Excellent communication from the time I requested an estimate to completion of the service. Explained in detail what they would be doing and when it would be done. Workers started at dawn and worked non-stop until dusk. They returned at dawn the next day and finished before noon. Clean-up was ongoing both days and impressively completed. The roof is beautiful. Tri-County Roofing, Inc. is one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with.

JJ came to my house to give me an estimate for repairing my roof where a raccoon had opened it up. He called me right back, came out within a couple of days of calling. came at the time he said that he would. He had a good price. I had to choose between him and another contractor. Since I did not know either one of them except for them being in Angie's list, I went with the other. I would have had no problem going with him at all. A very competent and nice person. I will definitely give him a call the next time I need another estimate. thanks JJ

I contacted them through Angies"s List and within 24 hours one of their representatives called and set up a time to give us an estimate. He was here on the day we agreed to meet for an estimate. It was the week before Christmas and he told us it would be after the Holidays. We knew we had to wait our turn for service and unfortunately we had a very rainy spell. They started the replacement on a Friday and finished on Saturday. The crew was very polite and did an excellent job. We had rotten plywood which we knew and they replaced the boards. We had rain the night after they finished and I was so happy to go to the room and there was no puddles. They have a person that comes back to inspect the job to make sure it was done probably. Tri County Roofing charged exactly as the contract was written. I absolutely would use them again. We used Angie's List for the contractor because we are moving here and did not know which one to use and they have very good rating and more reviews than other contractors and they have been in business for quite a few years.

I contacted Tri-County Roofing in early Aug to do repairs on my roof. It took them close to a month to finally get to completing, or attempting to complete the work. After the first heavy rain the roof was leaking again. It took them another 2-3 weeks to come back out and after the first couple of times it rained there was no leak so I paid my bill. Then it rained more heavily and the roof was leaking just as bad as it was before they supposedly made the original repairs. I had to contact them many times to both come out for the original repair and to come back to complete the job and now for the third time to once again fix my roof. I was always told that I would be contacted when they would be coming out to do the work, but never was. All that I saw that let me know they came out was a door tag on my door. For all I know, no work was ever done on my roof. It leaks as bad now as it did before they supposedly came out the first time. I told them if they did not have the time to complete the work (I understand it was not a very lucrative job) that they could refund my money and I would find a different company to do the work. I was told via email that they do not guarantee their work because they did not cause the leak. Tri-County roofing is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and I am pretty baffled as to how they have good reviews on this site. Hopefully I am the exception, for whatever reason, but I do not recommend using Tri-County roofing for any work. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: I suppose I could have taken the email the provider sent out of context, but I can only go by how it sounded to me. I also have no record of "several" calls to my phone so that is not true. This simply comes down to me paying for a service from Tri-County roofing that was not completed and now this company wants to try to put the blame on me by stating facts that are not true. Very unprofessional.

Mr [member name removed], I'm sorry you took my words completely out of context. I said in the attached email that we can't guarantee repairs typically because we didn't install the roof and there are several areas that could be the issue and I'm sure you wouldn't pay $1,000 plus to repair everything it could be. But as a service to our customers we do try to keep coming out to fix the issue if we missed it. Which this is what we have done for you or free and fixed it. I apologize your experience wasn't enjoyable but if you check your call record we called several times and left messages. We finally decided to show up and leave a door hanger since we couldn't get a call back. This is why your leak has stopped. You have a right to post any review you want but I have a feeling you know inside you completely Took it out of context. Just remember we were not the reason your roof leaked to begin with. If you feel as you do not need us in the future than I accept this and I wish you well. I hope you have a good day and Merry Christmas.

Two days after I posted my initial Angie's List review of my "no show" experience with Tri-County Roofing, I received an e-mail of apology from the company and an offer to reschedule. I was not inclined to deal with this company again, but a subsequent phone call convinced my of their sincere desire to make things right. The owner himself showed up (early) for the appointment and he performed what seemed to me to be a thorough inspection of the accessible parts of my attic (I have very steep roof pitches in some areas which limit access) and my entire roof. He repaired and then fully explained all of the "issues" he saw which led to the leakage I observed on my living room ceiling. As a result of this experience, I have changed my previous opinion and regard Tri-County Roofing as a professional company which I would use again and recommend to others. Update, third visit!: The work done the second time turned out to be of poor quality! A couple weeks later, with the next big rain, the roof leaked again. Another Tri-County employee came out, inspected the same area around my chimney as before, and said that he didn't know how the previous workman had failed to see it, but there was a major gap funneling water right down my chimney onto my ceiling. He said he sealed it up, but that I should think about installing new materials up there. I told him I would like to get a written estimate of what that would cost. He said he would report back to his office at Tri-County Roofing and they would be in touch. That was the last I heard from them. My roof does not leak now, but after three visits and poor follow-through, I would not use them again.
Description of Work: I posted a review last weekend detailing a poor experience with this company, when their employee did not show up for an appointment to inspect my roof to determine and repair the source of a leaf I noticed on my living room ceiling. This is an updated review of the second appointment, during which attic and roof inspections were performed, the loose ridge vent on my chimney was nailed to the rafters, and nails and lower portions of the chimney were sealed.

Shannon provides a good, thorough inspection of the roof in question, with pictures, if necessary, then gives the options, then the quote, and we go from there. We had many Hugo roofs, so replacing roofs has been an issue for the last few years. I am very pleased with all of the roofs I have had put on by Tri-County. I have had them do two window jobs for me not too, and I have been very happy with those as well. Most of my roof jobs take one day, and the crews get in, do the work, clean up, and get out. Responsiveness is not a problem for me, but communication while on the job has been an issue a couple of times since these are rentals and I am not on the job the entire time. One house this summer had to have some decking replaced, and the first time I knew about it was when I got the bill. That should not happen. However, once the problem is brought to light, it is taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction! I believe they care about customer satisfaction. I find Tri-County to be honest, professional, and fair, and obviously believe in their product and people as I have used them many times, and have another roof on the books as I type!
Description of Work: Tri-County has put new roofs on about 8-10 of my rental properties, with 4 of them being done this summer, and they have replaced windows in two of my properties. They have also done a roof repair on one unit. I find all roof prices to be exorbitantly high these days, but when I get multiple quotes, sometimes Tri-County is higher, and other times a little lower. They tend to be slightly higher more often than lower, but they are a reputable company that has been around for a long time, and will back their work. You get what you pay for.

Crew showed up bright and early on scheduled day. Dumpster was provided. Tarps were laid out over my yard, bushes, a/c unit, etc. Although crew was Hispanic, the foreman spoke English and understood exactly what work was to be performed. They were very efficient, quiet and respectful. They pointed out any problems as they encountered them. They finished 95% of the work in one day. They were a couple of bundles short on shingles, but returned early the next day to finish. Walked the property with magnets to pick up any nails, debris after work was completed. Angie's list helped tremendously with $400 coupon on this site. Had a couple of small issues that arose after job completion. Contacted company and was able to meet one on one with supervisor. All problems were noted and resolved in a timely manner. Thanks!

Excellent! Shannon came and looked at problem and told me different ways we could fix. The work was done as scheduled and the men did an excellent job and cleaned up everything after they were done. The job took about 3 days because they were doing so good I had them add vinyl under the roof on the porch so I don't have to paint the porch ceiling. Wow it does look nice. These are very honest people.
Description of Work: Repaired a leaking metal roof. I had a life time warranty on roof with another company and that company has gone out of business. I decided this time to use Angie's List and see who was good and dependable in our area. Tri-County came highly rated and now I can understand why.

JJ was always easy to contact and easy to work with. They came out when they said and worked hard! Yes, they were Mexicans, but they knew their stuff! They were very careful and clean. They protected the yard and plants. The roof was pretty difficult, but they were like monkeys in a tree. The roof looks great! When it was all finished, JJ came out and asked for a broom. He swept the driveway. They replaced a little wood, but the price stayed as on the estimate. I know there have been a few bad reviews on Tricounty roofing and I can't really comment on why or who was at fault, but I can say that "you can't please everyone all the time" and "no one is flawlessly perfect all the time". There are many more good reviews than bad and I am yet another good review, so if you are looking for a new roof I would definitely give JJ a close look.

Lies, lies lies. When the crew arrived went right onto the roof without saying a word. There appeared to be 5 to 6 men on the roof. They arrived in a unmarked truck. NEVER DID SEE A SUPERVISOR NEVER DID SEE THE REPRESENTATIVE WHO ASKED FOR THE DELAY SO HE COULD BE HERE. The language I heard from the men on the roof was NOT ENGLISH. The rain came a day or so after the completion. The water poured from the weep holes in the vinyl siding. The wall of my house was a waterfall. The same crew was sent back to install a large blue tarp over my roof. I was still being told the crew was company employees, I never was able to get an answer as to why the supervisor never showed up when the job was being installed. I was given a very poor answer why the representative never came to the job as was promised (after I accepted the delay to ensure that would happen. The rains continued so that repairs were not immediately possible. The wind blew the tarp off and the crew was called back with a larger tarp and more rope to secure it. The crew leader actually showed up with his wife TO TRANSLATE for him when a meeting was held at my home with the company representative. | |A hole in the old roof created by suspected racoons was not covered. This was discussed prior to the job starting and 3 sheets of plywood were delivered by company truck at the start of the job. (Note; the 3 sheets went back on a company truck at the end of the job, they were untouched.) |IN ADDITION upon checking the work it was discovered that the flashing around the chimney was NOT INSTALLED. This allowed the rain water to pour from my walls. When the weather allowed my roof was fixed. The tarp was on my roof for almost 2 weeks, my neighbors laughed a lot. A supervisor did come and inspect the work. The roof is now good. There has not been any evidence of leakage since that time. The company did step up and send a man to investigate the a water stain on an inside wall. He fixed it and painted the wall over. Ultimately the job was fixed, the problems corrected. No money had yet changed hands. I asked for some relief on the invoice for the aggravation all this had caused and did receive a credit for $250 and credit for the plywood sheathing that was not used and taken back. A promise of a manufacture's credit at the completion of the job never did materialize, the representative who I dealt with did not return any calls. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They did correct the problem, but it never should have happened. I specifically inquired of the installation crew to avoid problems. I was lied to. No one was able to tell me why a supervisor never came to the job. The representative that I worked with could offer no valid reason for his not coming to inspect the job. By his agreement that crew should not have been assigned to this job, even after all that he wanted me to believe that they were full time company men. I was lied to pure and simple. The lack of professionalism is apparent. While the owner did not want to speak with me the $250 credit was not even close to being a satisfactory compensation. I waited a long to to comment as I needed to let my frustration and anger subside. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: Promised company employees, not a non-English speaking crew. Promised experienced supervisor to oversee the job. Promised by the representative that he would be at the job the day of installation to personally monitor the work. At one point was prepared to schedule the start of the job, but he asked that we delay for at least one week while he went on a long planned vacation. He did want to be here. We accepted the delay, we did want the extra eyes on the job to ensure there would be no problems.

Angies List is being notified as this is being written now, because this customer obviously has written a review for the wrong company. There is another company with a name similar to ours that i think he may have meant to write this for. He did say in his reviewl that he had waited a while to write the review and i think that he may have confused the names because i do not have record of this name. That being said i do appreciate the review because if this was my company i would want to get to the bottom of what exactly happened. But we have protocols in place to make sure this does not happen like a Quality Control Team and an Operations Department that is there to solely run the job from beginning to end. I hope anyone reading this can read the other reviews and realize that this is not my company's style.
