I have used them twice. They may not be the cheapest around but they do an excellent job. They are bonded and licensed. They take away everything after the work is done.

I was very pleased with their punctuality and professionalism. They took about the amount of time they said it would take and did all of the work that I had requested. All of the trees that were cut and their limbs were shredded and carted away as they left. In the afternoon another member of their staff showed up to grind up the stumps. I would highly recommend this company and I would not hesitate to call upon them again.

The entire experience was great. When they came out to give the estimate I also asked them about the best trees to plant in a couple of areas of my yard, and they were very helpful. The work was performed quickly, and my yard was immaculate when I returned home after the job. No debris was left behind at all. This is the third time I've used Sox & Freeman, and, as with the other times, their work was prompt, professional and exactly what I wanted. They take pride in their work and it shows. All the trees looked great after the work and the cleanup was immaculate. They surpassed themselves on the tea olive, which was a hulking 20' mass before and an elegant showpiece after they were done.

The service was great. The day I call they can out and gave me estmate. On the day the work was to be done, they show up early and got right too work. Everything was done in a very high and professional manner. Would recmmened to anyone.

My interaction with them went pretty well. The tree service guy was able to meet me quickly, which was good because it was after a storm and there were a lot of trees that had to be taken care of in Columbia. I got him out to do the estimate. My tree was not across the road or on my driveway. Some people had trees fallen down on their houses. So I told him that he didn’t have to do the job until he took care of the emergencies. He didn’t come the next day to do it because there were other immediate jobs than mine. He came out when he was done with the other immediate jobs and did it at my convenience. He didn’t need me to be there, which was good. He did a good job and I can’t even tell where the tree was. His responsiveness was excellent. I would use him again in the future.

I had a very large dead tree that obviously needed to come down. The tree had multiple trunks, and was located in a tight spot between my garage, deck and privacy fence, plus close to several power lines. I needed someone with the expertise to take the tree down without damaging any property, grind the stump, and haul off the debris. I got several quotes, and Sox & Freeman were middle of the pack. But I hired them because they have a lot of experience, their reputation is positive, and I had a great experience with Chris Freeman, who came out to give the estimate. On the actual project -- These guys were GREAT! Chris showed up the day after I contacted them to provide an estimate. He called again the day before the work was scheduled to confirm. The guys showed up on time and got straight to work. I discreetly watched them throughout the process, and they took VERY good care to keep things under control and not damage anything. It was an all-day project, and they only stopped for a little bit for lunch. They were pleasant to talk to, very professional, and did a fantastic job. We had to remove a small piece of deck railing to get the stump grinder into place (with my permission), but they did that with care and offered to come back later and re-install it if I needed. They did a wonderful job at cleaning up, too. If you hadn't seem them working, you probably would have had no idea that they had been there! And absolutely ZERO damage to any property. I've used other tree services, and they were OK, but Sox & Freeman will get my business from now on. Highly recommended!

It was very high. They were very professional and if I'd had the money I would have used them. You get what you pay for but it was too costly.

Excellent job from start to finish. I had to deal with this long distance and they made it easy. Because of the damage of the tree - it had split vertically with half of it landing on a nearby tree - they had to use a truck to remove it in order to avoid damage to the other tree. I wanted the wood from the tree so they cut it into fireplace lengths and neatly stacked it at the base of the tree/stump. All the other brush was hauled off. They also trimmed the broken branches of the nearby tree. All work was done promptly and in the time frame they had given.

They were outstanding. Everybody else is just a hick with a saw. They are awesome. They are all licensed foresters. It was unbelievable. They did exactly what they said they would and when they said they would. An arborist that I work with recommended them. They were absolutely amazing. They make everyone else that I looked at, heard about, or saw look like a joke. They were outstanding. They don't use trucks running around the yard. They actually climb the trees, so it is a lot less invasive. They were absolutely impeccable and they were Clemson graduates. I think they have three offices. They are so far away better than anyone I've ever used and I'm in the natural resource business. I was afraid to have somebody come in and I was stunned because they were so good. The trees have never looked better. They are absolutely awesome. They told me what they would do for the amount of money, which was more than we wanted to spend. They cut it back and kept it to that. I wouldn't have known they were there except you look at the tree and know it looks better. They know how to prune a tree, which is no small thing. They were fabulous. We have a lot of trees in our yard and we don't top our trees. They knew exactly what they were doing and they could have done more for more money. We just wanted them cleaned up so a lot of dead wood wouldn't fall. There was some dead wood that we wanted taken out. There was no damage to the yard at all and the trees just look great. You couldn't really tell except that everything looked better. The difference was remarkable between the work they did and work that our neighbors had done by someone else. Their prices were not out of line. They gave an estimate in writing and came when they said they would. They billed us for the amount they said they would and they did what they said they would do. We didn't have any problems.

I called these guys after hearing good things about them, and was not let down. They had a professional who answered the phone -- I wasn't just calling somebody's cellphone in the field. That was nice. I set up an appointment to have someone come out and provide a free estimate. The estimate guy was very punctual, professional, and informative. Once I agreed to give them my business, we set up a date and time for the work. The crew arrived a few minutes early after calling twice to confirm the appointment, and performed the work quickly and expertly. They did a great job cleaning up, too. The experience was great.

Blake gave me the estimate I sought, but more importantly told me quite honestly that it was not necessary at this time to remove the trees and discussed alternatives, and very valid reasons why not to cut. There was another pine that needed large branches cut off, but he wisely suggested we wait for colder weather so as not to expose the tree to possible pine beetle infestation. I was awfully impressed by the thought, the honesty, and the professionalism displayed here. They have been in business for a very long time, and with this sort of work ethic and culture of service, I hope -- no, I'm sure -- they will continue to prosper for many years to come.

They were fantastic. When we called for the estimate, the person answering the phone was very pleasant, they showed up on time for appointments, including making reminder calls the day before. The Bradford pear tree has never looked better. One slip up was they hit our fence with some equipment, but we had two apology phone calls before the day was out and it was fixed as good as new within two days. Very professional.

The pines were over a large treehouse and intermingled among living trees, so it was no mean feat to do. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and there was no drama. The man who gave me the bid knew what he was doing. Was very pleasant and articulate. I would highly recommend them.

I had a tree close to the house and the limbs were growing close the house and we needed them removed. Certus was very professional and knowledgeable and the trees have never looked better!
