Called J Stephens. On-call tech was on another call so J called Ryan who came over from out of town even though he was off. He fixed the pipe quickly, was courteous and professional and neat. All of our plumbing needs are emergencies. J Stephens has never disappointed us!

The installer was efficient, personable, and professional. We would definitely use them for any future plumbing projects.

He came on time, did what needed done and left. Very nice person and explained what and how to use the water heater.

J Stephens is just the best! They helped us with replacing two dated & malfunctioning tankless water heaters (on separate occasions) & replacing a kitchen faucet. We have had J. Stephens plumbing perform plumbing services for us 3 times so far. Each time has been excellent. Most recently, this company replaced our garbage disposal last week and installed a new dishwasher for us today. The company always calls back promptly and has arrived at our house at the time promised - great communication. Prices are reasonable - plumbing services are never cheap, but this company's prices seem fair. The plumbers who showed up to perform the work have always been professional and knowledgeable. Our new dishwasher was apparently a bit of a challenge to install (I overheard some of the conversation during installation) and also spoke with the plumbers about it after installation, but they knew exactly what to do to fix the issues. Excellent experience all around. Will continue to hire them for all our future plumbing needs. Replace disposal: $489 Install dishwasher (including picking dishwasher up from Lowe's): $298

10 days prior to closing on our house we found what we thought to be a minor garden tub leak to be a major repair. We called Jzstepen plumbing and they completely demoed the master bath, replaced sub flooring, installed new tile, standing tub, and shower with frameless glass door. They saved the day. It turned out beautiful! We were able to close on time because of them. We would use them in a heartbeat again.

I recently purchased a home in the Charleston SC area, after living in the dry desert of Phoenix AZ for 30 years. I turned to Angies List, and other on line reviews, to search for a reputable, highly rated plumber. I noted immediately the high rating that consistently was shown for J Stephens Plumbing. Jay responded to my initial telephone call within 10 minutes, and took the time to fully explain the unique (to me!) climate of SC, and construction types found in Charleston. He fully explained the project, and agreed to promptly meet me at the home, that I had literally purchased and closed on that day. Jay walked thru my new retirement home, explained in depth the requirements of the project. He also discussed the neighborhood, the history, and gave me his insight to this beautiful area. He served as a great example of the politeness that I noted of the Charleston community. I returned to my home in Phoenix, and Jay keep me fully informed of the project's status. The entire process was seamless. His communication with me should serve as an example for other contractors. Responsive, competitively priced, prompt, and personable: This is the type of contractor that I will have an ongoing relationship with as I make my move to Charleston.

Jay arrived when we planned and examined what was going on with my tankless water heater (which was about 12 years old) to determine if the problem was just a part that could be ordered, to save me money. It turned out that it needed to be replaced but I felt like Jay was very honest and very upfront! He ordered my updated model & came to install it soon after. I was very pleased with how he helped us & how genuinely nice & helpful he & his partner (Mike?) were. I was extremely pleased with their service! Very prompt call back from the owner of the company. Provided a quick appointment. Tech was on time and was in constant contact with me during the service appt. ( I do not live in town). Felt very comfortable with what I was being told. Drain was cleared and things are back to normal. Would use again!

It could not have gone better!! We had to change the original date we had scheduled and J Stephens was understanding and rescheduled without any problem. We had ordered a vanity from Wayfair, and I missed that the drain assembly for the sink was not included. Jason offered to go get the drain assembly for us, and since we would not have known exactly what to get we said yes. The vanity is now installed, looks great and the drain works!. My husband is also very pleased with the work Jason did on our lawn sprinkler which was badly damaged by the recent freezing weather we had. It also works now. The price, which included the drain assembly and quite a few parts for our lawn sprinkler was very reasonable. We will definitely call J Stephens for all our future plumbing needs.

Returned my call within 15 minutes and was out to my condo in Mt Pleasant in very short order to replace my kitchen sink faucet, at a convenient time for me. Plumber was friendly, courteous and professional. Had some unexpected struggles with rusted hardware, but brought the right tools to overcome the issues and was in and out quickly with a smile. Has earned my trust and return business for certain.

they will call you back if you call them, they fix 2 faucet on our home; if the pipe would have burst, he will be sending a repairman immediately anytime of trhe day or night, very reasonable price

Called this morning for hot water heater replacement and it is done ! Same day and on a Saturday ! Rapid response, estimate on the spot before the work. Took away the old one. Technician, Mike, was super nice, answered any and all of my questions. Worked efficiently and very neatly. No mess left. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend J. Stephens and his company for hot water tank install. Price was very fair and can't beat response time. I will call him for any other plumbing needs that may arise. Thank you !!

Fantastic! Called a couple days before Xmas, thinking I would have to wait until after the holiday. First, they called back within minutes. Second, they scheduled a service call for the same afternoon. Jason arrived (with Tommy) and quickly diagnosed the problem, and provided me the information and options to take care of it. Within a couple hours they had procured a new water heater and installed it. For sure this wasn't a complex plumbing problem, and I don't know if Jason's skills are better than any other qualified plumber (I would have no way of knowing that)--but I do know that the professionalism they brought to the task was superior as was the overall customer service experience. J. Stephens Plumbing will be my first call from now on!

When I called, I was given a time frame of 2-3pm, however they showed up at around 11:30. The problem was diagnosed quickly and he began work. The problem was resolved, and he cleaned up after himself. Even though the leak was not a great situation, they came in and made it better. I would definitely use them for any future plumbing needs!
