A very pleasant experience. Arrived early and even came on a Saturday to fit into my schedule. Very professional and friendly. Installation looks great and am pleased with finished product. Would definitely recommend and would hire again.

Gary was not our first pick to do the work. I got three estimates and like most I choose the lowest bidder with the least amount of construction time to complete the project. Huge mistake....within the first week the contractor could not get a permit and had to back out. This caused a two week set back to our schedule. I called Gary to see if he was still interested in doing the work. Gary was glad to do it but said he would have to scheduled other projects around to fit us in, he started 3 days later. In his bid he estimated 4-6 weeks to do the work, the work was completed in 2 weeks. Each of the subcontractors Gary brought in were professionals with the highest quality of workmanship. We had some minor issues after the project was done and Gary took care of buisness immediately. Gary conducted all business with the highest professionism and friendliest mannerisms.

We closed on our home in mid-March 2013 and I contacted Gary Stringer at that time to get an estimate for installing a door system to close off the 8 by 10 foot opening to our carolina room (sunroom for folks from other locales) and changing the doorway to our laundry room. He was very prompt in setting the appointment. He arrived at our home before our scheduled meeting time and he listened attentively to what we were trying to accomplish for transforming our carolina room and laundry room. We wanted a barn door system that would minimize the amount of space that would be required to be occupied by closing the doors. We had provided some pictures to give him a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish. He emailed his estimate and including a drawing of what he could do for the carolina room opening. We discussed the terms of work and signed a contract. Gary ordered the doors through a local millwork company. He installed the pocket door and built a valance to replace the original valance that shielded the hardware for the vertical blinds. He hunted for the best hardware fit for our doors and made sure that all supports would be much more than adequate and still look nice. When the doors were delivered to our residence by the millwork company, Gary coordinated some help for installing the rails and placing the doors. Each door weighed over 180 lbs. He had suggested a trim option for the arched opening leading to our carolina room from our great room and it has really transformed both rooms. We had newly installed hardwood flooring in our house and Gary took extra care to ensure all work areas were adequately covered. He cleaned up the worksite after he finished for the day and he worked very hard to give us what we wanted. Gary is a craftsman in every sense of the word. He knows how to make things look great and he really has an eye for a detailed, finished look.

When I called Gary about an estimate, he was over to look at things later that same day. He got back to me a couple days later with a reasonable estimate. The job was postponed once due to a rainy forecast, but still the whole process only took about three weeks from first call to finish. The door replacement took a day and a half and both days he came on time and cleaned up nicely when he was done. This is the second project Gary has done for me and if anything else comes up I'll certainly call again.

Went well from start to finish

Mr. Stringer came over quickly when I called for an estimate. The estimate was given promptly. Once I called to hire him the work was done within the month as promised. Everything turned out satisfactorily and the cost was as promised. Throughout the process Mr. Stringer was polite, friendly and professional. I plan to call him again for another project.

Everything was on schedule and on budget. We have only compliments for the job they did. Everything they did was up to code.
