I contacted them through Angies"s List and within 24 hours one of their representatives called and set up a time to give us an estimate. He was here on the day we agreed to meet for an estimate. It was the week before Christmas and he told us it would be after the Holidays. We knew we had to wait our turn for service and unfortunately we had a very rainy spell. They started the replacement on a Friday and finished on Saturday. The crew was very polite and did an excellent job. We had rotten plywood which we knew and they replaced the boards. We had rain the night after they finished and I was so happy to go to the room and there was no puddles. They have a person that comes back to inspect the job to make sure it was done probably. Tri County Roofing charged exactly as the contract was written. I absolutely would use them again.
We used Angie's List for the contractor because we are moving here and did not know which one to use and they have very good rating and more reviews than other contractors and they have been in business for quite a few years.
I am satisfied.
Update, third visit!: The work done the second time turned out to be of poor quality! A couple weeks later, with the next big rain, the roof leaked again. Another Tri-County employee came out, inspected the same area around my chimney as before, and said that he didn't know how the previous workman had failed to see it, but there was a major gap funneling water right down my chimney onto my ceiling. He said he sealed it up, but that I should think about installing new materials up there. I told him I would like to get a written estimate of what that would cost. He said he would report back to his office at Tri-County Roofing and they would be in touch. That was the last I heard from them. My roof does not leak now, but after three visits and poor follow-through, I would not use them again.
"[Member Name Removed]. I can honestly say I am totally confused on this review. I am the one you dealt with daily from day 1 to day 3 and you were happy and paid. But to be fair to the readers let's explain the three days. DAY ONE: you called with a tree on your roof from the ice storm and needed a temporary repair which was performed that day. DAY TWO: I informed you that the roof was in bad shape and repair wasn't going to be permanent and I informed you to call your insurance company. You said that you just wanted the roof done and you wanted it done ASAP. So after signing with me right then you asked when we could start stressing again the ASAP. To my amazement the office said they could start the next day. DAY THREE: the work was done and completed. So in all honesty that's a pretty amazing timeline, and I'd say one heck of customer service. So my question is what has happened between March 25th and today..... I'm absolutely astonished on what I just read. I would really like for you to call me directly at 843-343-9373 and let's figure this out. I have never been so confused on a review. The three days were from initial phone call to completion of project and no communication blows my mind when you dealt with me and told me ASAP and I told you the next day and you even paid me that next day and were happy. I'm really not quite sure at what I just read and being that I handled it personally there is no one else for me to ask but you. Please call me and let me know if this was a hack, a joke or a drunken stupor....but we take these reviews serious and I have no clue what your upset about. Very rarely does anything happen as fast as yours did. WOW.... I'm so astonished by this........."
I am very pleased with all of the roofs I have had put on by Tri-County. I have had them do two window jobs for me not too, and I have been very happy with those as well. Most of my roof jobs take one day, and the crews get in, do the work, clean up, and get out.
Responsiveness is not a problem for me, but communication while on the job has been an issue a couple of times since these are rentals and I am not on the job the entire time. One house this summer had to have some decking replaced, and the first time I knew about it was when I got the bill. That should not happen. However, once the problem is brought to light, it is taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction! I believe they care about customer satisfaction.
I find Tri-County to be honest, professional, and fair, and obviously believe in their product and people as I have used them many times, and have another roof on the books as I type!
Angie's list helped tremendously with $400 coupon on this site.
Had a couple of small issues that arose after job completion. Contacted company and was able to meet one on one with supervisor. All problems were noted and resolved in a timely manner. Thanks!
