First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to read the responses instead of taking the reviews at face value. I do not remember this customer specifically due to the time that has past since I performed the service at her house. However looking back at the invoice, her work was a very involved vent system replacement and did cost quite a lot. The total cost of the work was $864.00 I do understand that almost $900 for a dryer vent sounds extreme, however this system was in a crawlspace and required quite a lot of time to remove the old vent system and completely replace it with a new one. It also required drilling a 4" diameter hole through the brick foundation wall, Installation of multiple hangers to support the pipe, a new vent cover, and a few other things that added to the cost. I strive for every customer to have the same great experience with Dryer Vent Wizard and I succeed most of the time. I have also reached out to this customer and have left multiple messages for the chance to understand exactly what part of the service she was not completely happy with before I wrote a response. Thank you again for taking the time to follow up on this not so great review and please give me the chance to show you how great of a service I can deliver and why so many people give us such great reviews all the time. Description of Work: Cleaned out the entire dryer vent from house to outside. He also gave us a few tips on what we could do on our own to increase efficiency of the dryer. It was great service and my dryer has never worked better! I will be calling him again in a year to keep with a yearly cleaning of the dryer vent. He was very punctual and professional.

Description of Work: What started out as a dryer vent cleaning turned into a $900 bill since our venting system wasn't "up to code" even though our house is only 10 years old. The technician was friendly but the work took hours and he left parts of the old vent laying in the yard and basement. | |Another contractor doing work on something else later at our house stated that not all of the new dryer vent work had been done correctly and that we'd been overcharged.

This work was performed in early September and I cannot remember the exact details of the job. We did perform this work on Saturday and it did start to rain before we finished so the debris left in the yard though unacceptable is understandable. We never intentionally leave debri in the yard but it was just overlooked as we were cleaning up. The customer will be refunded for the disposal of the old vent line. We have spoken to the customer and have scheduled to return and review the entire project and will address again any items that they do not believe were done correctly. We strive to always do high quality work as is evident in all the reviews we have received prior to this one. We are trained on all the latest codes and specific requirements for dryer vent installation. We will attempt to communicate to this customer why we did what we did and the reasoning behind it. We will respond again with an update if the customer gives us the opportunity.

Description of Work: My dryer vents were cleaned and a new attachment, of fire proof properties, installed. You'd be amazed at the amount of lint accumulation that is in your dryer. Matthew was very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend that everyone have their dryer vents cleaned.

Description of Work: Went fine. We had a special offer through Angie's List to pay $74.00 for dryer vent cleaning. Our vent is on the roof which costs more, he also re-did the connection from the dryer to wall, plus we had a new (proper) vent cover installed in place of one which was not a proper cover which cost an additional $464.00. Matt was professional and told us he would come out and take the cover off and replace it again when our roof gets replaced in the future so as to not let it get damaged. We are completely satisfied with the workmanship and would use Dryer Vent Wizard again.

I do remember that we did have to replace the entire vent line and even with a new installation dryer manufacturers do recommend annual inspections and/or cleanings.
