One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

Expensive for below average service. It's a $99 service call (regardless of day or time) just for them to come out. Then they have a "set price list" depending on the diagnosis. In my case, I paid $329 ($428 total) for 2 lbs of freon that cost $160 in the past. (Did I mention that is a la carte? If something else needs repair, it will be additional depending on where it lands on their handy set price list. After emphasizing that my A/C unit would soon need to be replaced, the tech pushed hard for a service contract so I could "save" 20% on the current service call. Please tell me why I would pay $200+ for a service contract on a unit that needs to be replaced or maintained by a company that does mediocre work? Needless to say, I will not be calling these guys again, no matter how desperate I am. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere unless you have $$ to blow.

Found problems within 20 minutes and had the system working 5 minutes later. Had to order one part but should be in within 2 days and final repair to be made thereafter

On the day of service (5/08/14), the technician Eric called me and said my A/C needed to be replaced. As this was a diagnostic call, I requested a written letter or email of the diagnosis and a quote for replacement. I contacted One Hour on 05/12/14 to get a message to Eric to request the diagnosis and quote again. Its been 1 week since the service call, and I still have not received either.

It went very well. I purchased coupon from Amgies list. I had to select three appointment dates One hour heating called me the day after I purchased coupon to schedule a date and time. lady making call was very friendly and professional. My appt was made for the hours between 8-10!am. The service man Paul called me the day of the appointment at around 8:30 to state he Watson his way. Paul arrived about 15 minutes after call. He was very professional and put on shoe covers before entering the house. He took some time to talk to me about any concerns or problems that I had identified. he then explained what he would be doing. After checking the unit Paul explained to me a problem that he identified which explained an concern that I had. Paul sat with me and went over the cost of repairs. The compressor on my unit wasn't running, Because the capacitor was bad. I approved the additional work. My coupon was for a tune up which Paul also did. Below is a list of things that Paul did. He was very professional while servicing both the inside and outside system.m He placed everything back as it was. I ended up purchasing one hours club membership. Paul's knowledge and professionalism had a lot to do with the reason I decided to purchase a club member ship (not included) in the price I entered above. With the membership, one hour will come to tune up my unit twice a year. I'm quite happy with my encounter with one hour heating and air and feel very comfortable recommending them to others! club tune up, check and clean system check out door condenser, found condensor not running check high voltage, found bad 35/5 capacitor, replaced capacitor installed compressor start assists wash and wax the out door unit check freon level, ok at this time Tested defrost cycle, working check indoor air handler, clean and flushed drain lines,

The One Hour team is very friendly. From the first call to the last call and everyone I spoke to in between were very helpful. I put a call in for them to check a unit our for us. They scheduled it within 24 hrs. Upon that, they gave me the options of repair vs replacement. We decided to replace. Once it was scheduled, they were in and out of our North Myrtle Beach location within 4 hours. Due to their speedy service and friendly team, we signed up our other 6 locations for their Comfort Club maintenance program.

Scheduling was a bit delayed and they arrived late for appointment. The service was fine and he looked at the heating part of the dual unit. When the technician arrived he didn’t know I purchased the deal so he wanted to charge me more. I paid extra because I was unable to talk to the office that day but the following day I spoke with the office and they reversed the payment.

1. We have parrots so there's a lot of dandruff flying around. We also have two dogs and a cat. I sat down with Anthony and he told me about a few things he would suggest for our system to include a special filter which would help cut down on the dandruff from the birds. He also alerted us to a situation that is caused by being in the Myrtle Beach area where salt air and moisture is prevalent. Everything he suggested he was very clear in letting me know they were just that, suggestions. Because I know how important maintaining a HVAC system is, I had him do the work. We moved here from Tennessee where I belonged to a monthly "club" with a local HVAC company which cut down on our costs for visits and maintenance every year. The employees with that company loved working for the company and THAT weighed in heavily for me. When employees are happy, it says volumes about a company. Anthony talked very highly about his employer. He loves his job and enjoys being employed by One Hour. For me (I used to own a business) happy employees are a sign of an employee oriented company. Typically, employee oriented also means customer oriented. 2. Anthony discovered a problem we had with our emergency heating ability. He suspected that it has never worked. We bought this house two year ago and leased it out for a year. The house was built nearly four years ago. Anthony called in the number for the emergency heating board and found out that it was four days away from no longer being warrantied. We dodged a major expense as a result of Anthony's expertise. If the problem had been discovered just five days later, it would have cost us an additional $2000.00 to fix and we wouldn't have had any means of proving the board never worked to begin with. Needless to say we are 100% happy with One Hour and especially with Anthony. We will continue using them for all our HVAC needs. I did join their monthly club.

Very well, except would have liked the price to be a little lower

Well, to begin with, I am a previous very happy customer of Air Experts. Air Experts was super. Always courteous, professional, and helpful. And good at communication. One Hour HVAC bought out Air Experts within the past few months. Unfortunately, the A rating that Air Experts had earned from me has gone by the wayside. During a recent cold snap, our unit was blowing out cold air when I awoke Saturday morning (1/25/14). I called One Hour at 8AM. I was told "we have had a lot of calls, so cannot promise a time." Fair enough, I guess, but I fully expected a status update that day evn if they were unable to make it. Well, I heard nothing for the next 12 hours. Then 24 hours went by without a word from them. Finally, at 6 PM Sunday night, after 34 hours since I first called, I get a call. The lady stated that they were ready to come and would be here in a few minutes......not an hour, but a few minutes. I declined because I was so upset with their lack of communication and professionalism. The Sunday night lady I spoke with said the person I had spoken to the previous day at 8AM had put me on stand by, not emergency, and that " they had been overwhelmed with emergency calls". She urged me to allow them to come, but I declined, stating I was seeking another more responsive vendor. She did say she would relay this information to her Manager today (Monday). #1, I do not understand why a unit blowing cold air on a morning when it is 15 degrees does not warrant a priority rating. #2, I do not understand why I did not receive a simple status update during the interim time period. Simple courtesy goes a long way. This is what upsets me the most b y far. I had seen all the great ratings for One Hour HVAC, and was, frankly, excited that Air Experts had been bought out by another apparently reputable firm. My excitement was not justified. I will be looking to another firm for my HVAC needs.

They charged me over a $100 charge for a capacitor (plug in). I checked the price on the pc & it was only $7. When I called them they asked me how much do I want back. There was no service charge due to having a contract.|I will never use them again.

installation went pretty well but when they finished. heat would only work in emergency setting on thermostat. The heat setting wworked before they replaced unit. I was told that I need thermostat book for them to fix problem...so they didn't fix it. Now tenant is concerned that she has to put heat on in emergency setting. Thermostat worked fine before the started work.

Bryan came to my home at the appointed time. He covered his shoes before entering my home. I explained several issues I had concerning my heating system before he started his work. He was very thorough in his inspection - went into the attic, checked the outside heat pump and reviewed all thermostats. He stayed for an adequate amount of time to do a good check. He answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and gave very helpful information about maintaining my system. I was so impressed by his professionalism and courtesy that I (not he) requested a regular service agreement. Air Experts is not the first h/c company I have had to service the heating and cooling system but hopefully it will be my last. Thank you for a job well done!

Mike arrived on time. Upon entering the home, he put on his booties and went to work. Upon completion of the job we reviewed the findings. He indicated that everything was in good condition. We then discussed maint. program. Since we're not here all of the time , thought it would be a good idea to have someone that you could call at a moments notice. The charge was $159.00. The cost of the service was $55.00 (after using the coupon on Angies List) Total of $209.00

Technician was prompt, courteous and worked quickly. Gave tips on how to maintain heat pump. Will definitely use this company again.

They're excellent. They were very clean, organized and on time.

Our air conditioning went out late yesterday evening. It was nearly 90 degrees in the house. We called and left a message for Air Experts to call us in the morning. They promptly called about 8 am and a technician, Mike, came right to the house. He determined that all of the freon leaked from the system. Called his project manager, Richard, to come over discuss the various options. Given the age of the unit, we decided to have the entire system replaced. Richard gave us a very reasonable price, $4995, for a 5 ton, 13 seer unit. Mike and Sean returned within an hour bringing the new unit and to begin installation. These two were great. The system was up and running by 4 pm the same day. All of the individuals in the compay with whom we dealt with were professional, courteous, meticulous and friendly. They took great care in not making a mess and cleaning up around them. I will most definitely use them again..

They could find no damage to my unit after a thorough check.. They checked the unit in my condo and thought the problem might be in the draining hose. They vacuumed out the hose and all started working well. I had an Angie's List coupon for an Air conditioning service checkup for $49.00. They did"t charge me for the extra service of clearing the drain hose. They were very professional and competent. I was extremely impressed and thankful it was nothing more and I will call them when the time comes to replace my unit.

The central air stopped working in our condo. The technician, Joe, was very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and efficient. He fixed the problem in a timely manner. We will call Air Experts again. Very satisfied.

I remember that they came over and did the review. Everything went very well. They made the appointment and they were on time. Everything was fine.

.Arrived on time--was willing to come out when I called @8pm nite before, but was my choice to wait until working hours in case there was something that was needed and unable to get until normal business hours. I can't express my thanks to Mike enough for being so prompt and honest and easy to be around. Showed a lot of knowledge for the questions that I asked and was very good about being aware of cleaning up behind himself and made very little mess at all. Easy payment and I appreciated the discount for seniors. Most of all, I'm looking forward to a cool night's sleep!

From response to request for quote to the HVAC unit up and functioning this was a great experience. Richard returned our call promptly, came to the house the next day, on time! He was very courteous, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. No hard sell just answers. After reviewing the 3 estimate we got we called Richard. Choose the middle option that he had provided. Our installation was scheduled for later the same week. The installation it self was exceptional, they were a tad early but that was great. They we in and out in less that 3 hours - amazing. Sean and team were also professional and courteous. Our house was perfect when they left, inside & out (two stage system). The unit has been running great, so quiet! I already recommended Air Experts to a neighbor and will do so again.

this company was recommended through a friend that had their unit replaced within the last six months. We were very pleased with their professionalism as well as their service and the end result is a much quieter life style with our new Carrier unit.

We purchased a new thermostat, Nest. I installed the thermostat and began having problems with the air conditioning not turning on. My wife called the Air Experts and they arrived within two hours. Air Experts found that new thermostat was defective after calling on speaking with someone from Nest. They installed old thermostat. Air Experts also provide Preventive Maintenance on our system.
