K & K Plumbing

I called K&K Plumbing after FRANK left our home to set up an appointment for the work to be preformed by K&K. I was given an appointment for 8:30am the following Wednesday. I had asked the office rep to have FRANK call me back so we could discuss various options within the job. One week later I still had not heard from FRANK. I called K&K Plumbing this morning to insure that they were going to start our job on Wednesday at 8:30am. The office rep assured me that she had left the work order on FRANKS desk and that he was to call me. FRANK never called. Nor did he do anything with the images he took of our bathroom fixtures. Today, one day before the work was to begin, I called K&K Plumbing to reconfirm that the work was scheduled to begin Wednesday morning. The rep said yes we were on the schedule and that she would text FRANK and have him return my call. FRANK never called the entire day. I called K&K Plumbing back around 5:30pm and FRANK answered the phone. He said we were not scheduled at all, and that no one would be coming to our home to do the work. He said they were busy on service calls and restorations. He claimed he never heard that I wanted K&K to do the work. But according to the office rep, she created a work order a week ago for the job to be done and placed it on FRANK'S desk. I "WOULD NOT" RECOMMENTD THIS COMPANY AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!! Once I finally did speak with FRANK today after office hours he wasn't interested in my concerns at all. He 'appeared' too busy. There were NO apologies of any kind. BAD COMPANY. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!

I had a leak in the attic that was dripping into my kitchen through the ceiling. K&K came right away. Manuel fixed the leak and replaced more than just the leaking pipe with better pipe. All for 100 bucks. Great job!

He came in and asked what I needed done. I showed him and he went right to work. He even asked what else he could fix. Great service.

Victor was very professional and responsed to call within 24 hours.

The plummer was on time and worked about three hours on 3 sinks and 1 disposal.

Overall, a very good experience. K&K Plumbing responded and quickly came out to fix toilet.

We purchased a stainless steel sink and new faucets from a big box off the Island and needed someone to remove the old sink/faucets and hook up the new ones. We had measured the old sink (white composite) and bought the same size in our preferred stainless steel. Victor, from K&K, arrived at the time he was scheduled (something not always experienced on the Island), and was very courteous and knowledgeable. We had taken the sink apart the prior evening and were somewhat concerned that it might be impossible to anchor the stainless steel sink because of the way the underneath side was made (different from the existing sink). We tried to attach the screws and wings ourselves that evening just to see how it was done, without success. After Victor removed the old sink, he told us that the new one wouldn't fit the hole--that the hole needed to be bigger. The underside that we were worried about wouldn't go through. We needed about 1/4" taken off three sides, so Victor could go no further until that was resolved. He left and told us to call back when we got the hole enlarged. We were fortunate to get someone out the next day who was able to skilfully cut a difficult new edge, and re-scheduled Victor for the next day. He returned and finished installing the new sink, securing the underside without a problem. He also re-plumbed the drain and disposal, which was connected with flexible corrugated hose (which had given us problems). Everything looks and works great.

When I called, the office person was very professional, quoted their rates and set up an appointment for the repair to be completed within two days after I called. The day of the repair, they called to confirm, the plumber was prompt, professional and courteous. The repair was quick and easy and the plumber recommended the flashing on the roof be repaired as well. Great job!

I called after checking out A .L. and they arrived within 20 min to repair kitchen sink drain and clean drain with snake machine. Repair took about 40 min.

SERVICE WAS GREAT - FRANK WAS ON TIME AND GAVE WARNING BEFORE ARRIVING OF COST TO FIX. IT WAS ACTUALLY LESS THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE FOR COMING OUT THE SUNDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

Our house is only a year old and we were having a sulphur smell coming out of several sinks. Our builder's plumber wouldn't respond to phone calls so I went to reliable Angie. Called K&K and they were very friendly and easy to set up appointment. The technician was very knowledgable, on time and worked hard to identify the issue. He went over several items and no smell now. Even called his manager to discuss the issue. Learned a lot and will definitely call them the next time we have a problem.

I called for service because I was not getting enough hot water to have even a lukewarm bath. After an initiall assessment, the extremely knowledgeable Frank let me knoow that the upper and lower thermostats and the lower element needed to be replaced. He also informed me these would only be temporary fixes as the water heater was in bad shape. He quoted me a price to replace the water heater, and he also told me of a plan Palmetto Electric has, that would allow me to pay it out monthly. When he quoted a competitor, I was extremely impressed. I authorized the repair work. He had it repaired in no time at a reasonable price. Before he left I let him know that I would probably would replace the water heater right after Christmas, and I would probably use his company because his professionalism impressed me so much.

A great experience from start to finish.

Job was completed by Technician Victor in 15 to 20 minutes. Completely satisfied.

Took them about 3 hours, with two men working diligently. After contacting 2 other companies for estimates - one of which did not get back to me, and the other came out, gave a higher estimate than K&K, but couldn't do the work for another week, I finally thought of calling my go-to plumber, K&K. I was pleased to learn that they did natural gas work. They came out within a couple of days, had to run a new gas line and route it to our new cooktop. The owner, Frank, and one of his men, Keith, worked diligently to get the new line installed and got my new cook top working just like we planned. K&K is tops in our book.

Job went very well and was very professional. We thought the price was a little high, but in fairness we had no comparison until after the fact. We would still use this company in the future because of their responsiveness and quality of work.

KA leak appeared on the ceiling of the master bedroom. The upstairs bathroom obviously was leaking somewhere and messing up the ceiling. After finding K & K on Angie's List, I made the call. The person answering said that he plumber would be there within two hours. About a half hour later, the plumber arrived. Our house was built with copper plumbing and a leak had developed in one of the joints behind the faucet. Since we had a plumber, we showed him every plumbing issue in addition to the upstairs shower leak. After exposing each problem, he called us to look for ourselves and told us the options and let us decide what to do. The double sink in the master bath had leaks and needed new cylinders, however since the fixtures were over 30 years old, he suggested that it might be wiser to get new fixtures and replace the faucets. Additionally the pipes underneath the sinks had the same corrosion build-up at the joints. While saying that he could replace the faucet cylinders and drain covers, he gave us the opportunity to decide if we wanted to do the repairs or go to one of the home repair stores and replace everything. We decided on the replacements, and will have K & K back to install them and replace the pipes under the sink.

The woman who answered the phone was sympathetic and cheerful. K&K sent Victor right away and he was great! He even fixed something else that had been repaired poorly by previous owner. I LOVE these people.

The best plumbers that I have used on the Island, lived here 10 years. After finding them on Angie's List I caled K & K's office, the person that answered was friendly and knowledgeable and gave me an approximate estimate that fit my expected price, she said the work could be done the next day, I scheduled the appointment. Next day right on time 2 plumbers showed up. They introduced them selfs, Bobbie and Victor, and immediatly went to work. Since I'm a retired Architect I observed their work and knew that these plumbers were real pros and knew what they were doing. They got the job done quickly, tested the toilets for leaks and stability, cleaned up the toilet area, took the old toilets and boxes. I will not hesitate to call K & K Plumbing if I ever need a Plumber again, and I will recommend them to other people. Here on Hilton Head Island there are a lot of people doing home repair work, plumbing, electrical, and etc. hireing someone is a hit or miss, K & K Plumbing was a home run. Thanks, Bobbie and Victor you did a great job, and K & K must be proud of you.

When I called the company they sent someone out the same day. Once the problem was identified they ordered appropriate part and then repaired the leak as soon as the part was in.

Young man nice but inept. Paid the bill he presented and then was hit with a bill for an addional $79 a few days later. They did agree to forego the addional charge and were pleasant about it. This is short because the long review I wrote was lost when you returned me to the ratings because I had neglected to fill in one category and I was unwilling to rewrite the whole thing again. Very nice young man but really didn't seem to know much about the problem. Held his hand on the handle until the toilet emptied and then it refilled. I told him to let it go after flushing, as most people do, and then it ran, which was my problem. He put in a new handle from his truck and then it continued running after refilling. He didn't see a problem with that. I insisted on it stopping so he bought another handle/assembly and then it only filled half way. He said, "You don't want too much water anyway." I said yes, I did.Paid him the $127 bill he presented and then received a bill for an addional $79 a few days later. I called and they agreed to forgo the extra. They were pleasant to deal with. 4
