Description of Work: David Kline came to our house & conducted a chimney inspection. He took photos & gave me a presentation of his findings at the end of his inspection. My chimney is not functional as it is and I hope to have a wood stove installed by Chim Cheree. I was impressed with David's professionalism & would recommend his company to anyone.

Description of Work: Replaced chimney cap that had been blown off chimney by a tree limb. They did an interior and exterior of the chimney and told us of some minor repair issues with the brickwork. All in all the job went smoothly.

Description of Work: These guys are great! I had a chimney leak problem, and saw one of their YouTube videos and decided to contact them to get some information, even though I live far away from them (they are in South Carolina; I'm in NY). My local chimney guy messed up, and I needed some professional advice. David Kline sent me a ton of good information, and worked with me to help diagnose the problem and provide suggestions for a fix, even though he wasn't going to make any money off of the job. I'd highly recommend them!

Description of Work: Chim Cheree is a fabulous company that has been around for several decades. To say that they were "professional" is almost an understatement! They examined the chimney from inside the house as well as from the roof, took very detailed photos of both, did whatever work they declared to be necessary efficiently and thoroughly -- and (almost) the best part was that all the photos that were taken, plus a detailed written explanation of both the work done and why, and a prognosis of things to keep an eye on to forestall future problems . . . all of this was, right in their superbly equipped van and while one of the two men was still working inside, copied on a DVD (all the before-and-after photos) and printed up for me in an impressive folder. Then both sat down with me to explain verbally and in detail the entire process and their professional opinion of the overall condition of my chimney. Sorry I don't remember how much I spent (not the above "o,oo") -- but for the time spent and the thoroughness of the work, it was, if anything, "just right" or even on the modest side. Their fee was actually explained to me ahead of their appointment.

+ -1 moreThe workers were professional and showed up on time. They cleaned the inside of the chimney and were very neat. They also checked the outside of the chimney thoroughly. They went over their evaluation of our chimney with photos to explain what they found. They, made suggestions on additional fixes (such as cap replacement and rework of chimney top brick to prevent water ingress) including pricing and timing to be considered (now, in a year, etc.) without being too pushy about selling us additional services.
Description of Work: We recently bought an older house with a wood burning fireplace. The previous owner appeared to have burned wood from the trees behind the house in the fireplace. We had the chimney swept to ensure we would not have any problems if we used it this winter.

They are very professional. They protected all the items in my home from soot. They usually come out on request annually but sometimes every other year depending on usage. They call and remind me when it is time to get serviced.
