Description of Work: Evaluated why my chimney was leaking, repaired the mortar and put on a better chimney cap. The process took a long time (Jan5 to April2)because they had so many customers in need of services due to the October 2015 floods.

Description of Work: Fixed broken flue door. They took pictures of the top of the chimney to show me that the cover is not the right size so I could see for myself. I haven't had that fixed yet, but I will shortly. I will definitely use Top Hat. I cannot find how much I paid, but remember it was reasonable.

Description of Work: They cleaned the chimney, which involved removing the fireplace insert. Before putting it back they put new insulation around the insert. They also cleaned the glass on the insert . Every speck of dust and dirt was cleaned up.

Description of Work: My husband and I recently put a contract on a house and wanted to have the chimney inspected because it was an older home. Ron was very honest and up front regarding the range of cost based on what I was able to tell him ($249.00-$699.00). He was able to schedule an inspection within 48hours and called the night before to confirm. Ron even called to inform me they were running a little behind (only because of the house location). He was very professional and immediately introduced himself and his crew. He took time to answer all my questions and did a great job inspecting/cleaning the fireplace. My husband and I were a little concerned we'd pay closer to $699 but were very pleased that he only did the necessary job and made suggestions based on the condition of the fireplace. We will be keeping Top Hat Sweepers in our contact database for the future.

Description of Work: We have two chimneys on the house. Both chimneys were inspected and one has lost the cap. A custom cap was made and installed. The worked completed on time and as described. Would recommend highly.
