Clark's Termite & Pest Control

1 year experience with Clark’s Pest Control. Initial treatment with quarterly maintenance treatments. And we scheduled additional treatments between quarters due to the bugs that just kept coming. Despite this the bugs never stopped coming. When Clark’s came they would treat only a specific area. So for example they were called out for Argentine Ants by the trash can. They sprayed and they died but very next day the ants moved to dog bowl. Then you would have to reschedule and they would come out to treat that area. They would not do anything but what any homeowner could accomplish with Raid insecticide themselves. During their coverage new German cockroaches showed up we never had prior. How does a home under pest control develop a problem with bugs it didn’t even have before? They offered additional treatments at additional costs. Clarke’s sent an angry young male as our contact person who we declined immediately due to his agitated behavior and suspected mental illness. They sent a replacement who was a supervisor but the majority of the year the contract was under his care and he failed. You really don’t want Clarke’s undereducated male employees prowling around in your house. I wonder if Clark’s or one of their employees are diluting their chemicals to make more money. After I fired them and spoke to other pest control companies, they acknowledged they are aware of many customers with similar stories leaving Clark’s and only from Clark’s. When I cancelled it was easy, they were happy to get rid of customers like me. They just wanted the spray and bill customer and not actually to provide a service. Yes we understand they are a business but this was more like a scam. We had Clark’s provide a termite estimate as well, my termite guy looked at it and just said you know they aren’t even offering you formite Termite protection which is now endemic in my area. I wonder why they did that but I know. He said most people don’t know the difference and the price is lower so it looks good. Clark’s advertises as a family company which they were, but they are not now, they are a business first, second and third. Do not be fooled, they aren’t there to help they’re just they’re to collect your money. Now that we have been with another company for only 1 month, the bugs are gone. I wish we had moved on from Clarke’s along time ago but we didn’t know we were being taken advantage of.

We’ve been real pleased with them. It’s a little family run business and they do an excellent job. They are actually coming out next week and we use the sentricon bait system, so they would be coming out and checking the bait system. We’ve been real pleased with them. They are a termite protection, so we use them on an on-going basis. What they do is they maintain it, but they come out several times a year and check the bait stations. We have a contract with them, so it’s an on-going contract. I think they come every 3 months. They check the little bait traps every 3 months. We pay $3,500 a year for our termite protection. We’re pleased with the price and the quality. If we’re not pleased with people we don’t use them. If we use them they’re an “A” or we don’t use them anymore. We’ve been using them on-going for several years.

Excellent. Staff are very knowledgeable and communicate well. Yard maintenance staff even stopped by a few weeks after treatment to access status of lawn. Yard looks great.

Clark's lawn staff are the best - they ask/listen to concerns, always let me know what they're doing to the lawn & provide follow up instructions. They treat the lawn several times per year for weeds, they fertilize, perform soil sample tests, etc. Am the only house on the block with a weed free lawn.

We were working with a tight schedule and our poor inspector came out, sick as a dog, to keep our Friday afternoon appointment. Since the appointment was late in the day, he told us the inspection report would be emailed to us by 8 am Monday morning. We had to follow up with them on Monday and didn't receive it until nearly 5 pm. On the one hand, I appreciated that they kept the appointment; on the other, I was frustrated that the work was not completed in the time frame we were told. In most cases, a few extra hours on a termite inspection probably doesn't matter, but in our case, it held up our real estate transaction and cost us money.

Clark's has done a really good job. We had an issue with ants when we first moved into our home. Since the treatment, we have not had another issue, nor have we seen any other types of insects. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully! They humanely re-homed the squirells and came back two weeks later to squirrel proof soffit.

All technicians were polite and professional. They did an excellent job for us. They were always willing to go the extra mile and make a special trip to provide service at a time that was more convenient for the homeowners.

Clark's provides several services for us on a regular basis: basic termite and pest control, carpenter bee control (which also keeps wasps from building on our wood-trimmed house), and mosquito spraying in season.They always call to confirm the apt, are on time, and do a thorough job. They always make sure we put the dog inside before they start the treatment. This particular time they told us we didn't need to treat the bees, which was great.

Service was performed quickly, and the provider-cant remember his name is always very pleasant.

It did not cost me anything. My last experience was excellent. I know people there and they do the right job. The staff is wonderful.

The folks from Clark's come to our house every spring to do an inspection. It's always easy to get an appointment with them at a convenient time, and all employees are friendly and helpful.

We moved to South Carolina from Ohio, did research for a company to spray our home to prevent "bugs" and decided on Clarks. We were initially impressed with the front desk personnel and the technician that performed the service. Our builder provided one year termite coverage, so when that expired, we checked into our options and Clarks again was a top contender. Their coverage was excellent and their prices were competitive. The following year, we needed to treat our lawn or hire a lawncare service. We again did research and decided to go with Clark's. They have done an exceptional job! I would recommend Clark's for any and all of the services we have contracted with them. They are exemplary! From their office personnel to the technical people, they are professional, polite and knowledgeable!

We have had no issues, They are professional and on time. We found them through Angie's List. The cost is about $250/year which is competitive.

They sprayed inside the house. Didn't work the first time and they had to come out a couple for times but we haven't had any ants in our house since. They were very good about coming back until the job was done. Would use them again.

Contacted on a weekend/after hours right away/extremely professional and punctual and insect issues are being resolved. Company is extremely easy to work with and has been patient with us on a pre-existing issue in the home. They are working diligently to help us out and we will highly recommend them to others.

So far, so good. They put traps around the house. They found some additional termite damage that wasn't previously found.

After interviewing several other providers, we elected to go with Clark's for our pest control after moving to South Carolina from Ohio. Brian, the technician arrived promptly and was very informative and helpful. Sarah explained several options available to us and we decided to get a quote on their termite coverage as well. George came out within two days and provided us with a proposal. After weighing our options, we decided to transfer our termite bond over to Clark's as well. They are rated high on Angie's as well as with the BBB and with their customers. We have only been with them a short time, but have been impressed with everyone we have come in contact with so far!

They call ahead of time, show up as scheduled, and go beyond the simple treatment. When our water heater burst they made sure they checked all the areas impacted by the water seepage to ensure that we did not have any termite issues. So far I have been impressed.

The estimator was very punctual. The staff who performed the work showed up on time - and were very, very courteous and did a super job, I would recommend this team to anyone!!! (Kamal ((sp?) and Charlie) Great job! By the way, we have had Clarks for over 14 years to do our termite inspections.

They have always done a good job for us. My husband pays most of the bills. We use them quarterly. They are very responsive and helpful. If something is not right, they will always come back and fix it. The do good quality work, i do not see roaches anymore. They come and sit in the truck and wait for time. They are very professional and well spoken.

Inspection went very well. No termites but made recommendation to remove standing water in crawl space.

I switched to Clark's after many years with another company. The primary reason was that the other company seemed to have a revolving door of personnel, and I wanted some consistency, which Clark's has demonstrated now for many years. For example, for inside pest treatment I prefer the same rep each time, someone who has been in the house and has learned the layout, which is something I prefer not to have to do with a new rep every time. Furthermore, Clark's policy is to treat only outdoors unless there is the need for an inside treatment. Much to my pleasant surprise, the outside-only approach has worked very well for us, and we have rarely had the need for inside treatment. Another preference I have is to be called to schedule a visit rather than for them to simply show up. There is nothing wrong with just showing up, but for personal reasons (including an outside dog) I want to know that someone will be here when they treat. They have respected this wish, and consistently call to schedule each visit. They are almost never even a little late, and often early, in which case they wait for me to arrive or call to ask if earlier is okay. We had a carpenter bee issue with a lot of exterior wood, and Clark's treatment has worked well. We now do that once a year for about $100. As a bonus, it seems to also virtually eliminate the wasp nests that were a big problem for many years. So we do this treatment every April and have no problem with carpenter bees or wasps. We have recently started using Clark's for mosquito treatment under various reasonable pricing plans. This has not been perfect (we live in the woods), but has worked surprisingly well and we plan to continue this service, too. Clark's has been respectful, reliable, and professional, with relatively low turnover of staff. I am happy to recommend them.
