Williams Roofing & Gutter

I had roof damage from the great ice storm of 2014 in Augusta; ended up with a hole in my roof from a fallen branch. Someone in the office took my call and was professional. Said they would pass the info along to a person that would call about giving me an estimate. Never heard back from anyone in the company. Took it they were to busy doing roof-the-whole-house jobs and didn't care about a repair.

We had hail damage on our roof and called several companies we had seen on Angie's List to get quotes. Williams was by far the best quote. Also, Robert Hardy, the representative who came out and looked at things was a very nice man and helped us with the insurance end of things. The job was done a week later, starting at 7:45 am and done by 12:30 pm!! That included taking the old roof off, patching a few places and replacing the felt and roof and installing a ridge vent. Also they cut a new vent for our new gas cook top for us and they worked with my husband to get it in the exact right place. The large crew kept at it and got the job done quickly and with professionalism. We would use them again. There were no surprises and it was a smooth job all the way around.

The workers showed up at the time specified. They worked hard all day and only took one small lunch break. They started around 8:00 a.m. and finished at 6:00 p.m. While they work was in progress they keep all of the trash picked up from the yard. At the end of the job they went over the yard with a magnet to be sure they had picked up all of the nails. They returned the following morning to check the yard again to be sure there was nothing left.

It went very well and we are very happy with the finished work.

29 days elapsed from the first call to actual repair being performed. Their front office seems be total chaos. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. 16 Sep I called WRC to get an estimate for the repair and an est for a complete roof replacement. Got the est that day and gave the ok to proceed. I would be contacted for schedule to perform. 3 Oct I called WRC since I had not heard anything. The person I needed to talk to was out of the office but would return my call. 7 Oct I called again. 11 Oct WRC called and wanted to do an estimate for the repair. I told them to look up the existing estimate and get the job done. 15 Oct, crew showed up to do the repair which took about two hours. I probably won't use them for the new roof. Their price is VERY high.

They Did a great Job quick. They cleaned up and even cleaned my gutters. Great Job.

But, never heard back from them regarding the proposed repair; called twice to get an estimate and then went with a different company as they didn't seem interested in doing the job. Never did get an estimate.

I am late writing this so I don't remember all the details, but they went to the house and called me with the estimate, then a very professional young woman met me there with pictures to choose a color. The work was done on time and I have had no problems with the roof.The above date is approximate.

Mr. Williams cam to give an estimate promptly. He also sent someone to help me decide on the color of the shingles. The work was done completely in a day and a half. My neighbor had a roof replaced at the same time by another company and it took them a week to finish. Great service and great price.

Our roof had hail damage and so we asked Williams roofing to come out and do an estimate. Their estimate seemed quite reasonable (compared to some others we had received), and the quality still seemed high, so we went with them. They originally promised a "one day" replacement process, bringing out enough crew members early enough in the day to finish everything. Even when the color of shingle we requested turned out to be out of stock locally, which delayed the start of the job, the company still were quite confident of a one-day fix. Unusually, even though the materials were delivered from Columbia, SC at 11 AM, the workers didn't show up until after 12:30. This late start meant that the job ran into the next day, which cost me an additional day off of work and an additional day of noise inside the house. There was an issue with getting the warranty paperwork (it wasn't exchanged at the time of payment, which I felt unusual), but the home office quickly sent the paperwork through the mail. Unfortunately, they did not apply the "Senior Discount" to the bill, which they advertise. The property belongs to my mother, she's the one who greeted the workers when they arrived and told them they could start, and she's the one who paid for the job. However, even after repeated phone calls and emails to the company as well as to owner, we haven't heard a word on this. My guess at this point (based on their lack of responsiveness) is that they don't plan to apply the Senior Discount after all (for some reason), which is unfortunate. The price was excellent, as was the quality of the work. Responsiveness to my above inquiry and punctuality the day of the job hurt somewhat, but everyone that I have talked to has nevertheless been very polite, and my mother loves her new roof. So, the overall grade is an A. Thanks Mr. Williams!

I decided to get a replacement roof due to years of wear and tear . I placed an estimate with Mr. Williams office and they came out and gave me a detailed report . I was pleased with the timely manner of contact and the gentlemen who came out . I was treated kindly and fairly . The work was done in a matter of time . I haven't had any problem and would refer any one to Williams .

I called Williams Roofing to get an estimate on how much it would cost to get a metal roof over my front porch. The estimator came out and gave me an estimate which wasn't bad at all. I went ahead and signed the contract and within the next week they had started the job. I absolutely love my porch roof!! Williams done a fantastic job! The workers were so friendly and made sure the job was clean every step of the way! I would recommend Williams to anyone that wants a honest and hardworking roofing company! They backed their word 100% and I am so thankful for their honesty!!

We called a few days later to tell them to go ahead with the work. A couple days later ( Dec 31)a lade called and said that someone would call and schedule the repair the next day. Today is January 20, and we have not heard any more. How would you rate this?

Did not show up on time. Was over an hour late and did not call to say they would be late.

Work done quickly, reliably, good estimate price 5 years later roof is still in good condition would recommend to a friend

I love the skylight. It was excellent service. They came in and went to work, in and out. I was very impressed with the work and professionalism. Good people, excellent job. I would call them again.

Very well, inpressed with workers they left no mess and very courteous & all american crew oh yes !! impressed w/quality & expected to be waiting 2 wks but it was only 1 wk they are so in demand their workload is backed up after they completed the roof the gutter was installed the next day Job complete..... recommend them A+

They were the only ones I actually followed up. He actually called me later on to see what else he was going to do and what decision I made. He actually climbed up on that roof and actually measured it. That was 3 stories up, about 80 feet. He didn't have the time to do it the first time he came out and then he came back later on. It actually took him some time to get it done. I made this roof so I knew what I was looking at and he's the closest one to where it was. I didn't end to get the service because the insurance coverage was pushing. I think I was not ready to do a roof that sounded like it didn't really need it. The other contract he gave me was about $2,000 more but they have the crew and the ability to get the job done within 2 days. The guy was on time for the estimate.

Williams Roofing was rude and came off as standoffish. Was upset because I was wanting an estimate and not wanting the job right then. Was upset that I asked for references. Wanted me to trust his word that his company was number one. Didn't get the opportunity to ask the questions that I wanted to ask.

My metal roof leaked due to the improperly installed roof mounted attic fan. I could not get my roofing contractor to respond with even an estimate. When I called Williams Roofing they had me an estimate within a couple days. The work kept getting delayed due to all the rain we were having, but as soon as there was a clear day the crew came out and completed the repairs promptly and professionally! I will definitely use Williams Roofing for all my future roofing needs!
