The project went very well. He got the project completed in a timely fashion and did a fantastic job. We would hire him again in a heart beat!

Chris is amazing! He is very talented, punctual, reliable, trustworthy and does what he says that he is going to do. He tiled the back splash in our kitchen last November and it was a very difficult tile to work with. It still looks amazing and he just came out to re-seal it (a service that he offers when you hire him) and touched up some caulk. I will definitely hire him again!!

Chris De Mayo of the Tile by Chris company lacks professional integrity and we strongly encourage future customers to look elsewhere for their tile installation needs. He walked off a job without any provocation or notification and left us to complete his work just before a client’s critical move-in date. He had “guaranteed” the completion of his work several times by a certain date but, not only did he fail to complete by that date, he left with no notification or warning of any kind. He skulked off the jobsite, packing up his tools and driving off. The project manager, who was on-site to handle any issues he may have had, was left wondering – after two hours - why he had left. Finally, in a nasty text message, he claimed he felt “pressured”. Having been in this business for decades, we’ve never seen the phrase “so how are things going?” or “when can we pressure wash the garage?” to be taken as “extreme pressuring”. We firmly stood behind having Chris finish the job and supported him in front of the client - as we did from the beginning – but he inexplicably left us to clean up his mess. In addition to his lack of integrity it should be noted that the client was unimpressed by Chris as they observed his work in their home. Chris constantly runs his mouth and makes promises – like “I’ll be here Saturday” - but doesn’t show. This became a total negative from the client's perspective. As a company we took a negative hit keeping him engaged in the job and, when he walked out, took the full brunt of the client’s criticism for not having acted sooner and firing him. After Chris left the jobsite the client felt very uncomfortable knowing he had a key to their home. He was asked to return the key but never did. To sum it up, a big “thumbs down” on Chris De Mayo of the Tile by Chris company. We wouldn’t hire him to tile a dog house.

Chris is simply the best choice for tile. He has great relationship with local businesses and can help make the right connections for folks to choose the right tile for the project. His work is detailed and done right. He will answer questions and help any way he can.

Chris was fantastic. When I contacted him he was out to review what I wanted the next day. I showed him what kind of tile I was looking at and he made recommendations. I also wanted under cabinet lighting and he recommended someone who also did a good job. Would definitely recommend him for tile work. Will be contacting him when I am ready for my bathroom to be done.

We hired Chris to put in our title (glass) backsplash in our kitchen. Chris was very responsive and professional. Our backsplash looks amazing. Chris also made sure we choose the correct color grout. I am so grateful his provided his professional opinion when it came to selecting the correct grout color. We are in love with our backsplash, and we plan to hire Chris to do the tile in our bathroom as well!

We had a great experience! They were very professional, courteous, and always on time. The work they did is impeccable. Chris takes pride in his work and is very detail oriented. This is one of the best experiences from start to finish that we have ever had with a contractor, and we have worked with many! I will use him in the future and have already recommended him to several friends/neighbors.

Fantastic experience! - Responsiveness\Promptness: From the first phone call until the end of the project, Chris either answered my calls or called me back within minutes. He explained the entire process from start to finish, and kept me informed throughout. He always contacted me when he was on his way, and arrived when he said he would. His concern was primarily for my happiness throughout the project. I'm very particular, and detail oriented and Chris did not disappoint me. The tile work turned out beautiful! Very pleased! -Cleanliness: He was very clean, and cleaned up after himself daily. He protected all flooring to and from the bathroom, and left my house in the condition he found it daily. This was very important to me. He left no footprint. -Price: He wasn't the cheapest, but far less than the most expensive. I feel very satisfied with the quality of work I received for the price I paid. Chris has a very pleasant demeanor, and he was honest with me throughout the process, which I truly appreciated. I'm so glad I hired him to tile instead of tackling it myself. I received a professional job, and it was well worth the amount I paid. He also referred a great shower door company and tile supplier, and provided a lot of other great tips. Chris just finished today, and will be returning to install tile for my guest bath later this summer. Looking forward to working with him again, and seeing the final outcome for that bathroom.

We scheduled an appointment for the estimate. Chris arrived on time, and gave us , what I would consider, a great price. After our countertops were installed, we called Chris, and we agreed on a date and time to do the job. He showed up on time, and did a very professional, quality job. He returned the next to do the grouting. Cleaned up, replaced electrical wall switch and outlet covers. We scheduled a time and date to return and seal the job. That was today. He just left. We could not be happier with his work. I would recommend Chris and his crew to anyone looking for a job well done. Although he only tiled, he is the kind of guy that I know will do an outstanding and meticulous job doing anything he says he can do.

Chris was very professional. He was able to do the work with a very short turnaround. He had great suggestions about how to handle some difficult spots around the window and with grout color.

Chris installed a subway tile kitchen backsplash for us. It looks great. It was done quickly, with very little mess or disruption. He cleaned up after himself and was a pleasure to work with. He also offers free sealing once a year and free repairs, if necessary, for as long as I own the home. I'll use him for any future tile work, without question.

Chris is very professional and does great work. He is repsonsive and has gone out of his way more than once to come back and repair tiles that the glass company broke while trying to install the shower glass.
