After a frustrating 6 weeks trying to get another contractor to do the job ( 1 bedroom ! ) correctly, Mr. Youmans took over. Not only was the work finished within a week, the workers arrived on time, were quiet , polite and kept the area clean. Mr Youmans had done work for us previously, also of a very high standard, and we should have been sensible enough to have hired him at the outset of this job. He will be doing other floors in our home soon.

Looks good as new. I would use Superior on other future needs under the remodeling realm. Have a few things in mind.

Superior Builders of Charleston are on time and they work. They don't take breaks, they work. They are careful with their carpentry.

Did great work and easy to work with. I some confusion on the work/cost (my fault completely) that he was had been very clear about (as mentioned, I misunderstood); however, he worked with me and still made it affordable. Would definitely use him in the future...

I was impressed with the thorough way Mr Youmans explained what needed to be done and how he patiently answered my questions. The workman who repaired the doors took time to show me what was wrong and what needed to be done before he did the work. I knew exactly what was happening. I am thrilled I can now close my bedroom door without forcing it. Mr Youmans replaced the shower floor tile and showed my son was he was doing each step of the way because I could not be there when the work was done. It looks so much better and water no longer pools in one corner of the shower. I will definitely be calling on Superior Builders when I tackle other remodeling projects in my house. .From start to finish, Aaron was very professional and great at keeping things on a good schedule. It took a while, but only because of the acclimation that the flooring needed. The entire job was well laid out and I am very satisfied with the way it looks after they finished. He will finish the job on Monday when the threshold molding comes in. It has been on backorder and was not his fault. It was difficult to match my driftwood color of flooring. Aaron has always called me before making any changes when buying products for the job which I appreciated. He is one hard worker that knows all ends of the job and isn't afraid to tackle something new. All of his workers are committed to do excellent work as well and are well trained. Any time I need work or upgrades done in the future, I will call Aaron who owns Superior Builders of Charleston

I called Aaron to get an estimate for some cracked tiles in my shower floor and to fix a soft spot in the subfloor of my hallway. Aaron called in the morning to confirm our appointment. He arrived on time and was very friendly. It turned out that the two issues I was having were simple fixes that are within my capabilities of performing. Aaron was nice enough to tell me how to correct the problems. A lot of people would have tried to charge me to do unnecessary work that I could have done myself. Superior Builders an honest company and they will get my business the next time I need work done.

Overall they did a great job. Don't get me wrong there were ups and downs as with any remodeling job but they addressed them quickly and without losing quality of work. For contractors I was impressed with how well they cleaned up when done with the task, wasn't perfect but impressive in my experience. I will continue to use Aaron and his team for the rest of our house remodeling projects, hardwoods in master and remodeling of 2 full baths.

This was elevated construction and quite a large area. Everything was done well, recommendations were made after the project began, and they were more than willing to listen to what I wanted and follow through with everything. Aaron checked the work and pointed out areas that needed attention before I did. I would not hesitate to recommend Aaron and his crew for any construction work.

This small but complicated job went amazingly smooth due to the professionalism and expertise of the owner and a very talented craftsman. They showed up exactly when they said they would, did exactly what they said they would do for the price they had quoted. I've renovated approximately 12 houses and I would HIGHLY recommend this crew!

Aaron's employees were meticulously diligent as they encountered one surprise after another in the demolition process. Instead of one old floor, they found three that had to be removed in order to do the job properly. There were plumbing problems they encountered as well during the process and Aaron made sure each problem was corrected before they continued. The men arrived promptly, were clean and as unobtrusive as possible. The final price was more than reasonable for all the work that they ended up having to do. Aaron is now my "go-to guy" when I have construction needs of any kind!

Aaron came to my house promptly and gave me a written quote. He scheduled and completed the work efficiently, even though this was a small job. He replaced all the decking in my back porch with treated lumber and used screws (rather than nails) without being prompted. He is courteous and does great work.

The result were better than we expected; the deck looks great as does the new door and window. Aaron and his team were easy to work with and modified our deck plan to better suit the space. He was also very accessible and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be working with Aaron again in the future!

Everything went fine- the few details that needed some extra attention were addressed right away. We are glad we called Aaron and will definitley call him again soon for some additional work.

I received several quotes from Angie's list and friend's recommendations. I found that the owner Aaron was the most responsive and right along the same lines of the others with his quote. I like to do business with company's that respond in a timely manner which he provided formal quote that evening after he came out. He was also ready to get started with in days. Aaron and the individuals that work for him are very professional and have valuable knowledge and advice. Their work is meticulous and well done! I would highly recommend them and would use them again!

Superior Builders removed a sliding glass door, framed the opening, and installed a new picture window that I had previously purchased. They installed new vinyl siding that closely matched the original on the outside and the it looks great. They installed sheet rock on the inside and got that ready for painting, which I'm going to do. The work was performed in a very professional manner and I am pleased with the finished job.

Mr. Youmans was on time. Did not charge for giving me his opinion on the other contractors work. He was dressed appropriately for the job and very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Aaron met me at my rental house to inspect and give me an estimate. He explained up front that others might offer lower quotes, and that I needed to make sure that whoever did the work removed all the glue before laying the tile. Removing the glue is a tedious process, which I actually understood even before he said something. The tile could not be expected to adhere properly unless all traces of glue were removed. I appreciated that he wanted me to understand that his estimate would not include cutting corners. I elected to go with Aaron's proposal. He arrived on the appointed date after picking up the tile I pre-ordered at Lowe's, and along with his assistant, began work. When they opened the very last box of tiles, Aaron realized they didn't match the rest of the tiles. Late in the day now, he took the box back to Lowe's to exchange for the correct tiles, when he was told they didn't have any more of the ones we needed. His assistant was waiting at the house to complete the project. Aaron waited to speak to a manager at Lowe's, and asked them to make things right. The manager agreed that Lowe's had made the mistake, and arranged for the correct tiles to be secured promptly from another store, with no additional costs to me or Aaron. Stage 1 (removing the carpet), stage 2 (scraping off and removing the glue), and stage 3 (laying and setting the tiles) were all completed in one very long day. Aaron came back the next day to grout, and could not do it due to complications with another contractor. He had allocated his day to completing stage 4 of the process, and it turned out to be a lost day for him. His attitude remained positive, and he rescheduled. When all work was completed, the result was striking. The ceramic tile flooring is just beautiful; I could not have asked for a better result.

We knew we had an issue but did not realize it would impact the hardwood floors on the inside. Aaron pointed this out to us and it all made sense given the information we had just heard from an AC service person who was out just the day before. They were on time and completed the task in a very timely manner. They were professional and very easy to communicate with. Aaron was very informative and helpful with things beyond area of concern. We will be using them in the future to install hardwood floors.

Aaron agreed to do a small drywall tear-out and replacement project for us after we realized we were unable to do it ourselves. We were on a tight schedule and my stress level was off the charts. Even though he doesn't usually take on such small jobs, he was working in my neighborhood already and he stepped in. He sent over the most professional crew we've ever dealt with. My stress evaporated. Aaron's crew did the job with time to spare and left the area much cleaner than they found it. We are so impressed with his work that we are contracting him to put in a floor for us. Thank you, Angie's List, for helping us find a real treasure!

Aaron is professional and attentive from start to finish. His initial contact was quick, his estimates thoughtful and accurate and his scheduling of the work fast and at our convenience. We worked with Aaron, Carl and Forest on our repair/remodel and each and every one of them was punctual, professional, cared very much about the work they were doing and about the clean up of the project areas each day they were here. The finished results are fabulous. Aaron and his team are craftsmen, not just contractors. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will be doing more projects with them soon!

Aaron is very responsive, but like any good business, books up quickly. We contacted him in June, and he came to give us an estimate right away, but his crews were booked up until the end of July. It was worth the wait. We were very pleased with the results.
