Description of Work: Tried to diagnose a leak but replaced many wrong parts and the leak remains. Completely incompetent

Description of Work: Came in the evening to check our A/C unit and was out at 8 am the next morning to install. Efficient and cleaned up. Used them for service call and they came when we lost heat the first cold snap. Very reliable.

Description of Work: Through a home warranty company, B&D came to repair central air. Another company had made 5 service visits over two summers and never successfully repaired the problem. Refrigerant is not covered under warranty and the first company charged me more than $1100 when coolant continued to leak out. B&D found the problem and replaced the entire component that was failing instead of continually spot welding as previous company did. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I just called because my heater went out and i cant figure out how to get it started. I have 4 kids in the house including my 6 month old baby. My husband is in Iraq. I don't understand what the heck I am looking at when I look at the darn heater. I called B & D Heating for help and they said that it was $99 just to show up then you have to pay for labor and service. Apparently they consider the friday after Thanksgiving a holiday even though the rest of us have to work. What a rip off. I may not know what a heat pump looks like but i know when someone is trying to take advantage of a mother with kids and no husband around to cut through the bull. I will never call them again. Btw, i called Stan the handyman and he started helping me right over the phone! Imagine that! He didn't charge me to hear his voice and showing up is FREE!

Description of Work: Made phone calls to B&D to request a bid on an AC, duct work, and attic insulation job (residential). Made arrangements to meet with representative. There was some delay in the first meeting because representative said they were very busy with a commercial job and rain had cause problems. Rescheduled meeting. Representative showed up and appeared to do a good inspection. Representative went into attic and crawl space to inspect. Representatve inspected AC units. Representative promised a written bid. Bid never arrived. Called the office to find out why no bid. Person who answered the phone told me that I was not "their customer." I asked if I called B&D and they confirmed that I did. She told me the name of my representative and gave me his cell phone number. I called him and spoke to him about the situation. He promised the bid next day. Several days later, still no bid.

Description of Work: The gentleman (the owner) is very nice and professional. The price is very fair. I strongly recommend to use B&D service. I will keep their number, also will give their number to my friends if they need A/C or heating service.

Description of Work: I called to make an appointment. They called back. Scheduled an appointment for 9am the following Friday. I waited at home for two hours. They never showed. They never called.

Description of Work: Checked upstairs central air unit. Added freon and tested.

Description of Work: A/C quit cooling. Went to Angie's List and phoned company. They were here within 1 1/2 hours. Checked A/C, added coolant everything else checked out good. Charged $129, the lowest price I have ever paid for A/C service.
