Clark's Termite & Pest Control

Came out and thought it went pretty well but the end result was not satisfactory

I have been very pleased with them. The first time they came, they were very precise. The rest of the visits, they seemed to be hasty and didn't provide advanced notice when they were coming. I feel that they should have called ahead of time.

The first months were a pleasant experience. However things have gone downward. Grass still has the dead spots, mowing almost never happens on schedule (e.g. we are presently on a biweekly schedule, is 7/21 and they last mowed 7/1). Last year they replaced parts of the grass in July and much of it did not root. They seem to take action only when we call. I believe lawn work is on the bottom of the list of services they perform. 4/7/11 My husband decided to give Clark's another chance because they promised better service. I'll update my report mid summer.

After a year we had termites, fire ants and pests. Though it cost us more money, we contracted with someone else (see Terminex).

I pay them every August to keep the termite bond or whatever it is that makes sure that the house will not have termites going. All he was doing is just inspecting my house for termites. I thought he was professional and courteous. He worked quickly and answered my questions if I had any.

So far it seems the work that the work they performed was effective. They also monitor the situation once a month.

I hired another company and paid for a year-long contract, and they came regularly but did not solve the probelm. After checking various online ratings, I hired Arrow. I was worried - Arrow costs more than the 1st company I hired, and more than many companies. BUT THEY SOLVED THE PROBLEM - they found where the mice were coming in from and make every effort to work with you to not just catch them when they come in but to completely solve the problem. Once you pay the initial fee, you are only charged $70/month for the months that you use them (extra visits within the month are included). Most of their guys are great (all undergo constant re-training) - my favorite is Mr. Torres who is a bit of a McGyver. When there was a problem with scheduling my appointments I wrote to the owner, who called me back personally to solve the problem. Highly recommended.

Traps were inspected once a month. Never had any termites taking bait. So, we never had any termites. Wrote, return receipt requested, to end contract, have traps removed and money refunded. Instead, traps were checked (no termites) again. I telephoned the company and they are coming this week to discuss matter.

They are a very large and full-service company, and I am happy with them. I have used them for many years on both my homes, and also on my one home in Massapequa, which was my childhood home. My father used to use them back there. They also offer handyman services and gutter cleaning services now, which I have not tried yet, but I am going to. I have a service contract with them for the pest control, and the price is about $135 a year. I have a lot of oak trees around the house, and if you don’t clean the gutters, it just kind of invites the carpenter ants to find a way in. We had a bathroom window which leaked on the first floor when people showered, and moisture was getting inside. The wet wood was perfect environment to attract carpenter ants. We eliminated the moisture, and then we started seeing a lot of ants because they were out searching for a new spot. We attempted to clear them ourselves but our stuff just wasn’t good enough to do the job, and that’s when we actually called them. They sprayed both inside and out and they put some sort of bait. Within two weeks, we didn’t see anymore of the ants. They come out when needed. If you see an ant, for instance, and you give them a call, they’ll come over. They are very quick and responsive. You can call them any number of times. This last year I have not used them. I let the policy lapse because I thought that we had them. I had to pick up the policy again. They continued the contract, and I just had to pay for the two years that I didn’t have it.

I called the company to make an appointment for the treatment of fleas and ants. The company rep told me that it would be an extra $100 for the flea treatment, but a follow-up visit was included in the cost. I scheduled it. She called me back and said after consulting with someone else in the office, that I may want to only have the flea treatment and that it would most likely take care of any other problems. If not, I could always schedule another service. This was great to me because it saved me (potentially) $100. He came out, sprayed for fleas and then put gel bait in the kitchen crevices for the ants. He was quick, professional and scheduled the follow-up.

They are really good and I would recommend them to other people as well. They are thorough and make sure to answer all of our questions. They are also personable and hard working. The price is reasonable as well. I am very happy with them. I pay them monthly.

The initial inspection was very smooth. The company representative was prompt and professional, explained things clearly including different levels of bond available. For the actual treatment the representative was 45 minutes late, but worked quickly and finished the work in the amount of time that was originally promised.

THE COMPANY DOES A GOOD ON PEST CONTROL PROBLEMS. THE SERVICE IS DONE ON TIME AND THE WORKERS ARE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH INSECTS AROUND MY HOME SINCE I STARTED USING THE SERVICE.

I ONLY HAD TO USE THIS COMPANY ONCE. THEY WERE WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. THEY WERE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM AND WE HAVE NOT SEEN A BUG FROM THE DAY THEY SPRAYED.

I HAVE A YEARLY CONTRACTING WITH MY LOCAL EXTERMINATING COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY FAST, RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AND VERY HONEST. ANYTIME I HAVE A QUESTION OR CONCERN I DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM.

ARROW EXTERMINATING DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HAVE A SEVERE BEE PROBLEM THAT IS TAKEN CARE OF EVERY YEAR BY THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

WE CHECKED OUT FOUR DIFFERENT COMPANIES, AND THREE OUT FOUR SAID WE HAD TERMITES. ALL WE HAD WERE FLYING ANTS. WE USED ARROW BECAUSE THEY SOLD US ON THEIR TERMITE TRAP SYSTEM. SO FAR I AM NOT IMPRESSED.

I USED ARROW EXTERMINATING FOR PREVIOUS PEST CONTROL AND THEY GAVE ME A BIT OF A PRICE BREAK FOR CHOOSING TO USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE SUCCESS OF THEIR WORK.

ARROW IS A WONDERFUL COMPANY. I USED THEM FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS. THEY CAME FOUR TIMES A YEAR. THEY ALWAYS CAME AT THEIR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY.

WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR MANY OF YEARS. WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY. WHEN MY FRIENDS ASKS WHO WE USE FOR PEST CONTROL I TELL THEM ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO, AND THEY ONLY HAD TO COME OUT ONE TIME. USUALLY THESE COMPANIES HAVE TO KEEP COMING OUT BUT AFTER ARROW SPRAYED, I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY ANTS AT ALL.

ARROW COMES OUT ONCE A YEAR TO PROVIDE AN ANNUAL TERMITE INSPECTION. THE WORKERS ARE VERY PROMPT AND THOROUGH. I HAVE SO FAR, BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES.

ARROW DOES A GOOD AND THOROUGH JOB. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT I HAVE NO TERMITES AFTER THEY HAVE CHECK.

I LIKE THIS SERVICE VERY MUCH, THEY ARE GOOD AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY BUGS. THEY COME AT THE SAME TIME EACH MONTH, DO THEIR WORK AND DON'T BOTHER ME AT ALL.

THIS COMPANY WAS PROFESSIONAL AND UNDERSTANDING. I HAD A BUG PROBLEM AND THEY CAME IMMEDIATELY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. AS A CUSTOMER, I WAS TREATED WITH HONOR AND RESPECT. INSECTS ARE NO LONGER A PROBLEM.
