Prompt service. They came out once but a severe thunderstorm prevented them from working on the outside unit. Came back the next day and made the repairs. Price was reasonable.

We've been having our old Heat and A/C systems (split system) maintained by Berkeley Heating and Air. One of the old units kept having issues so we opted for a new Carrier replacement unit with Berkeley Heating and Air since they've been servicing our systems for a couple of years. Choosing the unit was easy. Alan was friendly yet professional and gave us 3 unit choices. When the day came to actually do the work, we were rained out. We scheduled for the next day. The team arrived promptly and worked all day long. Later in the day we went up into the attic and the work looks neat and clean. We're thrilled with the entire process!

It was fine, they were very good. They were on time, courteous, and very nice to deal with.

Awesome company!! They put a new system in for us in 2006. They offered a warranty, which I recommend anyone to take advantage of as we did. The warranty was still covered in 2014 for all repairs made to the unit. Repairs were done quickly and the worker was so nice. What a relief for us! So impressed with this company! When the time comes for a new unit, I'll be sure to use them again.

Although it was hard to get a scheduled day at first, due to my and their schedules A week later.When they came they did exactly what was asked and did not do the usual."Oh by the way you need a new system" like the other ac companies do.My light bill has dropped 100 dollars this month and all the rooms are comfortable.Way to go...Berkeley Heat and air.I got lucky though not having more of these wonderful cleanings before and the unit was ok.Thanks again Berkeley Heat and air. They did what they did appropriately, timely and very inexpensively quote than the other company that was very outrageously high. They're very quickly, expeditiously prices I found in our collection than any other company. I would use them again in the future.

The Provider was unable to provide service under the "deal" that I purchased due to an additional problem that was discovered once the technician made the service call for the a/c unit. I was called by the tech and he explained to problem to me. I called the office for additional information and the cost for the repair. It was not in my budge to get the repair at that time. They gladly and promptly gave me a refund. Once my budget allows, I will call them back for the repair. I was very pleased with the way the situation was handled. Thanks Berkley.

I bought a deal to do maintenance check and tune-up for 69$. Scheduling was very easy and efficient. The Berkeley rep., Marshall, arrived at the minute he said he would. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the systems and did what seemed to be a very thorough job. He ended up replacing a lot of Freon in a really old unit. I like it that he didn't suggest to do the same for another unit that had only a slight drop in pressure. A technician from Air Plus wanted to load up that unit with some Freon last year. There was one thing that he did not do. I have no experience whatsoever in the trade, bit I sensed that something was wrong and I called the office. The supervisor agreed to address this promptly and sent someone the same day to fix it. Overall, while nobody is perfect, the experience was very positive and I would be happy to call them in the future and recommend their services.

The new unit was installed. The technicians built a deck for the unit to sit on, hauled the old deck away and left my yard neat and clean. I would recommend this company to someone that wants quality service. The price is a little high to me, but I am very frugal, however, we have an extended warranty. I am looking forward to this winter to see how our electric and gas bill run. As of now, I am enjoying the comfort of the new unit in this awful humid climate! I pray our new unit continues to give us great service for years to come! I should add, I picked this company because it has been in the Charleston area a very long time and Mr. Allen, the sales rep was very helpful!

I have an annual agrement with them. They come twice a year. They are very thorough and they did a good job. They were on time.

Firm replaced one of two heat pumps on two-story house (they replaced the other unit two years before). Sales person was courteous and helpful. Installation crew was also courteous and helpful. Installation was not rushed (first installation had been somewhat rushed based on one crew member having car trouble getting to work). All personnel appeared knowledgeable, honest, and working to have a good reputation for the firm. Recommended.

The rep from Berkeley Heating and Air was Andrew. He was very professional and personal from the very beginning and always willing to take my calls.... even returning our call on a Saturday. He explained the unit he proposed very well, the problems with our existing unit and how it was installed and also was good in lining up someone to clean our ducts after the job had been performed. He never did pressure us while we were narrowing our choices. The installation crew showed up on the day and the time which we were told they would. They answered all our questions and were very courteous as well. They were very good about explaining what they were doing and what their thought process was. They never tried to oversell us and constantly checked on us throughout the job process. After installation, we had a problem arise that was not really connected with the installation and Andrew had a tech by the name of "T" come out. He was great and performed the job that everyone else said could not be done.

I've had three HVAC units at two houses installed by Berkeley. They did a great job. The installers are quiet, thorough, and efficient. I recently had an issue with one of the units that was installed about a year and a half ago. It was clear that the problem was related either to the installation or to a Carrier defect. In any case, Berkeley stepped up and agreed to fully cover the costly repair.

We got them from Angie's List and they were great. They took care of the problem. A problem came back afterwards, they came back immediately and resolved it and we've had no problem since. It was two trips out. They got out here quickly and took care of the problem. It did not take them long to diagnose it and they had everything in their truck to fix it right then and there. They didn’t have to go back to the shop or three days to wait for a part to come in, they had exactly what they needed to replace the motor. They were local. They got here the same day we called. They were quick, efficient and reasonably priced. They were precisely here when they said they were going to be here.

My wife and I woke up on a Saturday morning and noticed our home was warmer than usual. A quick check of the thermostat confirmed this. While it wasn't Summer in Charleston yet, we had no desire to sleep in a house with 80+ degree temps. We wanted immediate attention. I pulled up Angie's List and searched for an A/C repair company. Berkeley Heating & Air Conditioning was the top-rated result. I was thinking this will be the first of many calls before I can even schedule someone to come to my house sometime next week. Nope. A very nice lady answered the call and promised a technician would call me in the hour. Sure enough. Clay called me in less than an hour and told me he'd be at our home in 30 minutes. He was true to his word. In less than an hour after he arrived he had troubleshot the issue and had repaired the problem. He even had parts on hand. The price charged was fair and from this point on I will only call Berkeley Heating & Air Conditioning for any A/C problems we have.

The date may be off by a few days. The service person was very professional. The upstairs unit was not maintanced due to the condition and age of the unit, however I was charged the $69 maintance fee. That afternoon I was told a sales person would be calling me to set up an appointment to give a quote on a new system. The sales person called within the hour, I was not able to confirm a date or time during the call. I asked for a return call the following week on a Tuesday or Wednesday. A week and a half went by, I called the company and asked why I was charged for two units when the service person was only able to perform maintance on one unit. The personal I was speaking with stated, "Oh, I remember your invoice, I am the one who processed it and wondered why he did that. Her tone was very casual and that it was not a big did that this happened. She did refund the $69 to my card. I then explained the situation about the sales person, she assured my I would receive a call within 24 hours, it has been over a week and I have not received a call. Sorry, but another company now has my business and $6,000 for a new unit.

Very professional and would use this company again. On time and did as advertised for their special.
