Description of Work: The came out and the service tech added Freon. four days later it quit working again. The Freon added 160.00 to the bill. Now I need to replace the entire ac unit because according to the tech once I could contact them again the leak can not be fixed.

Description of Work: My AC needed recharged and a small part changed. The office made sure to get me in ASAP since it was so hot and we were without AC. It was very quick and they finished within an hour. I only wish that I was told about how much it would cost to fix prior to leaving the job. Overall, the job was done extremely well within an amazing time frame.

We got an estimate for all work within 12 hours - and, as we requested, he broke down the costs of demolition, new duct installation and restoring. Seems reasonable. Likely to go with them.

+ -1 moreThe entire experience was the best one I have ever had with a Heat and A/C contractor. Both men were very courteous and real gentlemen. They are fairly new in the Charleston area and are working hard to build a good reputation here. You would do well to hire them and I reccommend them wholeheartedly.
Description of Work: Before hiring Southern Air Solutions to replace my entire HVAC system, I had three other estimates. Home Depot/ARS did everything possible to justify a higher price including lying about the fact that I had a heat pump. (I didn't.) Southern Air Solutions gave me the best price by far. Because Philip Gaskins of Southern Air Solutions is an educated person, a Clemson graduate, he is knowledgeable enough to do product research and got me a superior Rheem system for a lower price than my previous and inferior Goodman system. He is also more articulate and easier to communicate with than most contractors. The installation went smoothly. Because the new unit was wider than my previous one, Philip's father had to do some carpentry to make it fit. He performed this with TLC and no sheetrock repairs were necessary.

Description of Work: Our home warranty company sent us SAS (Southern Air Solutions) when the first contractor they sent out did not find or correct our A/C problem. SAS came out to our home on July 4th when no other company would (when they were contacted for emergency service by the home warranty company). On July 4th, they came out, found the problem, and said they would have to order parts and come back to install them. The parts came in when we were out of town. The day we returned home, SAS came out to install the new parts (new blower motor and capacitor).
