Description of Work: The closet Factory installed cabinets in my laundry room. Frankly, they transformed this space! The cabinets are of the highest quality, were professionally installed, and they are functioning well after two years of use. I anticipate they will continue to provide many years of service. AND, they are beautiful! I am 100% satisfied and would use this company again.

Very pleased with the finished results. They matched up my hardware (closet rods, baskets, tie rack, etc.) to the oil rubbed bronze fixtures in the rest of my home. The installation was about a three hour job. The installer removed the wire shelving that is standard in new home purchases (in this community) and filled the screw holes. And then installed the closet shelving - really nice. I was going to pay for furniture to store most of it any way why not invest in a designed closet. I gave them a 'B' in price; only because I was moving into a new home and those costs hit me all at once. This was WELL WORTH the investment.
Description of Work: They came into my master bedroom closet and designed a functional but stylish (in decor) space for my clothes, shoes, handbags, even space for my sheets and towels, etc.

Bill Reid and his team were very good from the beginning till installation was done. They were very professional and their work was outstanding. If I move, I will be sure to hire them again to remove my units into my new home. Great experience.
Both the appointments for the estimate and the installation were on time. Both gentlemen were excellent and the result is what I was looking for.

The rep. setup an appointment with me at my home. He came in and first discussed the company and their product. He ask me what I wanted and then measured my closet. During that same visit he provided me a design with a cost proposal. After receiving two other proposals I decided to select The Closet Factory, although it was the most expensive. The work was done in a timely matter and they were very professional. The installaion was scheduled within a week of signing the contract, and it took about four hours to install the closet. I would use their service again.
Description of Work: I was very pleased with the entire experience with this company. They installed a customize closet in my master bedroom.

I really enjoyed working with Closet Factory. I had used another closet company for my husband’s closet, and I wasn’t very happy with that previous company. The previous company didn’t have any ideas whatsoever and it seemed like I could’ve come up with the same thing. When I called Closet Factory, Bill came out on time with great ideas. I liked the finish, the installer, and Bill’s creative ideas. The installer was also extremely professional. I was very happy with the outcome and I would definitely call him again.
Description of Work: Closet Factory remodeled my closet. I called them because I was looking for a company that could offer me several design options for the space I had. I explained to him that I wanted to fit as many clothes and shoes as I could in the closet. Bill was able to figure out how to do that with the space that I have.

The experience went well. Their price was fair and they did a very good job. The technicians were on time and did exactly what they said they would do. They even installed handles that matched with the fixtures that I already have in my home. I had no problems with them whatsoever and I’ll definitely use their services again!

The experience was excellent overall. They did a good job at a fair, competitive price. They?re a local company, which is important to me. They completed the work in one day. I had no problems. I would call them first if I had another project like this one.

The installers came 2 weeks later and I was immediately struck with the lack of skill with which they approached the job. They cut into my baseboard to install a file cabinet, and then found they needed to move the cabinet 1/2" to the right. They were about to attach the modesty panel to the penninsula, and I asked what they were planning to do to cover the 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the panel and the floor. They decided they'd better lower it to the floor, and needed to cut off 1/2 in from each of the under desk shelving units along the back wall. The doors for the built ins had to be taken back to the shop to be recut as they were too wide to install properly. The Formica top did not quite fit, and I recognize that a built in U-Shape will have a few issues, but was a bit surprised at how much time they spent trying to hammer the seam before deciding they needed to recut it. There is still a slight unevenness, but I realize this is the best they will do. The desk top units were set in place and I was shocked that none of the units had backs. They looked slapped onto the surface. Like the makeshift way I had placed closet organization units ($13 each from the hardware store) on my old desk 6 months ago to test the functionality. I called the owner, Lance, and stated that I had expected backs, since the brochure showed them and figured that at the price quoted they would have been included. He actually said that he thought I wouldn't care, because that's the way I had it before. He agreed to order the materials for them and recut the shelves. Because of the hassle factor, I would forego them on the bottom units. They were to return the next day, Saturday, to install the recut doors. After they left, I looked at the long desktop unit, and saw that the top shelf was screwed to the shelves, with a 1 inch gap at the wall edge on one end. In other words it was on way crooked. When the door man came back, I asked him what they were planning to do about it, and he actually had a reason, that involved a bad cut, why they had done it that way. If I wanted, (?) they would get another top. A third trip to bring the top. 2 weeks later, I called to ask about the shelving unit backs, and apparently the installer had been driving around with them for days, and just hadn't made it over this way. When he came, they had to be recut to fit in the back of the units, but he had no tools with him and would need to COME BACK. Except for the one I glued in, the unit backs are simply sitting behind the shelves. Some of the laminate edges look to have been cut with a dull blade, and glue still clings to many of the drawers and shelves where the facing was installed. If I had paid 1/2 the price, I'd probably figure it was what I paid for. I'll get over it. I love the desk. It is perfect in functionality and general appearence. Just don't look TOO close. ****Update as of September 2012: They are under new ownership. When they saw this negative review, the new owner reached out to me about re-doing the work. It was unbelievable! Even if I decide not to dismantle my office to let them redo the desk, just the fact that they came out to see me says a lot about who this company is under their new managment.
Description of Work: I wanted a built in desk in part of my FROG. Lance came out, measured and drew up the plans, making very good suggestions and listening to my needs. He was very friendly, personable and prompt. He provided me with brochures which led me to be very impressed with the product. The price estimate, with matching doors on my built in cupboards was $3,800. I felt this was high, but that there was a lot of work to be done, and frankly I just wanted it done.

Response from Closet Factory
I purchased the Closet Factory in 2011 and the installers that handled this job are no longer with our company so it is difficult for me to respond to this installation which took place in 2009. As the new owner, I can say that we pride ourselves in our work and every attempt is made to please each and every client. I am a "hands on" owner and I personally call every client after the installation to make sure the customer is happy with our product, it's functionality and the service they received at installation. We also provide a lifetime warranty on everything we sell. Bill Reid President Closet Factory of South Carolina Bill.Reid@ClosetFactory.com W- 803-794-9414 TF - 800-445-1399
