Description of Work: After purchasing this deal, it took more than two weeks to reach them by phone. When I reached them/him, the gentleman, Shawn, was very unapologenic and said their company has been shorthanded -- understood. After making the appointment with him for the following day, his bedside manner made me very uneasy. | |They did not provide what they promised. The deal advertised on Angie's List covered a certain amount of minor roof repair and an inspection. While they did inspect my roof, what was to be provided after inspection was a quote for a new roof OR a quote for some minor repairs. That has not been sent to me and that was more than a week ago.

Description of Work: I reached out several times to schedule my service and never got serviced.

Description of Work: Rep. came out to the house; walked around the property looking at the roof. He did not go up on the roof. Evidently, he did not need to do so. He recommended some repairs only. No need to replace roof yet. Said he would be in touch. About two weeks later, a couple of guys showed up unannounced to do repair work. Fortunately I was home.

Description of Work: Work was well done. NO apparent problem. Provider failed to get city permit, resulting in STOP WORK order until permit obtained. I still wonder if the representative is the entire company. Not that it matters. He was personable and performed well.

Description of Work: Yes, I paid for a roof inspection but have had no service. It was scheduled for the May 11th but my husband passed away on the 10th, and I've heard nothing from them since. I've emailed twice w/o response and called but their mailbox was full.

Description of Work: Good quality work at a fair price. Honored an Angie's list deal that made price even better. Made good suggestions for add on services and work and explained technical reasoning well. Only complaint regarding "responsiveness" was that I purchased a reasonable priced ($250.00) extended (25 year) parts and labor warranty and have yet to receive documentation from the company that I can file in case of a future need to file a claim under said warranty. Have requested the documentation for the extended warranty three times, no response yet.

Description of Work: Mr. Bullard's worker's replaced the roofing shingles on my roof and made repairs to the damaged and rotten wood. They also put in soffit vents. All in all they were extremely efficient and knowledgeable in their work. I was very pleased with what was performed and I would recommend Wando Roofing to anyone.

Description of Work: Yes, they called immediately. They even came to my home that same day and conducted the inspection & advised me of the repairs that were needed. They even came back for an additional fee to do repairs to the chimney that they said were needed. I requested photos that were taken during the repair and we agreed on a letter that I could forward to my new insurance company as proof that I had repairs done to the roof. I have yet to receive a receipt for the extra charges. I have been unable to get in contact with Wando Roofing compared to how fast they contacted me initially. I have texted/called the owner several times. To this date I have not gotten any letters or photos that I could send to the insurance company. I don't know what to do as my new ins. co. is requesting proof from me. I contacted Angie's List because of it's reputation.From now on, I will rely on the advise of people that I know personally. I feel hopeless as I may have to hire another roofer.

Description of Work: Shawn and helper came out & performed the inspection talking us thru it all the way. He found a couple of things that needed attention, the biggest being related to our inside problem which was a leak spot on the ceiling. After gauging where the leak/roof spot was, Shawn determined we needed to replace the pipe boot. He gave us an itemized repair invoice that detailed the job description & the cost. He said they would come back & do the work, putting us in the line of other jobs to be done, that we'd probably never know when they were there. We talked about whether or not we had any remaining shingles from when roof was replaced & we said yes we still had some. He indicated that when our "turn" came around, we'd get a call so we could put the shingles out for the following day's work. The very next day (Mar 10) Shawn & helper were on our roof but did not speak to us re needing any matching shingles. I don't know how long they worked that day because both my husband & I left for work/appointments. We didn't know they had evidently finished the job that day. We kept waiting to get a phone call telling us when they were coming & to set out the extra shingles. We heard nothing until the evening of April 15 when Shawn left a voice message on my cell saying he was trying to reach us. We played phone tag a bit & finally connected the next morning. It was then - on the morning of Apr 16 - that I learned the work on our roof had been completed & Shawn had been out to our house approx 10 times trying to connect with us to receive payment for the work. A simple phone call would have saved him a lot of gas back & forth, plus we would've been able to supply the necessary half a dozen matching shingles without being charged for them. Shawn was absolutely correct in telling us we'd never know they were there. Communication would've been appreciated. I left him a check according to the original invoice & he stopped by to pick it up within 15 min of the phone call. I don't plan to call this company again.

Description of Work: Went well overall. This was a gift for my son. I talked with the provider the day I purchased and gave him the contact info for my son. It did take him a few (3) to contact my son, but it was spring break/Easter and I made allowance. The process of measuring the roof, the work up of the estimate, and sitting down with my son were professional and both my son and I were very satisfied. It turned out that the size of the roof was 1000 sq.ft. more that what was allowed by the 'Big Deal' and cost overrun for the project is more than we can afford at this time.

Description of Work: service provider was very personalble and honest but the size of the roof was more than I realized so the final estimate was much higher than antisipated.

Description of Work: They professionally performed the stated inspection of the roof, responding quickly, and repaired a section that potentially would give me future problems. This including replacing a section of wood fascia that needed replacing (matching the house color so that you can not tell it was replaced. The individuals who gave this business a negative rating, without utilizing their services, gave them a unfair rating. I highly recommend this business.
