Then... Window World was founded in 1995 by Leon Whitworth. The office was a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It didn’t look like much but, Leon had big plans for this company. He wasn’t going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He wasn’t going to do things like they had always been done. A slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his price at $1,000 or even $1,200 per window, creates bogus discounts, and tries to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. The other end of the spectrum is the guy who has cheap prices along with an inferior product that won’t last very long. Leon knew to be successful he couldn’t do any of these things. The Window World way would be simple, provide superior products, installed by professional craftsmen, with guaranteed low prices, simply the best for less. What more could anyone want? Window World partnered itself with the best window manufacturers in the world. They use state of the art equipment and only the best materials available. Now... That small roadside stand has now grown into more than 240 Window World offices in 45 states, and is still growing. We are now one of the largest home improvement companies in America. Each location is locally owned and operated. This insures each customer that his or her project gets the individual attention it deserves. Our owners and their personnel receive in depth training on a monthly basis to keep them on the leading edge of the industry. Description of Work: Replaced and installed windows. They ordered the windows in November 2013 and received them around January 2014. Once we set up a time frame for them to install it took only 1 day for 23 windows.

Description of Work: I kept getting pushed off on the installation schedule and my salesman would not call me back after repeated requests. They installed the day before I was heading out of the country for 10 days and I was not able to get by and review installation quality. While I was out of the country, I was asked by the administrative person to pay the balance and I asked her to hold off on charging me until I was able to review the installation. They went ahead and took the second payment while I was out of the country. Professionalism, communication and punctually was very poor.

Description of Work: Replaced 7 windows, 6 standard and 1 bow window. All went smoothly except the bow window, 1 of the glass sections had the wrong E-glass. The section was replaced in a timely manner and the job completed to my satisfaction. The company should have caught this before installation not me finding it afterwards. That said, yes I would use them again.

Outstanding!
Description of Work: I called Window World to get an estimate to replace a dozen windows because they had what appeared to be discolored and fading E-glass. The rep informed me that the windows were OK and didn't need replacing and referred me to a glass company to have the seals replaced at a much lower cost. I was prepared to replace the windows and was blown away by the honesty and integrity which I should note is probably the reason the company has the endorsement of Dave Ramsey.
