Don't use these idiots, no care for customer satisfaction and no business ethics.
Description of Work: I asked for a quote on a simple roof repair. I was told someone would be by and they would contact me once they had prepared a quote. After a week I called back in and they said someone would be by later in the week. I called that Friday because I hadn't heard anything, "someone will be by early next week." I called the following wek asking for the quote, nothing. So I asked for a specific date someone would be by, making it clear that my homeowners insurance required I had the repair done within a month and they had already wasted two weeks. They guarenteed me the work could be done in time and I would have an estimate by early this week. I just called in, "we are busy and can't get someone there until the end of the week." They never did a single thing for me other than lie to me over the phone. In terms of professionalism, on par with a slumlord.

I found them on Angie’s List where they had excellent reviews but they did a horrible job for me. I haven’t been really pleased with them and they failed me miserably. They did very well with the estimate and keeping in touch with me but when the time came to actually come out, I had some issues with what they quoted as a price as opposed to what my insurance company quoted me as a price. When I asked the two of them to meet together to sort out the issue the gentleman who they sent out could not even speak two or three words. He could not even get on the roof to do the inspection and almost fell of the roof since he had terrible shoes. To begin with he was forty five minutes late and when I went out and spoke to him all he could say was that his name was John. He had shoes on that were falling apart even though my roof was a high roof. When I called and expressed my displeasure they did not even bother to return my phone call. As a result I did not go forward with them. Their pricing was a little higher than another person who I had checked with. Initially their responsiveness was good but at the end it was bad as they never followed through. They had my business right up to this but they said I had hail and wind damage whereas my insurance adjuster said I had only wind damage which is why I asked for a meeting to explain what was going on. Since they could not explain to the insurance adjuster why there was hail damage the conversation ended there. I could not believe this and was in shock because they were initially so good about following through. Initially I believed them rather than the insurance company since they showed themselves to be very professional. They made me look like an idiot and I would not recommend or use them again in the future.

We deeply apologize for any inconvience we may have caused you. However after meeting with your Insurance Company on two different occasions and Mr. Williams speaking with your agent on more than one occasion via phone, it is with sincere regret that we could not convince your Insurance adjusters that the damage that your roof had incured that were covered under your current insuance policy, thus all repaires must be absorbed by you as a customer. We do apologize our efforts were rendered fruitless. Have a great day and God bless.

A gentleman by the name of Robert called us and set up an appointment. He recommended what would be the correct type of shingles, which he was correct about. They installed the roof and I was concerned about a gap in a valley that I noticed. They told me it was nothing to be concerned about and when we had some hot days it would lay down. I went up on the roof to spray paint the flue pipe on the furnace, and I noticed about 15 exposed nails where they had gone above the shingle to nail it in. I had already previously called Robert and Donna for the warranty papers on the roof, but after noticing the exposed nails I decided to call Donna and bring it to her attention. She said the earliest someone could come out was Thursday. No one showed up Thursday or Friday. I emailed the owner, Chris Williams, and he got back with me saying he would take care of it starting Monday morning and he apologized for any inconvenience. Larry the roofer came out on Monday and siliconed the ends and made the repairs by removing the nails where they shouldn't have been. He put a new piece of the shingles underneath the top shingle and siliconed it to seal it. Chris Williams called me that night to check on the work, and I told him we were pleased. He informed me if I had any other problems that I had his cell phone number. Once the owner was contacted everything was resolved within 24 hours and our roof looks great. We would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

Our roof had lost a couple of shingles over the years and was looking bad in places. Since it was 16 years old, we decided to replace it. I called Williams Roofing who set up and appointment. Chris William came out and carefully examined our roof. He also showed me where some of our screens were damaged and stated that he could repair those also. Mr. Williams told me then approximately how much it would cost and informed me that my homeowner's insurance would pay for a good portion of the repair. He offered to meet the claims adjuster here so they could look at it together and come to an agreement on the condition. Mr. Williams dealt directly with the adjuster, which saved me time. These two were on the same page and everything went so smoothly. Mr. Williams came out at night to go over the shingle colors offered and help us decide. He did not rush us and was very helpful in our selection. Mr. Williams was professional, down to earth, and friendly. His crew did a great job and left the grounds very clean. They used a machine to pick up nails. The work was done in one day. I would definitely recommend Williams Roofing and would certainly use them if I ever need another roof. Professionalism, fair price, great job including cleanup. And the way they worked with my insurance company topped all of this off perfectly. Lots of companies talk a good game. Williams Roofing did exactly what they said they would do and were friendly and easy to talk with throughout the process. They also took extra care to move deck furniture and other items out of the way so they would not get damaged. My wife and I could not be more pleased. They were on-time for appointments and got the work done within the time they stated.
Description of Work: Our roof needed replacing. I called Williams and scheduled an appointment. Mr. Williams came out, was on time, and without my asking, volunteered to work with my insurance company adjuster. He did this and then met with us. Because of his efforts, we had very little to do. His crew replaced our roof and also repaired some screens that also had hail damage. His crew completed the work in one day and did a great job. They left the place clean also. We wife and I own a rental house in Aiken. We got a call from the tenant to tell us there was wind damage to the roof. I went by to look and sure enough there were asbestos tiles all over the yard -- 35 of them. I trotted back home and looked up roofing contractors on Angie's List. I got a couple of quotes from very nice estimators and seemingly competent companies. I met with the estimator for Williams Roofing at the house. He asked if I would be filing an insurance claim since the problem was wind and hail damage. I hadn't even thought about insurance! After checking with my carrier I found out that I was indeed covered. I only had to pay my deductible. The insurance company sent out an adjuster who came up with a slightly lower price than I had been quoted. The folks at Williams Roofing agreed to do the job for the lower quote. Huzzah! Not only that, but they used a superior architectural shingle which looks way better than a 3 tab shingle and has a better guarantee. The work was completed in one day. The team was pleasant and professional. They cleaned up well including using a magnet to clean up all the nails. I feel I got an excellent job for a great price. The price would have been good even if the insurance hadn't picked up most of it. The company was easy to work with and I have no gripes at all. Bottom line: Williams Roofing gets my five star rating.

Based upon reviews in Angie's list, I called this company for an estimate. Individual came, determined the roof was too wet to closely inspect. We agreed he would return within 1-2 weeks, complete an estimate and leave for me. Never heard from him again. Also called Lovelace, they showed up, came back the next week as promised to complete estimate, got the job and were terrific. Highly recommend Lovelace and would never call Williams again.

tI called Williams Roofing, and they had Robert call to set up an appointment. Robert responded promptly and we set up an appointment for him to give an estimate. He kept our appointment, and gave me an estimate for a new roof, gutters and siding for soffets and fascia. He promised the roof would be replaced within a week depending on shingle availability. I requested replacement of attic exhaust fan with passive roofline exhaust and he made the changes. He made recommendations on shingles based on house design, and then quickly came up with an estimate. I accepted the offer. I got home from work the next day to find most of my roof replaced, and roofing completed, cleaned up and looking good the following evening. The soffets and fascia were performed the next weeh by a different work crew. All of the work was completed promptly, and my neighbors have complimented me on how much better the house looks. Everything was cleaned up and the siding crew leader asked if I wanted him to replace a hook and pulley for my bird feeder. Robert did come back with a slight upward adjustment in the cost because they founf a second layer of shingles that had to be disposed of, but this seemed a reasonable change to me. Overall, I am well pleased with my experience with Williams Roofing. The estimate seemed reasonable. The was promptly and well performed, and the cleanup complete. My interface with the employess was friendly and professional.
Description of Work: Replaced roof, removed attic exhaust fan and replaced with passive roofline vent. Repaired soffets and fascia and replaced the siding on them. Replaced gutters.

We looked at Angie's List to see about local roofers and got estimates from several. Williams had the best quote by far and Robert Hardy was a great representative. He was straightforward in his explanation of what would be done and understood our need for the new vent. We agreed on a date and after that it was smooth sailing. The crew arrived about 7:45 am and had the old roof off in amazing time. By working in a large crew, everyone has a job and things go very well. Before 1 pm the new roof, with ridge vent and the requested vent were done and the guys gone along with all the mess. We were very impressed and would use them again.
Description of Work: We had hail damage to our roof. The old roof was taken off, all vent holes patched plus a few bad spots on the plywood. We needed a new vent for a new gas cook top and they were very helpful with that. They put the felt, roof, and ridge vent in and were done in about 5 hours. They cleaned up very well and did an outstanding job.

I contacted Williams Roofing for an estimate on replacing my roof. They inspected the roof and found hail damage, which was unexpected. They suggested I contact my homeowners insurance company and report the hail damage. Nationwide confirmed that I did have hail damage and paid for nearly the entire roof. I was only responsible for my deductible and the cost of the upgraded shingles. Approximately 10 days after the initial estimate, Williams replaced the roof. They were quick, did a great job and cleaned up all the old shingles and nails from the yard. I highly recommend Williams Roofing.

What an excellent experience from start to finish! From Donna who so courteously answered the phone at Williams Roofing and scheduled our appointments, to Mark of the sales staff, to the entire installation crew -- a thoroughly well executed and professional job. Everyone at Williams Roofing was dedicated to exceeding our expectations: Mark came out promptly, thoroughly inspected our roof and gave a written, itemized estimate for the roof replacement. He was able to answer all of our questions and suggested just the right product for this area. The installation crew showed up promptly and got right to work, stripping off the old roof entirely, carefully putting down the underlayment and the shingles we selected. Believe it or not, they actually appeared to be happy doing the job! They were clean, careful and the jobsite was spotless when they finished. We recommend this company very highly and without reservation.
Description of Work: We had the entire roof of our 2,400 square foot ranch home stripped and replaced with new sheathing and architectural shingles. Williams Roofing also applied new flashing around all the vents and chimneys and replaced one of our two power roof vents. Because of the excellent work ethic and professionalism displayed by this entire company, we are also getting an estimate and samples of gutter guards from Williams Roofing.

Everything went great! My house had the original metal roof on it - built in 1960 - and we were past due for a new roof. Initially, the thought was to go with shingles, but after examining the roof structure, it was determined that going back with metal would actually be cheaper on my wallet. Robert came out and did a very thorough estimate. Approximately two weeks after that, I had three very polite fellows who pulled off my old roof and replaced it with a fantastic-looking new roof. They also used great products, nothing cut-rate about them. The guys showed up bright and early, about 7:30 am on a Monday and they were done by that Saturday. (BTW, 7:30 is start time every day, including Saturday.) We did have a day of rain that totally stopped everything, otherwise I'm sure they would've been done by Friday, possibly Thursday. Then they came back and cleaned up all their mess. Wow. Just what I wanted. Oh, and the topper? They came in under estimate. What more could you want?

Actually I liked timeliness. They came out - they said it was going to be a couple of weeks. But they actually came out and did the roof within two days. They were out there and they just did it all in one day, which was great and they contracted out the other stuff that they were not able to do. At least most of the other stuff that they were not able to do themselves.

many There were two technicians that worked very hard almost non-stop from 7-am to 7pm except for a one-hour lunch break. They had a very efficient process. Neither technician asked to use the bath room, nor asked for food or water. They brought their own food and water, and used restrooms facilities off-site during their lunch break. I could hear the number of nails they placed into each shingle from inside the house, which was eight to ten nails per shingle. Over-all I am very pleased with the work performed by their company. Payment was only accepted after all work was completed, and the final inspection/walk-through, was performed by one of their reps. No down payment was required. I did have a few questions during the process, and a supervisor was onsite in short order to look at, and answer my concerns. This is the best experience I've had with any contractor on my house, and I highly recommend them. With an estimate that was $1500 cheaper than the other guy's, and a new roof that is straight and looks great, it is difficult to come up with any cons. The only word of caution I have is if you ask for ridgeline vents, you will get some wood pieces that fall into your attic from where they have to cut a vent line on the very ridge of the house. I would have laid a tarp inside the attic to catch those bits if I had thought of it, especially since I have blown-in insulation. Otherwise, for the price, and quality of work, you cannot go wrong with Williams Roofing. Afterthought: We have a wood-framed box chimney with cricket, and it looks like they did a great job in working around that area. My neighbor, who has worked in construction many years, and currently works as an inspector, gave me my pre-estimate advice, and post contract assessment.. He said they did a great job. Big smile =)
Description of Work: Robert from Williams Roofing provided free estimate, which beat out the other companies' estimates, and even helped picking out a color of tile. On the two work days, they removed and disposed of the old roof, including felt paper, and shingles. The two technicians also installed new felt paper, 20 ft of flashing, 3 boots for pipes, and 30-yr architectural shingles IAW GAF standards (using 8 to 10 nails per shingle). They also replaced a 4x8 sheet of OSB, as well as plugged 6 holes where the old vents use to be. Note: it is important to have those old vent holes filled so the shingles don't "float" over the hole. Finally, they installed 72 feet of ridge vent. Clean-up consisted of removing all discarded materials from site, sweeping, and running a magnet sweep over the yard around the house to pick up fallen nails. Tarps were laid down before and during the process around the house.
