Dan said he would email the estimate and as of 6/27 it has not been received. I reminder him with a voice mail on 6/24 but it seems that did not help. UPDATE: I am changing my review from bad to good. I previously stated that I did not receive the estimate. It appears that there was a communication problem with my email address and I now have the estimate. Thanks for following up

We scheduled an appointment to get a quote. A Timbertech expert stopped by but we didn't get a quote for 3 weekes. I emailed them a few days ago asking for a quote and they didn't even respond... waste of time... try somebody else

They came right out to give me a quote. Had the written quote within a day. Price was great. They did work us in due to a pool being scheduled to be put in within a week. Deborah who answers the phone couldn't be any nicer. The guys that came out had the tree down and the back yard clean within two hours. I think the yard was cleaner after they left than before they got there. I couldn't be any happier and so thankful that they fit us in. I would highly recommend them.

They came to the house and promptly took down two dead trees and cut the wood in lengths and stacked them for us.

We needed a very large hickory tree removed from near our house due to a planned addition. The tree was so large that I wanted to make sure that whoever we hired not only had liability insurance but also worker's compensation insurance in case one of the workers became injured. This is something many people forget to ask about but can come back to haunt you if things go wrong. Anyway, Timbertech carries both and was also competitive in price with many smaller outfits that don't carry either (smaller companies with < 5 employees are not required to carry worker's comp in SC). Anyway, when Danny came out to quote on the tree, he was very careful to talk with us about which way the tree would come down to do the least amount of damage to nearby trees. He thought he could bring the tree down in pieces and quoted it as such. When he came to do the actual work he determined that the tree was dead at the top and he didn't feel safe climbing it to piece it down. So he dropped it straight down. He made sure to drop it towards another tree that was already dead. That tree came down too. He took the time to go ahead and clean up that tree and grind that stump as well, in addition to the tree he had quoted for us. And he didn't even charge us for that. When it was all done, the stumps were gone and you'd never know the trees had been there. Even though he had to carry the trees out with a piece of heavy equipment, the damage to my yard was not as bad as I thought it would be. All in all, I am very pleased with Timbertech's work and the care that they took in my yard. I have a backyard full of trees and he will be my first call if any others need to be removed.

They were punctual. They did what they said they would with the trees and cleaned up. There were no issues.

Because I had a very small job, this was a "work in" job for them. So I understand it didn't get the attention of a more sizable job. Still I had to contact them 3 times after I received the bid on the initial visit, the work wasn't done in the originally specified time, and calls were not returned. On balance the job was done well and by very nice fellows. I would use them again, especially for a larger job.

Danny was very pleasant to work with and kept me up to date with his availabilty as we moved into our new home. I had anticipated that there would be work to do and had advised Danny that living with an HOA there would be a delay. That didn't bother him, he was prepared to give me an estimate for free and then wait to do the work. When he looked at the trees he was honest enough to say that he didn't think there was any urgency to any of the issues I raised. He described work and possible costs but suggested that we take a wait and see position for now.

They were very professional and cleaned up. The price was good.

This provider was called on 2 different occasions for an estimate. The first time I called, I left a voice mail and was called back a couple days later and was told that they would come to my residence to look at large tree I wanted removed and call me or email me the estimate. Neither ever took place. I then for some reason decided to call them back and left another voice mail to call me and again no call back. Being a manager of a business locally I realize there are plenty of other businesses that my customers can give their hard earned money to so I make sure that myself or my employees have enough decency to call potential customers back in a timely manner to show that we want to earn their business. Obviously these guys do not have the same business sense so I feel if they can't even follow up with me (a customer that would like to provide them business) they do not deserve my business. As a consumer I do expect a certain level of professionalism and promptness and yes my hard earned money will go elsewhere.BTW... Business 101....appreciate a potential new customer and seize every opportunity.

The estimation process was smooth and easy. I called to inquire about an estimate and Ian visited us that same afternoon. Once we settled on TimberTech to provide the service, I called back and they scheduled an appointment for approximately a week later, which suited our timeline. The crew arrived on time and commenced their efforts, promptly and courteously completing most of the work expected, but omitted a couple of items on the list of work to which we agreed. Once this was reported to TimberTech, they sent a crew the following day to remedy the outstanding items. Overall, TimberTech was responsive and their work appears to be of good quality (I'm no arborist). Just be sure that a thorough list of all work to be done is included in your estimate, and these folks will take good care of you.

The company was friendly and responsive when I called to schedule the estimate for tree service. The gentleman doing the estimate was very nice and arrived promptly. I got 3 estimates on tree service, and he didn't seem as knowledgable, but perhaps it was that he didn't feel it necessary to talk details. The one thing that was the kicker for me,though, was that on this chilly afternoon, he left me standing out in my yard for 10 minutes or so while he talked on his cell phone. It appeared as though this was routine, not an emergency situation, and I found it very unprofessional. Timbertech might be a great tree service, but the cell phone call totally turned me off. (note, of the 3 estimates I got, this was the highest).

I called Timbertech and asked them to give me an estimate to have the tree cut down into firewood length logs and the stump removed. Danny from Timbertech came out within several days while I wasn't home, and he called with questions. He asked whether I really wanted the firewood, or whether I was asking for the firewood length logs because I was trying to save money. He followed up by saying he was asking this because it was more work for him to cut it into pieces that short than it was for him to cut it into big pieces and haul it off. I told him that both reasons motivated me: I wanted the firewood and I thought it would be cheaper. He said this was a bad idea both because it would be more expensive and because the poplar would make bad firewood. He suggested that I have him haul the tree off, and that if I wanted the firewood, he would bring me a dumptruck full of firewood length oak logs when he came to cut down the tree. I said that sounded good, so that is what he estimated. I was impressed with Danny--he was obviously very smart, and he seemed straightforward and concerned with his work. I got 3 estimates on the job, and this was the cheapest by far: $2100, $1600, and then Timbertech at $1200. A fourth company even said the job was too difficult for them to try to tackle. I went with Timbertech. They came out the next week while I was at work, and when I got home from work the tree was gone and there was a huge pile of oak logs where I'd asked him to put them. I'd asked them if they could deal with my dogs by putting them into a sidepen while they worked and then letting them back out afterwards and they said they were happy to as long as they were nice dogs. The only thing wrong was the stump was still there. I called about a month later and asked about both the stump and the bill, since they hadn't billed me. Danny said he hadn't billed me because he hadn't finished the job, and explained that they had run out of time that day and hadn't been able to reschedule. He asked if I still wanted the stump removed or if I wanted to just pay the price without the stump, which was about $200 less. I said I still wanted the stump removed, so he came out that week and did it, and then billed me. Despite the slowness with the stump removal, I was extremely impressed with Timbertech. They did the main part of the job I wanted very well and very fast, and at the lowest price. Of every company I have dealt with to work on my house, I am most pleased with Timbertech. I highly recommend them.

I contacted TimberTech, and Mike showed up on time with plenty of helpful suggestions. Paul is due to come out to look at our other trees. Mike and his crew showed up today to take down two dangerous trees, and we were extremely impressed. We have a difficult driveway and were impressed how the crew was able to get the truck up the drive without damaging anything whatsoever. They cleaned up the area, and it looked better when they left than when they came. TimberTech is definitely our long-term tree company.

Timbertech is the most professional tree service I've worked with. Their prices are fair and reasonable. They have excellent equipment and work h****** the job. They have performed several jobs including a tree removal up close to the house. They always clean up. My experiences have all been very positive. They recommended a tree care specialist for expertise that was beyond their scope to deal with a stressed tree in my back yard.

My husband and I were out of town on a Friday night when we got a call that the large tree in our front yard was damaged in a storm and fell on our house - our roof and part of the side of the house were damaged. We called our insurance company from the airport, and called Timbertech as soon as we were back in town on Saturday morning. Timbertech came out right away and looked at our damage, then proceeded to work on the tree removal immediately. It was a relief to have them get started so quickly because more storms were in the forecast, and we were worried about water damage (because of the large hole in the roof.) The work was performed in a timely manner, and very professionally. Timbertech also helped us with the paperwork we had to file for our insurance company. They were experienced and able to share their knowledge. It was a relief to work with such an excellent company during a very stressful time.

We had this done after an ice storm, which damaged some of our elm & maple trees. It took several hours to do the work & they cleaned up the debris well after themselves. Our trees have been flourishing ever since.
