Description of Work: They explained what they were going to do, examined and cleaned the exterior a/c condenser then opened the heating unit and cleaned it. They noticed it wasn't draining fast enough and searched to find the problem and remedy it. They cleaned the duct and installed one of my new air filters. They explained what they did. They gave me recommended maintenance schedule

Description of Work: They were nice and cooperative and did not try to sell me a new AC---which is good. I have no complaints--nor do I expect if I have a breakdown of a 16 year-old system that it would be their fault. I used them for a condo I own as well--so that is another indication.

Description of Work: They came out for routine A/C maintenance, discovered an issue with Freon overcharging. He did a good job, but did not follow up with the additional service date, as discussed. A/C is doing better, but still not great. Not sure if the problem is totally fixed.

Description of Work: I contacted Berkeley heating and air for an estimate for an air conditioner replacement for my second floor. The tech showed up on time, dressed professional and I communicated what I needed. He ewnt half way up the ladder and didn't inspect the unit or the duct work. He also never even looked at the register which a different company had informed me was the wrong size. So,if I had taken him at face value, I would have ended up with a wrong size uit, duct that needed to be repaired and a register that was still too small. The tech did not do his job properly and I would have paid five thousand dollars for a mistake. |

Description of Work: My A/C was not working. The first serviceman showed up and had to de-ice the whole unit being careful not to overflow the upstairs pan. He cleaned out the drains but could not complete service due to ice on the unit. The second serviceman came out the next day and completed the repairs after the unit had thawed. Great guys great service. I am signing up for regular inspections.

Description of Work: I have been using Berkeley Heating for a long time, and have been well pleased with their service and products. However, recently they repaired my AC system and damaged the insulation, which resulted in moisture damage to the underlying sheet rock ceiling. They did make repairs to the AC, but management was rude and very unprofessional. They were slow to return multiple phone calls. And apparently did not want to repair the damaged ceiling. As they were slow to repair the extensively damaged ceiling, I found a contractor that could quickly make the repairs. Berkeley agreed to the price prior to starting work, but, when the work was complete they wanted to pay only a small portion of it. Other than poor management the workers have been excellent.
