Cassell Brothers Heating & Cooling LLC

Received 2 quotes, one from the air conditioning company I was using when my old unit failed and one from Cassell Brothers who came recommended by a friend who had used them at her house and her parents house. The quote from Cassell Brothers was nearly $2000 cheaper than the other company and was for a system with a higher sear rating and a more respected brand, Trane. I choose Cassell Brothers and they scheduled an appointment for the week following the quote. They arrived on time and were very courteous and respectful. They worked approximately 4 or 5 hours installing and testing the new system. They instructed me on how to use the thermostat and provided paperwork for a mail in rebate from SGE&G that I just needed to sign, attach a receipt, and mail in. Several weeks after installation, I called for them to come back since I thought there was an extraordinary amount of air noise at the return vent and the vents in one of the bedrooms. They agreed and worked with the regional Trane representative to make some settings to the variable speed fan in the air handler. The noise was reduced to well above my expectations while still cooling the house efficiently. There was no charge for this adjustment. Overall I was very pleased with the price, installation, and service so far.

My experience is very good. They were in the neighborhood. They did an installation at a rental home I own and it was excellent work.

After seeing a Cassell advertisement during February in the Sunday paper, I contacted them for details concerning the 14 SEER Trane at a 13 SEER price. I had the pleasure of speaking with Lewis Williams, a very pleasant young man indeed. He visited our home on February 17, and explained the program in detail after which he presented an estimate proposal. While I had additional contacts to make for comparison purposes, I was still swayed by the friendly and personal demeanor of Mr. Williams. To obtain the limited time offer, I knew I was working against the clock and I had numerous other projects concurrently underway. The more I reviewed the proposal and the conduct of Mr. Williams, I concluded that this company was the one I was looking for to complete the transaction and with whom to establish a working relationship. When special financing arrangements were also included, the deal was cemented with another visit by Mr. Williams on February 24 and we proceeded with the installation on February 26. The installation went smoothly from our perspective, although Johnathon and his co-worker may take exception to that. However, they demonstrated extreme care to avoid damaging bushes and an irrigation drip line located in the immediate installation area. Kudos to these folks and we anticipate a lasting business relationship that may involve other installation projects.

I went by the office and shop and talked with Mr. James Cassell, and told him what I wanted, He then sent Lewis Williams over to look at my system and give me an estimate. then set me up in have a new unit installed also a Trane, they did a great job was on time , and did just what I asked for.Mr James Cassell is a great and honest guy , and has a great Company.

They are great. They are always on time, very efficient and do the job that they set out to do. Very good, excellent company.

Our A/C went out on Sat. night and we called around 7:30/8:00 am on Sunday morning to see if they could come out and fix it, because we had my 83 yr. old mother in law out with us and she was unable to handle the heat. They came out about 9:30 am, got the A/C fixed. They were very friendly, professional, and prompt. I would use them again. We were very happy with the job they did.

Made a weekend non-emergency appointment. The technician showed up promptly, found the problem and repaired it quickly.

It turned out great and they were very quick to get out here. They did a great job and it is working out great. I purchased a service plan from them. They came back and took care of a minor adjustment. They were very prompt about calling back and getting out here. I have not had any problems. I think that the price is as good as anybody else. I will probably use them again.

Steve, who came to give me an estimate was very knowledgeable and helped me get the best unit within my budget. They were able to install the new unit the next day. They worked very efficiently and when they left everything was all cleaned up and ready for the hot Columbia summer.

I've used Cassell for a couple of years. They were in to do regular maintenance on my 3 heat pump units. I had had some issues with lack of sufficient heat on my top floor. The Tech found that the heat pump for that area had a bad interior coil. He reviewed the various options with me. I could repair the heat pump I had or use this as my reason to replace and upgrade the system. I took a few days to consider the options, and got Cassell back the following week to replace the coil. Their techs were all polite and knowledgeable. They called 20 min before arriving and arrived on time.

They moved the outside unit to the opposite side of my house to a new location. Removed old air return and replaced with a larger and longer return for better air flow. A new line set, wiring with breakers where needed and a new pad for the outside unit. Up the outside of my house were the new line set and wire were run they covered it with a really nice vinyl cover going up from the outside unit into the attic. They did a great job. Three guys worked appox. 6+ hours and knocked it out quickly, cleanly and the final job was as good if not better than I had hoped for. Great company.

Everything went great! Me and my husband were very impressed (and my husband does not impress easily or often for any ontractors) with the skill level, professionalism, cleanliness, and courteousness of all the technicians who were at our house. They basically had enough technicians out to do everything in one day and they did not leave until they were sure everything was working properly and we were 100% satisfied. We have used a few different heating and cooling companies and did not like any of them compared to this company. We also got at least 3 quotes before going with Cassell where we feel we got the best price for the quality of the system installed. Not only would we recommend using them to anyone but we will be using them as our heating and cooling company from now on as well as any other work they can do for us. I cannot say enough about the importance of skill and professionalism requirements for us as well as not feeling like we got ripped off and they blew us away with how great they were as well as doing all the little things like installing 2 new air vents in 2 rooms that needed them and ensuring our air vents where our air filters go were cleaned out to keep dirt and debris out of the system, which no one has ever bothered to look at before.

We just wished we could find other service people with the competence, fairness and integrity of the Cassell brothers. These are the kinds of business people we knew in our younger years. We are so grateful that there are business people still out there with admirable business practices. Maybe they should go out and teach younger entrepreneurs what used to make America a great country.

It was as painless as could be. Very fast for the install.

They have always been prompt, friendly, up- front about cost and repairs, and extremely professional & trustworthy. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.

We called on a Thursday and they come out on a Monday. They gave an estimate and we went with their recommendation. Runs perfect, cool as a cucumber, and all around great job. If it were not for them we would be worried with the hot SC weather. Sam and his crew were professional, answered all our questions, and said if we ever have a problem all we have to do is call.

I contacted Cassell regarding our upstairs AC unit not cooling effectively. I called one morning and Sam was there by early afternoon. He took his time, explained everything to me (and my husband on the telephone), performed the necessary repairs and services and charged what I consider a reasonable amount. I will definitely use them again.

I was not present at the time of installation , but my wife was and she said they were very nice, and were in and out in a little over 2 hours.

We called several providers for price after researching Angie's list for suggestions. The company we have our HVAC system serviced with quoted us $4300 when we had our new system installed a couple of years ago. Another company, after crawling under house and writing up a proposal quoted us $5000. An independent told us he would do it when he could for $1000 plus cost of material. When we called Cassell Bros, David asked a few details about system and house and told us $2500 and he could do it the next day to which we agreed. (We researched the quality of the materials they were to use and it was the same standard the more expensive folks were said to use.) We also asked about a new moisture barrier and he did that for $500 extra. Rain hampered the start time due to the wet situation under our house but they arrived at 0900 on the agreed upon day and were finished before dark with all trash hauled off. The crew was very professional and all very polite from our limited exposure. David offered to apply for a rebate for us from SCE&G which we hopefully will see soon. The experience was very positive and we would definitely use them again.

They gave me a free second opinion, and their prices were very reasonable. They are professional and were able to get the work done quickly.

Cassell Brothers conducted the HVAC inspection on a home we are purchasing. They were very professional. They arrived on time, conducted a thorough inspection of the HVAC system and even showed my husband around the components of the HVAC system in the home. They were very direct about the charges and clearly explained the issues that they found with the HVAC system. Due to our great experience with them during this inspection we will be purchasing a service pack with Cassell Bros on the house we are purchasing next week.

12/22/12 purchased a Dealsaver for a Winter Check-up of heating system. 12/27/12 went to Cassell website & requested scheduling for anytime after 1/2/13 (this was via email by clicking on "schedule service appointment"). 1/6/13 Sent email to "Dealsaver" about NOT receiving a response from Cassell. 1/7/13 received email from Cassell that Dealsaver said I was having trouble contacting them & please call us or email back to schedule appointment. 1/8/13 responded to email and then called Cassell. Was told they were having problems with their Website & did NOT get my original email. Scheduled servce for 1/14/13 at 9am. 1/14/13 10:39am I had NOT heard from Cassell so I gave them a call. Response was "so sorry, not sure what happened but will have someone there in a few minutes, was on the schedule but "don't know where the ticket went". 1\14\13 11:00am Technician arrived & spent about 35 - 40 minutes performing the maintenance check. He was very nice and seemed to be very competent. At my request he provided a quote for a 1 year maintenance contract. I am currently considering whether to enter into the contract.

If you have a question about someone else's opinion they will come out and give a 2nd opinion at no additional cost. I feel that they completed a very thorough inspection.

Fom the time I called they were professional and pleasant. Good thorough inspection.
