Description of Work: We purchased the big deal from Angie's List for a hot water heater drain and plumbing inspection. The technician was pleasant and prompt and drained the hot water heater over the span of about 20 minutes. When I asked him about what the draining was supposed to accomplish, he indicated that it was designed to drain and remove sediment from the hot water heater to prolong it's life. I then asked him how it drained ALL of the water since the spigot was located about 4 inches above the base of the hot water heater and he said that it didn't drain the entire hot water heater and that there was about 4 inches of water remaining in the hot water heater. I asked if that was where most of the sediment would be located and he said yes. I guess I don't understand what was accomplished if we didn't drain the entire heater and remove the problem causing sediment from the base of the hot water heater. While it was draining, we walked around the house as he inspected our other plumbing fixtures. He made some suggestions regarding toilet flappers and said overall that our house was in good shape, plumbing wise. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but at the end of the experience, I didn't feel that it was worth the $99 nor was it a big deal. I'm sure it would've cost me more money if I'd just called a regular plumber to do the job, but then again I guess I could've done it myself if all it took was hooking up a hose and draining all but the bottom 4 inches of water and sediment. It was no one's fault but my own. I should've known what the limitations of having a professional draining your hot water heater were.

Description of Work: I used Provident Plumbing because I purchased Angie's Big Deal to have 3 toilets inspected for $75.00. The gentleman was very polite and went about his work immediately. I was having trouble with a faucet in my master bathroom and water was leaking from it. I tried to tighten the faucet, but I did not have the proper equipment. I asked me to tighten the faucet and he agreed. I asked him the price and he said "Don't worry, I'll take it easy on you." When all of his work was done, I asked him for the invoice and to my surprise it was $176.00. Without my knowledge he had taken apart the entire faucet and greased it and "made it just like new." (I purchased it in 2011) since I was not feeling well and just recovering from surgery and preparing for another surgery I just paid the bill. However, I will not use Provident Plumbing again.

Description of Work: Wayne did a good job of scoping any problems and did replace the flapper which was causing one of the toilets to leak. He came back a week later and did a good job in roto rooting my drain to street. He was honest and I would use him again for any plumbing work. Fair price which is uncommon with a lot of plumbers in Greenville.

Description of Work: Provident made three trips and although they werent able to clear the severe clog in my plumbing, they stepped up and refunded every dollar I paid them when they were not able to complete the service.
