Description of Work: These guys do fine work. I would recommend them to anyone. The only caveat is that they are just as expensive as the dealership. I would expect with lower overhead (than a dealership), that they could cut you a deal, but they don't. Full price for parts, full price for labor...and they go by the book on how long it takes to do something, even if they can do it in half the time the book allows for it. I finally just sold my old Jeep and bought a new Camry. I doubt I'll need to use them again for several years.

Thank you for your recommendation. We at R.A.C.E. Automotive LLC pride ourselves as being the best repair facility available with fair prices and the best warranty around with the utmost in professional repair. We as well as every reputable repair facility use a guide that is industry standard in determining the correct time for a repair. That guide is updated very quarter. The guide is there to protect the consumer as well as the repair facility. Lets for instance say a particular job calls for 8 hours ( as plenty of heater core repairs call for ) and it in reality takes 10 hours ( as well as many heater core jobs take ) do you want the repair facility to charge you more than the required 8 hours? NO, no one would. Hence the Mitchell or Alldata Labor Time Guide will state in all fairness the industry standard time for repair to which all is charged. Unlike the dealerships and most every Repair Facility on all three of your invoices Diagnosis Time is not charged.On one invoice there is a free repair on the vehicles vents as well. Not to mention we give a detailed and extremely accurate repair estimate prior to repair. Now, as for the part pricing we never charge list and all part numbers are listed as well.For instance,on part #704844 list is $103.02 you were charged $65.59, #AC1 list is $36.88 you were charged $29.99, #3082 list $258.99 you were charged $186.56, #232691 list is $158.58 you were charged #133.92, #K060882 list is $70.49 you were charged $47.24, #3459 list is $5.19 you were charged $4.13, #579204list is $64.58 you were charged $51.98. If you look on your invoice #14043 top middle the Ref# is what you were quoted for the repair and agreed to. The authorized amount for repair was $702.39, your actual invoice was $611.07. That is $91.32 BELOW the authorized amount. Invoice #14066 you authorized $571.99 your invoice amount was $488.87. That's $83.12 BELOW the authorized amount. So, in closing I hope that this will bring light to the issue that you thought that you had and now can see that you as well as all of our customers are most important to us and we will give everyone as much as possible to make there experience with R.A.C.E. Automotive LLC as pleasant as possible and we greatly appreciate each and every customer. Thank You.

Description of Work: Honesty. Competence. Customer care. Fair price. I have finally found an automotive repair shop that embodies all these traits. Race automotive performed extensive work on my Grand Cherokee and it runs like new. I would unequivocally recommend this business to anyone I know. So far so good.
Description of Work: The vehicle was towed to the shop. I informed the owner that I thought the fuel pump was bad. The owner confirmed that the fuel pump was bad and advised me to replace the bad fuel pump with a GM unit because his experience had been that 3rd party fuel pumps on this model vehicle had a history of failure. The owner informed me that the total price would be in excess of $600.00. I could not afford that amount of money so I decided to fix the vehicle myself. Having provided me with confirmation that the fuel pump was bad, I felt comfortable in undertaking the job myself, knowing I would not be doing work that was unnecessary. I rebuilt the fuel pump assembly, using a third party fuel pump motor, which cost me $63.00. The owner charged for towing and one hour labor, a total of $135.00, which was a fair price for his efforts. I later investigated the $600.00 estimate and found that price to be the going rate for the fuel pump/sending unit replacement. I can believe it too because I know how much labor I invested doing the job myself. I hope that the owner is not right about those third party units.
