Provident Plumbing

Went well. Did all the work we asked.

First appointment was for a Wednesday. Guy was (called to advise me) and said he wouldn't be doing the work that day (I was disappointed since I had scheduled for when I was off work). Another guy came 2 days later to complete the work. He was very nice and got all the work done to my full satisfaction. The price seemed very high to me, but I haven't had any plumbing work done for a long time, so I may just not be up with current prices. I paid the electrician by the hour; the plumbers charged by the job.

Everything went fine. They came out right away after I called them. They refunded the big deal fee and we did the service through my home warranty company. We still used them but we determined that the repair would have been covered under my warranty. So they charged me the difference.

The service turned out very well. They were helpful and they came out quickly after the coupon purchase. They were very professional and they did a fine job.

Cameron was on time, easy to talk with, very thorough and knowledgeable.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out okay. It worked out great. They even came back for free and fixed the circuit box that had tripped off and would not turn back on. They used a special switch that had a light on it and I was impressed with that. They did not disturb things when they put the toilet in, which is good. They did it without moving anything.

They came at the agreed upon time. The plumber was presentable and agreeable. He understood the problem and explained what caused it and how he would repair it. He was efficient in handling the job. I will definitely use Provident Plumbing again.

Well. Service man was well able to handle tasks performed. He gave me clear instructions as to what he was about to do. Very prompt and courteous.

The technician arrived and as I explained my issues, he just agreed with my complaints without offering a single solution. He basically didn't know anything other than a weekend handyman. Didn't try any troubleshooting but just suggested I replace everything and offered me a price over $1k. He left and then salesan called back and agreed to replacing one toilet and replacing some flush valves for $550, in addition to the $119 coupon I already purchased for $200 worth of service parts. Regretfully I agreed and I still have all the same flushing issues. Anyone with basic knowledge knows the same amount as these guys.

Great. They were on time and fixed the problem.

Service provide was just as described in the deal. Estimate was given for other suggested service that I felt were a little high. Service technician was courtious and professional with the exception that he smelled of heavy cigarette smoke.

They did a good job! Would use them again in the future.

When he finished the plumbing inspection and went through the quotes he told me that the coupon could be used for full value on any of the quotes. I told him I wasn't prepared to contract for any of the work quoted and he said that was fine and called his office. After talking with his boss he told me they were going to call Angie's List and have a credit issued to the credit card I'd used. I said that would be acceptable and he left. I have never heard from them again and there was never a credit issued to my credit card!!!! Very unsatisfactory for the vendor or for Angie's List if they received the call and neglected to issue the credit!!!! Provident called shortly after I completed my review and explained that, through a clerical error on their part the refund check had been overlooked. They told me the check would be cut immediately and, true to their word, I received the check 3 days later. I appreciate that mistakes are made but their quick and efficient response to the problem has earned them my admiration and I would again consider them for plumbing repairs around my house

The plumber was very professional but wound up costing much more than anticipated and didn't finish the entire job.

I had called several places for price quotes, but used the coupon on Angies list to save $300...it was suppose to include COMPLETE installation of new equiptment & removal of the old for $699.[ pre paid for through Angies list] Well, when he arrived & looked at the old one [ aproximately 10 years old] I was told that I would have to have additional expansion tank & a gas drip leg installed to bring it up to code .... for an additional $285.00!! Had I known the complete cost, I could have had it done the DAY BEFORE by a company within 5 miles of me, ... for the same total price [ & who by the way had a higher rating] I did have a bit of a hissy fit, the gentleman was very professional & called his boss..I assume it was the owner....... they gave me a 1 year service plan at no charge & that entitled me to a 15% discount on the new parts. I took the deal becasue I needed that water heater replaced & he was there; I didn't think I could afford to wait another 48 hours, plus it had already been paid for. Live & learn. I did tell him that the ad /coupon was very misleading & bordered on fraud.. that it needed to be re-worded to let potential customers know that there 'could be' additional costs involved....

I was so impressed with Provident during my first experience that I decided to use them again for my whole house water filtration system! They had a special on it. So far I am really enjoying it! Again they were polite, prompt and professional.

The dispatcher did an excellent job of getting the service provider to our home. He actually re-routed Travis, the service manager, to my home after I called in a desperate state. There was sewage leaking under my sink and I had family coming into town. Travis arrived and to my surprise he was clean and neatly dressed in a uniform. I expected to pay a lot for my plumbing service since it was an emergency, but Travis was very understanding. He fixed my issue and answered all of my questions! I will definitely use Provident again and recommend them to everyone.

I called Provident about 10 am to ask if they would check out a slow drain at a tenant property. Chad told me he would dispatch a plumber to the property that day. About 4 pm Chad called me back, saying the plumber had sized up the problem. Chad told me the cost to fix it and I agreed to the price. Provident e-mailed me the bill and I paid it by check. Later, I checked with my tenants, who told me the drain had been cleared satisfactorily.

Professional. Everything was detailed in writing and reviewed for performance. I even got a credit based on the sink installation didn't need some parts and service time. Nice job. Good People.

Perfect from start to finish. The new toilet works beautifully.

From the time the plumber came to the time he left, he was very friendly and professional. He made a point of being certain that I understand each of his recommendations and why. He went through each of the bathrooms and checked it out. I was in another room working and not able to be watching, but I didn't feel that I needed to. He gave me recommendations to update all of the toilet tanks from the floaters to another kind. He explained the need, the potential for leakage, etc. He did not get pushy, just explained it appropriately.

On-time. Very professional. Flushed water heater and inspected it. All in good condition.

Very difficult to get the company to keep or even show up to a scheduled appointment. Once tech was here, job was done in a satisfactory manner.
