K & K Plumbing

The water heater was fine when it was installed in 2020. However a leak developed recently. This house is a short term rental and the management company reached out to Frank about the issue. He told them that a valve was leaking from the day of installation (I have it in writing). He said that I refused to allow him to drill through drywall for a drain. My understanding is that a water heater should not regularly leak unless there is a problem and we have a drain in the floor for such emergencies. The water heater was placed on a hardwood plank, so obviously a slow leak is not something we want. When I emailed him about fixing the issue, I got some quite bizarre responses and he accused me of lying about something that I have in writing from my management company. Bottom line, I would not recommend this plumber. He is inconsistent and has been quite rude and combative in my dealings with him. Obviously I am finding a different plumber to fix the leak.

I originally called over the July 4th holiday and never got a response. I called again today. The guy answered with a surly "hello". I said my name and he said "Who???" I asked if this was "K&K Plumbing" and he said "Yes, this is K&K" with an implied "you dumb jerk, who do you think you are calling". I told him I wanted some work done and asked if he had been taking a nap, or was busy, because he was giving off a lot of attitude. He said "go call someone else". I guess they have enough business?? it's too bad, have used them in the past and they had been responsive and reasonable.

They were prompt and did a good job.

Despite being EXTREMELY busy they sent someone to address the issues promptly. The plumbers were very courteous and fixed the problems very quickly. I have previously used other plumbers on the island but K&K is by far the best experience I've had.

Called Frank and my timing was great as he was in-between jobs. He was able to stop by in about 30 minutes and had completed the repair in less than an hour. Extremely pleased!

Plumber came on time, quickly assessed problem, explained it well, and fixed it. He had all the parts he needed with him. He was very professional and his price was reasonable. We will definitely use K&K again.

Called K&K Plumbing based on excellent Angie's List reviews. Plumber came out immediately. Informed me that he needed to cut open wall and asked for permission, which I gave him. No evidence of water line leak but flash light from behind wall revealed that shower hardware trim had become lose and separated from the wall and the trim was not caulked as it should have been during installation. Water had made it in to the gaps today and got into the wall. Plumber tightened hardware and caulked gaps. Plumber was very thorough and professional. He showed my wife and me what he found and explained everything completely. We are extremely happy with K&K Plumbing. We were very happy with the price especially since this was on a Saturday night.

It was well done for a reasonable cost.

Went very well, was on time and completed the work on the trap, than noticed our faucet was not good said we should get a new one before it broke.

Great! Called Friday afternoon and scheduled repair for early Monday morning. Victor arrived on time and completed the job quickly and professionally.

I called K and K Plumbing at 830am on Monday and they said they would be to my house by 1pm since there were 2 customers ahead of me. Then they actually arrived at 930- which was great! I told them my problem, they began running the snake thru my system, had me turn on my water inside and as I watched the outside pipe began to drain. They were beyond prompt, very quick and nice and professional. I couldn't have been more pleased. Already made them a contact in my phone because I will use them again.

AAAAAA++++ very prompt was here about 20 mins. After contact!! He was finishing a job and coming here. He taught me a lot about how this stuff works!! Highly recommend and look forward to working with him in the future!! I wish I caught his name!! (If you K&K read this please let me know the gentlemans name! It would be much appreciated- I would like to send him something for his help! He was just here moments ago in the point comfort area. He was here for approx. 15-20 min. And showed me my water main and how it works when there is a leak. Thanks in advance!)

Frank Kyle and his crew did a great job installing our water heaters. Frank visited our home to inspect our attic site and offered us a fair quote to install our (2) 50 gallon water heaters. They were prompt, efficient, and did a quality installation. In our opinion, this is a outstanding plumbing contractor who does exactly what he says he is going to do and he is one h*** of a nice guy as well. He even went out of his way to tighten a retaining ring under a faucet in our guess bathroom which was not part of our quoted part of our original quote, and did not charge us for the work. My wife and I would highly recommend Frank and K&K Plumbing Inc. to any prospective customer because they did a great job for us and were a pleasure to deal with when installing our water heaters.

Great. Fixed correctly and in a timely manner

K&K was scheduled to come on Friday. They said they would come earlier if they could, but they would not come without calling first. K&K will tell you they left a message, but that is not true they never left a message. I scheduled another plumber highly recommended to try them to determine if I like them better than K&K. The other plumber was scheduled for the Thursday before K&K wad to come. K&K came a day earlier and without notice. I planned to cancel the service with K&K later that Thursday. K&K chose to charge me a $47.50 service call. There was zero customer focus in the way they handled this. We are having additional plumbing work done and I would have asked them to provide an estimate except for the way they handled this incident. I paid the $47.50, but K&K lost the opportunity for more than a $1,000 worth of additional work for $47.50. I was satisfied with the work K&K had previously performed to replace a toilet. but not with the way they handled this. In this case they were wrong to charge the $47.50. A total lack of customer focus with a previous customer.

I have used K and K Plumbing for many service calls. They are very professional and always complete the work required at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Called on Saturday afternoon after tenant called about kitchen sink leaking. Frank asked for a detailed email with address and time to call. It was agreed that he'll work us in on Monday, however unbeknown to me he called my tenant and made arrangements to see him on a Saturday!. Charged me a very fair price and had the problem solved and fixed within an hour. The joy was, he said "no problem we'll send you a bill, just pay it when you get it" that's OLD SCHOOL service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or his company to anyone needing a service first plummer. Triple A++++ from us! Thank you for your customer service.
