Joe was great and we are so happy we used him! I wasn't completely sure that the first house we had chosen had been well maintained and Joe's inspection confirmed my concerns. Based on his detailed and thorough inspection we decided not to purchase the home. We then used him to inspect the home we finally ended up purchasing. Joe is extremely thorough in his inspections and he spent several hours at the house performing the inspection. He provides detailed reports and is extremely helpful in answering questions. He was very responsive and got appointments scheduled quickly. He was also very nice to work with and answered questions for me after the inspection which helped me feel very comfortable that i had made the right decision. I will definitely use Joe again if the need arises and have already recommended him to a few people.

We will definitely use Joe's service again! He performed an awesomely thorough inspection. Despite being a little under the weather, he still showed up and delivered! We built a new home and he was able to find so many defects that may have resulted in a catastrophe had we not used his service. Although the builder expressed negative remarks toward the report, they are in the process of fixing all the items from Joe's report. Their (the builders') inspectors did not find any of these items or just signed off anyway. Alpha & Omega Home Inspections is a business with integrity. I encourage anyone looking to have a home inspection(s) performed on their home to use Joe's service. You will not be disappointed. You will actually learn a few things along the way!

We are so thankful we found Joe as our inspector on Angie's list. We initially chose him based on the high ratings & reviews and we could not have been more pleased with the service he provided. This will be our first home purchase out of state and Joe performed an extremely thorough home inspection for us. Even though we were not able to attend the inspection in person, he was able to discuss his findings at the end of the inspection with us. We were also able to speak with him at length after reviewing his report with follow up questions. He took the time to explain the items that concerned us and always made sure that we knew we could always call him if we had further questions! It was really helpful as we were able to ask him more detail for which items we could DIY and which ones required a licensed contractor, as well as which items were incorrect but common. We were able to determine the scope of all the major repairs that needed to be done after speaking with him. Ultimately, we decided to walk away from the purchase because of his findings. His reports are very detailed and educational. We really appreciate the diagrams/pictures/links. It is much easier to see what is wrong when he adds a picture next to it that shows it correctly done and explains why it is done a certain way. We trust Joe and completely recommend him! We will definitely be using him for the next home we find.

We decided to hire Joe a second time based upon our experience with him during our first home inspection (there is a previous review on Angie's List detailing that inspection). Without recounting all of the details (most of which are mere restatements of the previous review as applied to a different property), Joe was just as professional and effective as he was during our first inspection and we are very glad that we hired him for our second inspection.

Joe did a very thorough job on 2 inspections for me. I suspect he found items that few other inspectors would have noticed whether as issues or for FYI. Would recommend him to anyone wanting a quality inspection.

Joe did home inspection for our home which was nearly 4500 sq ft. It took him approx 5.5 hrs along with inspection in crawl space. First of all Joe is very professional and though he was running only 10 min late , he sent me a text about it. He knows the code inside out and the report which he gives you is fantastic.He also did the thermal imaging at house to find if there were issues. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend the same to anyone. One thing which I would really like to see is that if he can team up with a general contractor who can then give an estimate as how much $$ it would cost in repairs based on his report would be a great benefit to customers.

Joe responded to our initial inquiries quickly. He provided a very thorough inspection and patiently pointed out and explained all of his findings. His expertise in many areas was impressive. Very professional and provided a thorough report as well as a summary. We plan on using his services again.

Joe truly embodies the ideal qualities you would want from all professionals offering their services. He was prompt, personable, and most importantly thorough. He has a very detailed process that he follows but takes the time to point out details as they should be vs just passing building code requirements. His vast knowledge, experience, and background as a code inspector really helped grow my knowledge about the home and gave me confidence in presenting the fixes to the builder. As Joe would say, 'There is no such thing as a perfect home' and he was right even with new construction. In the end, his report was made available to me electronically and ahead of the quoted completion time. Truly, this was money well spent and I plan to use Joe's services again.

Joe was fantastic to work with during the home inspection process. He answered emails quickly (and on the weekends). We were in a serious time crunch. When he had a cancellation, he fit us in. Joe is a through inspection of the house and was fantastic at explaining his findings. Unlike many inspection reports, this report is easy to read and understand. The summary page makes an excellent "to do" list. The infrared imagining is extremely helpful. It is comforting to know how and where the house is insulated. Joe was punctual and professional. When we buy a house in the future, we would use him again.

This was the second time in less than a month we have used Joe. The first time he identified issues with the house we were going to buy that were significant and we were able to terminate the transaction. We hired Joe again to inspect the second house we found and he again made good comments on issues that the seller will need to fix, but no deal killers this time. But I can sleep well knowing that this new house is sound after Joe's inspection.

My wife and I hired Alpha & Omega home inspections to inspect a home that we were considering purchasing. As I am an attorney and my wife is a pharmacy technician, we needed someone who would not only perform a thorough inspection but would also teach us the finer points of quality home construction. We chose Joe after comparing his website and credentials to several other home inspectors in the area, and we are very glad that we did. We let Joe know about our lack of construction knowledge at the outset of the inspection and he went out of his way to insure that we not only knew what was wrong with the property, but also how the issue was caused, and what the ramifications were. By the end of the inspection, my wife and I were essentially taught a class on what to look for in a house. Because of Joe's schedule (he insists on only performing two inspections per day), he stayed at the property well after the inspection was finished to make sure that we understood all of his initial findings and that all of our questions were answered. Joe delivered his report promptly and it was both thorough and informative. Some parts of it were even educational as they provided a useful supplement to further explain what we had discussed during the inspection. Ultimately, after considering the report, my wife and I elected to walk away from the property. However, we have used what we learned from Joe to examine subsequent properties and have eliminated a few based upon that information. To be fully candid, it is true that Joe is more expensive than most home inspectors. However, considering that we left the inspection knowing far more about home construction than when we arrived, and considering that Joe did not rush or demean us in any way due to our lack of construction knowledge, we felt he was well worth the price we paid and plan to use him for the next property that we consider purchasing.

Awesome. He saved us from buying a house that was going to cost us thousands in the near future to fix. There were probably $30k of costs that would have been needed to fix all the MAJOR items that were found. He is detailed and knows the code inside and out. I actually WILL be using him again because we have already found another home that we are negotiating for.

Joe is absolutely fantastic!!! My wife and I feel very fortunate to have had him do 2 home inspections for us. He is extremely thorough and you can tell that he takes a lot of pride in doing a great job. He responded to our emails and phone call quickly. He was punctual to both inspection appointments. He was very professional and did an excellent job. Bottom line if you want the job done right and would like to have some peace of mind when making that all important home buying decision then, without a doubt, Joe is the person to call. He is worth every single penny.

I contacted Joe to get an inspection quote. At first he was very nice (through email) and very thorough when answering questions. My wife and I are only available on weekends to be present during the inspection as we both work full time 8-5 jobs. He said he does not work weekends. This was completely fine with us, as we know everyone has to have time off. However, when we informed him we were going with another service that could work on the weekend, he became a complete jerk and told us he works all week too (implying we should never expect a person to work weekends). He may do a great job inspecting homes but he needs a good lesson in dealing with people and customer service.

Joe was great. I have used other inspectors and they don't come close to joe! D yourself a big favor and use him. He doesn't miss anything. He is very helpful and informed.

After reading many reviews on Angie's list, I decided Joe was the one I wanted for my home inspection. As other reviewers stated, Joe is meticulous, punctual, professional and very detail oriented. I called him on a Thursday and he met me the following Tuesday for the inspection. We were looking at on older home and Joe's careful inspection of the property brought to light many important issues that we needed to consider before we committed to the house. Joe takes his work very seriously and he doesn't miss a thing. He also arranged for the termite inspection, which was very convenient. I highly recommend Joe's services and I will definitely use him again as we ended up passing on the house.

He did a good job. He was very responsive and easy to work with. I did not meet him because I live in Arizona and the inspections were performed in North Carolina. He was very thorough. When I called him afterwards, he answered all of my questions. I would use his services again.

I did not go through with purchasing this property. He was professional, on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. It is on the higher end of being pricey. I believe that if someone is discerning and wants a thorough examination to ensure the right results, that price is worth paying.

Joe provides an excellent service. He is professional, polite, thorough and I highly recommend his services. I called him on a Monday and he was able to inspect my new home the next day. His inspection report was quite detailed, and I was impressed with the knowledge he has of building code and recalls/lawsuits involving everything from electric panel breakers to flexible gas lines. He utilized digital photos very well (they could be lightened up just a tad in the report) and he has the ability to mark them up with arrows and boxes. He is so efficient that he was able to get the full report to me within a couple hours of completing the inspection...truly a first for me! He even set up a termite inspection for me.

Joe did a thorough and professional job inspecting a home we are under contract to purchase. We found him to be courteous, knowledgeable and experienced. He patiently explained the elements of his inspection as he completed each section and talked us through potential problems and repairs. His report was available less than 24 hours after the inspection (full report and summary report), which was very helpful. To explain my two "good"/B rather than "excellent"/A elements (price and punctuality): His price was a bit higher (~$50 more) than other inspectors that I considered for inspection of the property. The high quality of his previous reviews on Angie's List, and his availability to do the inspection on a Saturday, made me comfortable paying the additional money. He also arrived late to the inspection appointment (early in the morning on a Saturday). However, this did not inconvenience me (I was scheduled to arrive after the start of his inspection; it worked out that we all arrived at the same time). Update 7/18/13: We hired Joe to do a reinspection of the property after the seller completed a long list of repairs. Joe was thorough and detail-oriented in his reinspection. In addition, the roofer completing some repairs on the roof told me he was impressed with our inspector's report with regards to the condition of the roof. He said that Joe had spotted nail pops and other issues with the roof that most inspectors would not bother getting close enough to see. We were very pleased with Joe's work on the inspection and reinspection and would hire him again for any future inspection needs.

Joe did an excellent job inspecting the home we are going to purchase. He made us well aware of all potential issues and did a very thorough job looking at every detail. The entire process took about 4 hours, but the end result was well worth it. I would use Joe again without a doubt and would recommend him to a friend. The best part was that we had our report in less than 24 hours after the inspection which was great.

Was able to schedule on short notice for a Saturday afternoon. Showed up on time. Thorough inspection that validated the quality of the builder we selected. Issues found were reported with enough supporting documentation that the builder chose to fix all of the major issues and most of the minor ones! We plan to hire Joe again for our Radon test and final inspection.
