Great experience with these guys. I appreciated their keen eye and identifying an issue with our electrical box. I’m sure that in due time it would have led to a fire or worse. They’re a bit more costly than others I’ve used in the past but it’s hard to put a price on being safe. Great job.

The installation went very well, but I was a bit frustrated with the negotiation for the price. It reminded me of buying a car. My salesperson had to keep checking with their manager. I donâ t like that style.

Professional and respectful. We have had our new mini-split system installed for months now, and we love it. It cools our Carolina room and keeps the whole house comfortable. The whole crew was great and came back to put in the wifi adapter that was in backorder, and left everything neat. Stacy was incredible and helped us through the whole process. I hired ARS to do a AC install/replacement and they never showed up on the installation day. After several calls and promises that they were on their way, I wasted the entire day waiting for absolutely nothing. How such a big company can be so irresponsible is beyond me. I can honestly say that I have never been so disgusted and embarrassed in believing they were a reputable company. Although this is only my experience, I can assure you that they have lost a previous customer for life.

I called ARS / Rescue Rooter at 1221 Harbour Towne Drive in Myrtle Beach in August, 2019 to check out the AC portion of my HAVAC they installed new a couple years ago. My condo was cool, and no hint of a problem inside--but the outside compressor was shutting off and on too frequently. A tech inspected the system and determined a strange difference in pressure within the system was causing a pressure safety switch to keep shutting off the compressor. Since the system will still under warranty (Carrier has a ten year warranty on the compressor) he said the parts would be free, but I would have to pay for labor. The outside power breaker switch he shut off when checking out the system would not work when he was finished--so now I had no AC. He did not return the next morning with a new switch as promised. I had to make two phone calls to ARS before a different tech arrived about 5:30 PM and spent 5 minutes to replace it. Two techs came out the next Monday with the new parts in a failed attempt to fix the problem. (does not cool my condo as good as before their service) I told them I wanted to keep all the old parts they removed. I watched them-there were only two parts, a safety switch and the electric capacitor, which they turned over to me, and confirmed they were the only two parts removed. I was going to pay for that new outside power switch, and a Blu light I had to add to the system. They were going to charge me $299. for the Blu light (available on ebay for $90, and the capacitor which I know cost about $40. They charged my credit card about $1800. No receipt available. They wanted to email it to me. I was not going to run out and buy a computer and printer, so they said they would do it the old fashion way; and mail it. Never got a complete invoice in the mail, let alone a receipt marked paid. I also never received a 3 times promised inspection from that first tech. ARS told me he no longer works there, and no copy of his report is available. What I do know is they probably saw an old man with a credit card in a hot condo who they appeared to have over a barrel--but it only appeared that way. I survived a year in Vietnam on a base in the jungle, and the people in that jungle spent that year trying to kill me. I will survive ARS Rescue Rooter. I have given this company a five star review in past years, which I have now deleted. I beg anyone who may have hired ARS based on my old review to forgive me. ARS has apparently, in my opinion, grown from the great smaller company they used to be into a money-hungry monster with such a strong appetite for cash that it apparently cannot get enough to eat. If you hire them to work for you--I feel bad for you already. I will find a new company when I return down to my condo in North Myrtle Beach. In the meantime--I have a lot of letters to write.

I had a 12 ton Rheem put in. My electric bill has gone up. I had a 12 year old builders heat pump which was more efficient. To me the Rheem is a poor excuse for a heat pump.
