y Jon & his 3 man crew arrived on time as scheduled. We have a large back yard that I have neglected and the men went right to work and spent over an hour trimming my shrubbery and cleaning up. They were able to accomplish everything that I asked them to do.

I think B "Good" rating is fair because the service did what we agreed upon. There were no extras, however, e.g. trimming was only minimum, not any more, and none of the small things I hinted at "if there's time" were done. Any extras at all, and this would have earned an A. (To me "excellent customer service" means a little extra something.) The work was broken up into two days, with several days in between as the first day the second worker was not available, which meant we couldn't be there the second day (I said that was OK but would have preferred to be there).

Arrived on time and checked all systems quickly.

We set a vision and they did more than I expected. Perfect work, promptness,and friendly too!

Showed up on time and called when they had questions. Couldn't be happier with the result. I told Jon I wanted the system working properly again and to replace the impulse sprinkler heads with continuous flow heads and to replace the ones that needed replacing. His crew did that and checked out the control box to make sure it was wired and functioning correctly.

I really had no work for them in the back yard, which is very big, because we have two German Shepherds that use it for exercise and "waste".

This company is great. They are professional, dependable and the best part -very fair in their price. The arrived on time and did everything they said they would do and then some extra. Will use again and highly recommend.

Really pleased with the work by Jon and his crew. They did an excellent job even working in the rain at one point. You can tell that he cares about producing quality work, and that is something you don't always see in the lawn care business. There was a delay in getting the quote for the work initially, which is the reason for the B rating on punctuality, but Jon called afterwards and rescheduled. Very professional! Will definitely use Wormwood for additional services in the future.

When we decided to redo our front flower beds, a search on Angie's List gave me exactly what I needed. Not only are we pleased with joining Angie's List but we found a great professional landscaper! After contacting several local landscapers, Jon Owings, owner of Wormwood Landscaping called me promptly. We discussed what services he offered and he listened to what we had in mind of the job to be done. He gave me a day and time he would meet with us and he followed through with that appointment as well of showing up exactly when he said he would to complete the job! Jon, with one assistant, worked nearly 8 hours to the minute. We could not be more pleased! The job consisted of laying down landscaping paper, installing plants, adding individual drip lines, adding drain spouts to our guttering away from our new plants, installing two additional plants in another area of our yard, edging and cleaning our yard. We recently purchased our home and are in the process of some renovations inside. We just don't have the equipment or time to keep up the beautifully landscaped property - at least for this year. Enter Wormwood. Although the price quoted was a little more expensive that some others we received, it was definitely competitive. The owner, John, has had a lot of good ideas about how to keep the mature (in some cases overgrown) landscaping in top condition. He knows the names of all the plantings (I didn't!) and how to care for them. He's offered advise about how to treat insect damage, etc. Wormwood also offers more options that the other landscaping services we interviewed. They do more than just cut the grass. They can do fertilization/weed control, they are picking up pinestraw and creating beds for us, they can do heavy pruning, etc. They have been prompt, professional, and reliable. I can't say enough about John and his services.

I wanted him to lay sod for me, but he said that service wasn’t included in the deal I purchased. I talked to him on the phone and determined I would need a refund for the deal. He should list on the deal that this specific service isn’t included to eliminate confusion. He was responsive and called me quickly after I purchased the deal.

We were pleased how much neater the yard looked afterwards. The shrubbery looked better, the left over yard trash had been removed, and the pinestraw in the beds had been rolled by Jon Owings which was a pleasant surprise.

Jon responded even before I was told when to expect a call. He is easy to talk to and always professional and very friendly.. I was recently injured and could not do some of the necessary yard work that I normally do myself. This deal could not have happened at a better time and I'm so glad that Wormwood was running this deal on Angie's List. The front/side/back yards look fantastic and that is a relief and removes worry on how I was going to do it.

I contacted the provider about doing some lawn work and his voice mail did state that he was on vacation so after leaving a message,I did hear back from him.As we discussed I needed to use a company that has insurance and he assured me that he had it with smoak insurance I believe he said and that he would let them know to send me the information. We spoke after that and he was suppose to follow up to make sure they get it to me since I still didn't get it,but it has been several weeks and I still have not received it and I have not received a call back from this company.My intentions is not to smear this company reputation,but when I purchased this service I trusted that the vendors would do what they say they would do ,especially them with very good reviews.I do not want this to be a negative review,but a constructive feed back. The insurance company may very well have been part of the fault and just did not send it,I don't know,but I would have appreciated at the least a call back from the vendor I spoke to following up on this situation.I checked down that I went to provider location,but I called provider location as it would not let me leave it blank Hope business flourishes

Wormwood cleared out my backyard and area around the shed. They also removed a ton of gravel and sprayed the yard to kill ivy. Also hauled all of the debris to the curb. Great job. Would definitely work with them in the future.

It went well. I was very pleased. We ended up having 2 hours with 2 men. They trimmed up my yard, and trimmed some hedges. It took a few days for them to come out, but it was okay with me.

Jon and his men, moved the big tree pots from the front yard to the back yard, dug the holes and planted the trees. (they even suggested where the trees could go). They also trimmed 4 bushes down about one third to have them fill out. I had asked them about the shrubs in the front -- 6 around each of my two very large River Birch trees in the front. Jon told me that I still had time left and I could not believe they dug out TEN (dead) shrubs -- didn't cut them down -- I mean dug them out roots and all -- plus one more removed on the side yard. I never thought all that work could be accomplished in that time frame. After all that work, Jon was very accommodating and said I had some time left, so he blew the pine needles & leaves off the side patio, walkway and the driveway. I was so impressed, I asked if he would be my regular gardener -- he agreed and I am delighted. Do not hesitate to hire this company. Very nice decent hard-working crew and also very dog friendly! Obviously, I do not have a green thumb and Jon answered all my questions and gave me advice in caring for the trees and remaining shrubs. I am on my way to having a South Carolina yard and not the "Arizona Look" that my yard had become.

I've used John twice now to clean up different flower beds. He does an excellent job and understands what I want done. He arrives at the time he says he will and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. He also cleans up behind him so you don't even know you had work done except for the fact that the beds look much better than they did before. Would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone who needs yard work done.

I called Jon on a Tuesday about an estimate that would be convenient for me to be performed before I go on vacation. He promptly scheduled a FREE estimate the next day in the early morning, even though his schedule was loaded. I contacted numerous other services and was called back much later, or no showed, or not even called back at all. His price was reasonable for what I am looking to do.

Wormwood did an excellent job. I was contacted quickly to set up the appointment at a mutually agreeable time. The day of service I was unable to be here, so they called and confirmed what needed to be done. They performed everything as promised and did an outstanding job! I would highly recommend Wormwood.
