needed to be re-run from the dryer through the ceiling into the attic and vent out through the roof. This line would only be around 9 feet in length (less length and back pressure). He was able to do the job within a couple of hours and what a difference it made with drying our clothes. I wish we had done this a few years ago. Matthew was very knowledgeable and professional.

Matthew did a great job at my home with my dryer. I was very concerned about it taking forever to dry and knew there was an issue. Knowing someone who died in a dryer fire years ago, dryer lint has always been something I have worried about. He cleaned out my dryer and replaced all the hoses under the house as they were in really bad shape. I have had contractors work on this problem before for me, and they did a very bad job assuming I would never go under the crawl space to look (which I didn't ) Matthew took before and after videos for me and I was amazed at the difference! I highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!

My dryer was heating up but still taking 2 cycles to dry clothes and was beginning to get a burning smell. I called and because Matt happened to be around the corner he came by within 5 minutes (this part was pure luck and should not be expected). He was polite, knowledgable and informative. He worked extremely fast. The piece of mind of knowing that I have reduced the chances of fire by cleaning my vent and installing a safer flex vent is invaluable. I will definitely use this company again. It's nice to know there are still honest servicemen out there.

The provider was very nice and thorough and while he could not perform the service, he is returning with another guy and they will move & install my washer/dryer to a different location and he will install the new vent at that time.

Everything was done in a very friendly and professional manner. I had the impression that he was looking out for what was best for me. Believe me, there were a lot of options to pick from as far as the placement of the system and he searched for the best fit in terms of price and performance for my particular situation. Many businesses would not go the extra mile like Dryer Vent Wizard did. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone having a dryer vent problem!

He was very neat and clean in all the work that he did. He had to replace some parts that were bent during original installation and also the outside cap.

Our 15 year old house got an upgrade - thanks to Dryer Vent Wizard. We recently purchase a new washer and dryer and we knew that the dryer vent was problematic. We called Dyer Vent Wizard and they came out promptly, found the issue, cleaned the mess from the original builder install and installed a brand new vent line that is now up to building code. They were quick, efficient, friendly and courteous. If you want the job done and done correctly, I highly recommend them!

He was great and thorough. And cleaned up the dust and debris from behind the washer/dryer! Highly recommend !! I put in a request on a Thursday and he was here the following Monday. No more worries about blockage and/or fire!

We bought a house and when I moved my stuff in, realized that there was no place for the dryer to vent. I called Matthew since his reviews on here are awesome and he came out the next day to take a look at my situation. Sure enough, there was a hole in the floor where the previous owners simply vented to the crawl space (fire hazard!) and then covered the hole with linoleum. Matthew came back out and installed a new dryer vent line for me the proper way. It was trickier than just drilling a hole to the outside since my HVAC and electrical were right there, so he vented it through the wall to my garage and up through the attic in my garage. It was a lot more involved than I thought it would be but he was courteous, professional, and right on budget for me. I never thought I'd be so happy to be doing laundry again! Thanks again Matthew for a great job!

I used the Angie's List Deal for $74 to have my dryer vent cleaned out but next time I would ask more questions because no where did this say it would be more money if the dryer was on the second floor and this ad was only that price for first floor and for a shorter dryer vent. Because my dryer is on the second floor, I had to pay an additional $49 for the vent cleaning and because the vent used from my dryer to the outside wall connection is like an accordion, it collects extra lint so was told I needed a transition connection from the dryer to the wall for $89...so the extra charge today was $138., on top of the $74. that was put thru on my Visa the other day. Now most appliance places do charge a basic charge just to come out and they will tell you there is an additional fee for parts and labor but this was not stated in this case and I did bring it to Matthew's attention and he agreed more information is needed in ad, so my complaint would be with not having all the information in the ad, that this was expensive for the hidden costs but I did pay it and he did a good job. I am just grateful to get this done finally and he did call me back, scheduled and showed up on time. He a great guy but I just wasn't expecting that extra amount of money.....at least I won't have a dryer fire and won't have to replace a house and it is less than paying a deductible on house insurance because of a fire.

Fantastic! Matthew was easy to work with on scheduling and kept in touch when delayed slightly. Explained his work and provided clear explanations and reasons for the work he was performing. Whole process was very clean. Offered self service advice for future maintenance. Matthew asked that we dry a few loads of laundry before submitting a review. It's like a new dryer--what used to take an hour or more on heavy duty is now getting done 30-45 minutes on normal settings (and keeping up with the wash cycle).

After the dryer quit drying, Westinghouse repair diagnosed the problem to be a clogged vent. I checked Angie's list and found The Dryer Vent Wizard and fortunately I purchased the $74 special. The Wizard arrived at the agreed time. After checking the dryer the Wiz confirmed that the duct was clogged and had to be cleaned. The vent flapper door was located above the window on my second story apartment. The ladder was about ten feet too short to reach the flapper. Without missing a beat the Wiz fastened together two broom handles, a garden rake and a screwdriver and was able to reach the flapper and prop it open. After hookig up his vacuum and snake brush to the inside duct he began the cleaning process. The duct is over 35 feet long before it reaches the outside wall. Unfortunately the snake did not reach the outside wall. After testing again after cleaning almost the entire duct the dryer still did not work properly. The Wiz then speculated that the duct might be off the vent and up against the wall up above the ceiling. The choice was to cut into the ceiling sheetrock. The thought of doing that was more than I could handle. I decided to think about it and perhaps get someone with a duct camera snake to check it out. After inquiring I felt the cost of the camera snake was prohibitive so I called the Wiz back and suggested he get a few more extensions for his snake brush. He agreed and called me a few weeks later when had purchased them. A week later he came out to the apartment this time with his 40 foot ladder that reached the flapper door. With his cell camera he was able to photograph into the vent and see that there was something wrong there. Back in the apartment he ran the snake brush into the duct once again. This time it went further and finally hit the outside wall but did not go through to the outside. The only thing left to do was cut a hole in the ceiling and look for the problem. The Wiz cut a 4" hole in the ceiling sheetrock and we could see that the duct had in fact come off the vent and was up against the wall preventing the dryer from venting properly. After cutting a second hole in the ceiling he was able to reach in and reattach the duct to the outside vent and fasten it on. Success at last. The dryer worked! Before installing the dryer back in place the washer hoses were replaced with stainless braided hoses. Without thinking Matt left with the 2 sheetrock circles in his bag that he had cut out of the ceiling. He was willing to meet me in Greenville a few days later and return them so I could patch the ceiling. This was a very difficult and frustrating job but Matt "The Wizard" proved that he really is the Dryer Vent Wizard. He is a very helpful and pleasant man. I signed up for his annual check up. Totally satisfied! Highly recommended.
