+ -1 moreCalled Brian based on reviews on Angie's list and was not disappointed. He came on same day I called. Brian was courteous, honest, and knew what he was doing. Inspected appliance for any other issues. This is the company to call for appliance repair in Hilton Head. Expert repairs at reasonable prices.
Description of Work: Water leaking in vegetable drawer and frost building up in freezer in self defrosting refrigerator. Brian cleared drains and solved the problem.

+ -1 moreBrian came when he said he would - same day we called him. He fixed the drain on the dishwasher, and the problem has been corrected. After some bad experiences with plumbers and other repair services in the area, we have used Brian several times to fix plumbing and appliance issues. He is prompt, efficient, courteous, and his prices are reasonable (although they seem to be trending higher). I will definitely continue to call Brian and recommend him to my neighbors.

+ -1 moreWe've used him several times. He's wonderful. We have two houses, one we lease out and he's done both houses. He's very good, very prompt, very cordial, very easy to work with and does good work in a reasonable price. He's done refrigerator work and an oven repair. He had ordered a part and he came back promptly with the part in a few days. The disposal was leaking and water was getting to the dishwasher so he took care of that. My husband stopped by on the way home from work and dropped the check off at their house. My husband didn't complain about the price. Everything was fine and they've never had any complaints from people leasing my house. He sets up an appointment and he comes pretty quickly.

+ -1 moreCalled Brian about 8:30 am. He committed to come 2:30-4 pm. He phoned again about 10:30 that his current job near by finished early and he could come in ten minutes. He did, diagnosed fault and replaced defective door switch in dryer. Well done and fair cost.

Description of Work: He evaluated my washer problem and checked my refrigerator that wasn't cooling properly. Unfortunately the washer couldn't be repaired, but he showed the problem to me and explained why. The refrigerator needed a new thermostat. He replaced it and also removed the ice maker that I wasn't using as it is our extra storage refrigerator.

Description of Work: These were repair calls to rental properties: $65 Evaluated one clothes washer and recommended we not repair. He could have made more money by repairing the machine. $75 A dryer was making a noise and he solved that problem, no parts necessary. $110 Another dryer was not working and he repaired it promptly for little cost.

He did a fabulous job both visits, called, was on time, very professional and knowledgeable. Will highly recommend him in the future and use him again whenever needed.

+ -1 moreI called Brian yesterday morning to talk about our dryer not working properly. We talked about possbile solutions. He was very informative and really listened to the problem. He said that he could be here yesterday afternoon (wow, same day service) and take a look. He called when he was on his way, and greeted me very professional. He then went straight to work to find the problem. Needless to say, the problem was diagnosed quickly and fixed. He then went about making sure (before) he left that everything was working and that he had cleaned up. Great service. We have just moved into this house, and the washer and dryer were part of the deal in buying the house. In being new to the area, we had no idea who to call, and for that matter, who we could trust. Thank goodness for Angie's List, and thanks again Brian for a job well done. I will be telling everyone about you.

+ -1 moreMake sure that you know the part cost prior to contacting a service house.
Description of Work: The control board on my Frigidaire dryer was beeping and I contact Frigidaire and they said it was most likely the control board. I search sources for acontrol board to get an idea what the cost of the part would be. With this information I contact two repair shops and chose to go with Brian`s. I told him of my preious search and he agreed that it was most likely the control board and if I wanted to order it myself he would install it for the service charge only. He performed the work upon my getting the part and shorten the vent hose at the same time.

+ -1 moreWhen I called Brian again about the cycling problem he was puzzled. He said he would have to go with the most likely cause of the problem, the thermostat. He brought a new thermostat and put it in. That solved the problem. We like Brian. He beleive he is an honest repair man who is friendly, prompt and professional. We are glad to know we is available to help us if we get any applicance problems.
Description of Work: I had a problem with the refrigerator and oven that came with the house we just purchased. Brian came and and checked both, not finding any problems. He gave me some suggestions to try and see if that cleared up the problems. The oven problem was corrected. However, the refrigerator keep cycling on and off.

+ -1 moreI called Brian's Appliance Repair, he answered, said he would come within two hours and did so. He chipped off ice at the bottom of the freezer, put some hot water on the drain hole, wiped it up, and left. Fifteen minutes.

+ -1 moreWe liked Brian. He is a very nice guy and he took the time to listen to our problems. He discussed what he found and what he thought was the problem. His price of $60 for a service call and $15 for 15 minutes seems very reasonable. He did not clock in when he arrived and clock out. He was here more than 15 minutes but just charged us that fee. We can give him our highest rating. I would certainly use him again
Description of Work: We had two issues, the top of the range got so hot when the stove was on that we could not put our hand on it. Our refrigerater sometime would cycle on and off. Brian checked both appliances. There was no cut and dry answers to our questions. The range top got hot as the oven got to 350 degrees. Brian checked the chimney and some other things. He came to the conclusion that the oven was operating properly. The problem may be in the amount of insulation that is in the appliance and/or we had a pan on the burner that blocked the chimney and deverted the heat to under the range top. As for the refrigerator, that was a head scratcher. At first he thought it might be a problem with the house wiring. The refrigerator is on the same circuit as the outlets above the countertop. Since those outlets are GFI protected he wondered it that had something to do with the refrigerator acting up. When the refrigerator cut off, Brian opening the door and saw the light inside was on and not dimmed. He then thought we might have a thermostat problem. He took the model number to give us a idea of what it might cost to replace but since he wasnt 100% sure that would fix it he put the thermostat on a different setting to see if that would help. He said keep listening to see if the problem continues. If he need to come back there would not be another service call fee but instead we would only be charged $15 per 15 minutes for him to come back and replace the part.
