At our initial meeting with Aaron to review our bathroom remodel, he was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly and had good suggestions. His subs were all very nice and we felt comfortable having them in our home even when we were not there. They were all pretty tidy in their work and took care to protect our wood floors while working. In the middle of the project, we had our tub and surround tile resurfaced and glass shower doors installed by a separate contractors. Aaron's guys took extra precautions while working around these new features so as not to cause them damage. We really appreciated that! While there were some minor bumps along the way in the project, Aaron was readily available to make sure his subs got everything completed to our satisfaction. We really love our new bathroom and thank Aaron and his guys for doing a great job.

Superior builders of Charleston did a fantastic job. From the very beginning Aaron was great. He had great input and information for us, and he and his crew were professional and hardworking, and did a wonderful job making our new upstairs bedroom beautiful.

My work with Aaron began in Nov of 2011 for tilework in the shower of a rental home that was in need of repair. Aaron came out, looked at the shower tile and noticed a bigger problem that he felt needed my attention. There was long crack along the floor of the bathroom that he suspected was structural damage. He advised me to get a second opinion before fixing the shower floor just in case a beam needed to be put in to support the floor. I decided to hold off on the repair until the tenants were moved out and I was able to have an inspection done while I was there in Feb. I did another walkthrough with Aaron in the beginning of Feb, for various repairs needed throughout the house...master shower floor regrouting, kitchen flooring replacement, doors needing to be reset, cracks in the ceiling that needed repair. We had a dishwasher that had a small leak and caused our kitchen floors to buckle. The flooring was a costly repair that I thought had to be done. Aaron advised against it, an engineer specializing in moisture issues agreed. While doing the walkthough, we noticed several other problems that I was unaware of. There was mold on the wall where my dryer duct was. Aaron cut the drywall out and discovered I was missing a dryer vent. He pulled out wet insulation from the wall. There was also mold on the garage ceiling, and in the master closet. Aaron was very candid during the walkthrough and encouraged me to have an hvac company out to access the unit. He suspected I had some air leaks which caused condensation, but he said he's not an expert in that area. I had an hvac company out within the next couple of days. In order for them to make the necessary repairs, they needed the drywall cut down in the garage all along the duct work, as well as a barrier removed around the condenser so they could have access. Still unsure of the underlying issues in my house, I had a couple more inspectors out and had to put my repairs on hold for a few weeks. Aaron was more than cooperative in the process. He gave me great advice on how to get estimates from people, as well as resources that will help get the builder to fix their mistakes. When I was ready to begin the work again, I had Aaron out for another walk though. This time the work included some demo work for the HVAC company. I was actually able to have the builder take care of some of the things Aaron was going to do. Aaron was happy for me that I was able to save some money and Aaron had Forrest out to cut down my drywall and take down the barrier around my condenser. Forrest was on time, polite, and cleaned up when he was finished. Aaron knew I was trying to leave town and get the work completed, so he fit me into his schedule on a Saturday to rebuild the framing around the condenser (still allowing access for service techs), fix a door that was off hing, and frame out part of my garage ceiling. While he was there, he even double checked the work the builder did for me to make sure they weren't pulling the wool over my eyes. Aaron came out the beginning of the next week to paint the ceiling of my garage from the HVAC ductwork repair. He even pressure washed the garage floor because of all the work that was done. My new tenants were very happy about that. Aaron was a pleasure to work with. He stayed in communication with me through the entire process, was flexible and understanding when I had to change the work order or time frame. He gave me advice and his opinion on what was going on in my house. I learned a lot from Aaron and trust him to do work for me in the future.

Made a huge effort to keep everything from getting dusty and keep it cleaned up after the work was done on a daily basis. always showed up when he said he would be there.

Superior Builders did most of the main renovation work to a town home in West Ashley, SC that I purchased in Sept 2011. The property is a 2 story town home 1,150 Sq ft with originally 2 beds and 1.5 baths and was in a bad state of disrepair internally when I purchased it since it was a foreclosure, abandoned for 24 months and most of the fixtures, fittings, etc from when it was built back in 1981. They started during the week of Oct 2011 and completed on Dec 30th 2011. I did not use them for any of the removal of old units, fittings and appliances nor did I use them for decorating, but they were involved in much of the modeling and re-modeling work throughout the property. This included the complete remodeling of the kitchen, downstairs bathroom and upstairs new en-suite bathroom as well as other work to the living room, bedrooms and second bathroom - effectively they touched every room in the house. Aaron is the owner and throughout the process, he was very helpful, consultative and informed me of any additional work or changes that were required. The work was also very professional and timely. I needed completion before new tenants moved in on Dec 31st 2011 and he completed everything with just a day remaining! During the work he came up with some ideas that led to some great improvements such as the removal of cupboard and shelving space to fit the shower in the new en-suite, the removal of the old living room fireplace with new drywall to create more space. He was also good in advising where you could save money in certain cases or spend a little more for greater effect. My town home is now in fantastic shape and transformed from an old abandoned wreck into a desirable rental property. Would definitely use Superior Builders again if I had another project of this type again.

Great experience working with Aaron from Superior Builders. He found the cause of water damage on my ceiling and walls, and after the cause was fixed by my warranty, he came back and repaired all of the damage and repainted. He also repainted the entire house and fixed a broken staircase banister. He worked very well around my schedule, since I am out of town quite frequently. The painters were quick & the finished job looked great! Highly recommended.

Aaron did a great job on this project for me. He came to my home and was very detailed and through in going over my needs. He made great suggestions and was very professional with the presentation of his estimate. The job took seven days to complete and he was hands on for most of the work. Aaron and his crew first came on Tuesday afternoon to remove all the heavy furniture. The following morning Aaron and crew came covered all pieces to large to move, removed all the carpeting and placed all the boxes of hardwood in adjacent rooms to age over the next few days. Than one of his crew, Armando spent the next three days completing the ceiling work; first placing plastic over doorways leading into the area, removing the popcorn, preparing and painting the ceilings. Armando arrived early each day and did a great job of cleaning up at the end of the day. The following three days Aaron with help from his crew, removed the particle board, installed the plywood and then the hardwood flooring and trim. They arrived on time each day and spent long hours getting the project completed in a timely manner. They were always very professional and ended the day by leaving the rooms as neat as they were at the beginning of the day. I also had Aaron move the Cable TV outlet to another wall in the livingroom and move the large entertainment center to that wall. The final day they did minor touchups, moved the large furniture back in place and did a final sweep of the rooms. To my surprise Aaron had Armando powerwash the front porch, front / back walkways and part of the driveway that had little white marking from the interior work. I would not hesitate hiring Aaron or recommending him to anyone interested in having home improvement projects.

Aaron was very prompt with his visit for estimate and worked perfectly with our realtor. His price was fair and we chose him from his reputation on Angie's List. He got right on the job, the work was exceptional and the whole crew worked overtime to get the project completed. Overall I can't say enough about Aaron, his crew and their work. Simply great people to work with!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Overall they did a very good job. Aaron provided some good ideas in upgrades and acquired some good bids on products like new sinks. He also listened and responded as needed throughout the process. Would recommend Superior Builders.

We needed to have our out dated quest bath remodeled. Aaron has done lots of work for us in the past, so he was our first choice for estimates for what we needed. He gutted the bathroom including the tub surround, toilet, and cabinets in both the bathroom and vanity area. He repaired the sheetrock in the vanity area, installed new tile both for the floors and the new shower enclosure, moved plumbing pipes and installed the new shower fixtures, faucets and toilet and installed all the wood trim around the floors. He was on time every step of the way, showed up when he said he would, informed us when problems were encountered that we had not anticipated, and finished up as planned. He was neat, kep the work area clean and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We were on a budtget and he went out of his way to accomdate us in any way he could. He did not waste any materials he used, which saved us quite a bit in the ordering of the tile. We could not ask for a better job. I would recommend this young man for any job you need to have done any time.

Aaron is a true professional. His attention to detail, prompt and regular communication concerning the progress of work or issues/plan changes to be resolved is a breath of fresh air from past experiences with other contractors. He is quick to offer more cost effective options when discussing the details the desired work, saving me time and money. His prices are very competitive, and while I have used cheaper contractors in the past, it ended up being much more costly and aggrivating in the end when projects did not get finished in a timely manner or with the promised quality of work. My time, money and peace of mind were well-place in Aaron's hands. He will be my first phone call when the time comes for the next round of home repair or improvements.

We had 7 weeks to completely renovate our house. Aaron managed our project beautifully. His crew was always on time, and did exactly what he promised...and then some! It was a huge relief once he started on our project. We had been in negotiations with another contractor who wasted 6 precious weeks getting us an estimate. Aaron didn't waste a moment. I know all projects can't be compressed into a crazy time frame, but he worked with us to get it done. He also worked well with the building inspector. This is definitely a plus!!! He was always upfront, and very responsive. Aaron is very easy to work with and very accessible. We were so pleased, that we recommended him to a home owner up the street whose project had gone wrong. When Superior Builders finished our project, they took over her job and completed her renovation too! Superior Builders continues to do work for us. When we're ready for the next big round of renovations, we will definitely have them do it!

Aaron was a pleasure to work with. My remodeling job was completed according to plan, on budget and in a timely manner. I was kept up to date throughout the entire process, the work area was left clean every evening and I was very pleased with the final result. Aaron and his team did a great job on this challenging project. As is often the case when dealing with a house in really bad shape the full extent of the repairs is often not known until the work begins. Aaron was terrfic at communicating throughout the job and giving multiple solutions for me to choose from for each job that came up. I feel like I recieved value and great work for the money and would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone.

It went very well. The contractor found us a very reasonably priced piece of marble for the vanity counter top. The sinks, hardware, and counter top were installed as required, and have a marvelous look. The difficult job of removing all the old tile was completed. This included tile on the floor of the bathroom, tile on the walls and floor of the shower, and tile around the tub. The contractor was careful to take the old tile out of the house through a window so no mess would be left on the floor the the house. The new tile floor was installed professionally, with matching grout, which was sealed properly. The new fiberglass shower and glass shower doors were well installed, as was the new toilet. The owners of the house removed the old wallpaper, but needed help with repairing the drywall. The contractor did an excellent job of drywall repair. I would hire Superior Builders of Charleston again.

Aaron quickly returned my call when I left a message to inquire if he could give me an estimate. He came the following day to inspect the problem and within a day he emailed me an estimate. After I decided to hire him for the job we agreed on a time that I could be available. He arrived at exactly the appointed time and got right to work. He cleaned up everything when he was finished and said to call if I had any problems. He was very professional. I would absolutely hire him again!

i could not have been more pleased. even though the job was small, i felt an urgent need to have the pane replaced asap--afraid the glass would fall out. he acted quickly and called me a couple of times just to let me know exactly what he was doing. he coordinated his times with my work schedule. his manner was very pleasant and professional. he receives my highest recommendation. i will surely call him again when the need arises. it is a joy to find a business that still takes pride in their work--even in such a small job.

As previously stated, I needed work done due to a water issue. I called Custom Designs and, within a couple of days they had someone out to estimate what type of work needed to be done. This was on a friday, I believe. By the next tuesday, I had an etimate and Aaron was at my condo on Saturday. This seems a little lengthy of a time period, but they let me know ahead of time that they were busy, so it was no issue. Just for the record, it was well worth a little wait. Aaron showed up at around 930 and he looked over everything just to make sure of the materials he would need. During this I asked him, since my ceiling was having repairs done anyways, what were some ideas for making my patio look a little better. he recommended having a bead-board ceiling put in and he said that, since he was already there working and the ceiling would be taken apart, he would give me a discount on putting up the bead-board. I agreed and he went off to pick up his materials. Less than an hour later he was working on my ceiling. During the whole process, I was asking questions, and he, my fiancee, and I was carrying on conversations. He explained everything he was doing and why and answered each of my questions to my liking and understanding. I don't remember the exact time frame, but this process didn't take long. Maybe a couple of hours. When he was finished with my unit, he went downstairs to my neighbor's. This didn't take him long at all, since he only needed to replace one board. He finished up there and then had his painters come in to caulk everything and get it painted. My neighbor was more than happy with hers and said it was as good as new, if not better than when she got it. Mine looks amazing, and I am going to have them come back and paint my entire patio after I make a couple more renovations to it. Their attention to detail was impeccable and the timeliness and work ethic are unmatched from what I have seen so far. I don't know how the pricing compares, but I was more than happy to give that money in exchange for the service I was provided. If I left anything out of this, I will get back on and update as soon as it comes to my mind. These guys were great and helpful. Highly recommend.

It was excellent. It was actually better than I ever imagined. Aaron came up with fabulous ideas. His personality alone sells the business.

The job went great!! From start to finish, everything was perfect. A good price, short notice delivery of the required labor, no unnecessary mess and, the most professional and well mannered employees. Do expect to get a great price on a floor tile project. Do expect a fast and neat job. Do expect the work area to be left clean. Do not expect to be disappointed. Do expect an overall good experience.

Amazing. Great experience. They were incredibly thorough and professional from the first phone call to finishing touch-ups by painting entire walls for one small blemish! Crew arrived on-time and catered to special requests with care. Job was finished on schedule. They were on budget - even under in some cases. We did the painting in stages for our convenience and used different companies due to poor performance of others. We found Mr. Youmans last, and would certainly call them for future needs. They were also the best price for the high quality of work done.
