My air conditioning units were freezing up. Once this occured I would have to turn the units off for a few hours to thaw them before they would work again. I called Authorized Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. this morning and they had someone at my house this afternoon. Matt was professional and courteous. He diagnosed the issue quickly and started repairs. Both units were low on refrigerant. He got that back to where it needed to be, cleaned the outdoor units and flushed the drainage lines. He discussed the overall health of the system with me and laid out options for the future since the units are aging. As an engineer I love finding out how things work and Matt was great about answering all my questions as he worked. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Thanks Matt.

Our heater went out and after searching Angie's List we contacted Authorized Heating & Air. Ron came out when he said he would and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed a burned out contacter in the outside unit and came out the next day to replace it, as well as install a programmable thermostat and check the overall health of the systems. He wore shoe covers each time he came into the home and was very personable and helpful. Call him with full confidence!

We brought a whole new system from them three years ago and it cost $15000. Through ups and downs several of their technicians were bad and there were some problems with the units every single season but they eventually did work it out. They know now that we accept the best technician who comes. They know that we have stuck with them and we pay our bills on time. So we are not trying to cheat them or not trying to get it fixed for free or anything like that. Once we got everything worked out everything is okay. It was rough for some time and we talked to the owner and finally he realized to treat us better. It has worked out well now.

We always ask for Matt. He's great. He's punctual and professional. He's trustworthy. I don't think we're being ripped off in any way, shape or form.

We first called on Monday. A service tech came first thing Tuesday and diagnosed the problem. He returned early on Thursday to do the job. He was clean and neat, professional and knowledgeable. The work done is warrantied for one year, parts and labor.

They are awesome. We've used them many times over the years. They are really good to deal with. Their employees are awesome. They are on time and know what they are doing. They don't try to sell us something that we don't need and they tried to keep what we had running. When they give a price on something, we can go back 8 months later and they keep the price that they gave us previously. They are really good people. Their prices are really competitive.

My mother was using them. They did not do the initial of what we had when we first built our home. My mother was using them and was very happy with and their service. We called them when we had to change from the heat pump to the gas pump. It was word of mouth from the family. I like their promptness, professionalism, and value. They don’t try to squeeze your opinion. They try to give you advice If you have to get something major done to the system they would advice you on that. They are very consciousness to help their customers. The man who comes to service the A/C always asks me about the well being of my parents and us. They are very personable. They are very respectful about the seniors. He is very careful and respectful about the property. We really like him a lot. He is very nice. I would use them again in the future.

Excellent job. Very pleased with the work and advice they provided. Authorized Heating and Air did a very professional job. We requested three quotes from other companies before we selected them. We previously used angies list for a furnace replacement two years ago and had Authorized heating and air do that job. Based on competitive bids we selected Authorized because of 1. Previous high quality work they did for us. 2. Only company to suggest solutions that were reasonable to make changes to correct a problem with the upstairs units 3. Pricing was very competitive. 4. Provided a solution to lowering our utility bills ( gas and electric) 5. Manage all the rebates for us. The results speak for themselves: The equipment they installed has reduced our electricity consumption for our home 50% comparing the first 6 months of 2011 to 2010. The upstairs of the home is now VERY comfortable. If anyone asks us who to use to replace, service or upgrade HVAC we will for sure recommend Authorized Heating and Air

Air conditioner quit working after a thunderstorm. Called Authorized who came out on a Saturday morning to check the system. The compressor had shorted due to a power surge. The rep made a report, gave me a complete estimate to replace the unit, and suggested I submit the report to my insurance company. The insurance covered the entire cost (less deductible). The work was scheduled to begin between 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning. Received a call about 8:45 and work started shortly after. The system was replaced and functioning perfectly before 12:30. Quite a welcome relief with temperatures above 90 degrees!

Most times all you have to go on are the frontline people that you interact with. The woman who took our calls and the technician who responded are top-notch. They highly exceeded my expectations. Our air-conditioning unit went out over the Fourth of July holidays so when we returned on Monday evening the house is very hot. We called the next morning at 830, their opening time. The technician arrived shortly thereafter and the solution to the problem was a common one but the technician empowered me to do the maintenance that I am capable of doing, never pressuring me to take a maintenance contract. That tells me that they are in such demand that they don't need pressure sales tactics to have a highly successful business. If I were not the handyman type I would certainly have these guys do my maintenance. Repairs like this always seem expensive so it comes down to trust, I was very impressed.

Excellent. Authorized took my call straight away, no waiting for answering machines etc. They came the next morning, after phoning ahead, as scheduled, and on time. The technician was polite, knowledgeable and had the work complete in about 40 minutes.

Very professional and punctual. Price for the service offered was more than I wanted to spend. It was in line with another bid, though.

The experience was excellent. Their service is prompt and quick. The product works. They fixed things they saw that needed to be fixed and took care of us. It was a good experience.

Mr. David Lace checked the space available, listened to our desires and proposed a suitable system. This was done in the most professional way. David?s answers to technical questions reflected knowledge that supersedes significantly most of the other representatives that evaluated our needs. The price was within the range of other offers we got for similar Trane systems, and a bit cheaper then one of tehm. The installation team Gary was knowledgeable and pleasant. Above all they did a great job: the carefully removed the old system and installed the new one. Our furnace is in the attic and it has been a hard work just to get the heavy equipment in and out. In addition to their excellent technical performance, they were punctual and cleaned the area. Throughout the day, David visited cheers his team and provided further advice. Finally, the office team was informative and helpful.

My central air went out on one of the hottest days of the year, a Sunday. I called their office Monday morning at 8:00am and the service tech arrived before 9:30. He called me at work to tell me he was on the way. I met him at my home and described how the A/C had gone out. He went to the unit and saw immediately that a capacitor had gone bad. He replaced the part and had cold air flowing from my system again in less than 30 minutes after he arrived. He checked a few other things to make sure everything was okay and that was it. It could not have been a better experience.

A/C went out late Fri. night. Could hear condenser kicking on and off quickly. Called early Sat. and had call returned within 1/2 hr. Tech got here earlier than stated,happily, and service completed in 1/2 hr. Very pleased with service.

I was not having a problem with my unit, but I just wanted it to get a maintenance check and the lines cleared. They completed the work, gave me some tips on keeping my crawl space less humid, and to replace filters more often.

It went well. They came to the house prepared and with the correct resources. In less than three hours they added new lines, pulled a vacuum on the new lines, recharged the air conditioner, and cleaned the central unit.

Was able to work me in on a Saturday, even worked with me on the time window. Called shortly before arrival to confirm. Had the part available and finished quickly, I had the heat back on by 11:00 a.m.

I like their services. They don't take me down the road like some companies do. They are good and do a good job.

overall it was a very satisfying experience. matt was very professional without acting like a know-it-all. he explained everything to me on a level i could understand. he was very clean-even going to the point of wearing booties over his work boots. i know a lot of women will appreciate that! i plan on using them again.

I thought their price was a little high, but they advertise on TV that a visit from their service guys is only $72. He ended up tacking on $150.00 more to the bill where he only spent 5 minutes on the work. I would call on them again in the future.

My air went out upstairs at 1 pm. I called Authorized H & A at 2:00pm and it is now 4:50 pm and repairs are complete. Good experience.

Our downstairs AC stopped working at the very end of August. Authorized came out the very morning I called. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Although the unit is quite old - maybe 20 years old - he located a replacement fan motor. The motor is non-standard and pretty pricey ($650) and Authorized gave me several options on replacing the unit. I took several days to research my options. There were no pressure sales tactics at all. I finally decided to replace the motor and they did it quickly. I didn't even have to be home at the time. They even looked at my upstairs unit and made a few adjustments for free. I'll definitely use Authorized again.

A/C unit failed overnight -- fan blades not turning and eventually (after nudging the blades) blowing cold air. Turned unit off and called Authorized (based on Angie's reviews) midday. Tech was at the house within 45 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem -- a dead capacitor. Was replaced and back in business quickly.
