He came exactly on time, straighten a bent gutter and inspected my roof. I had no issues with my roof. To my surprise, David did not charge me for his services.

+ 0 moreInitially, I wasn’t very satisfied with the work. The sub-contractors that were used didn’t do a very good job. The work itself was pretty good, and during the work, they made sure they kept the work area clean, but once the work was complete, the clean up was terrible. In one bathroom, they removed wallpaper then repainted it. In the other bathroom, they left the wallpaper up, which took a considerable bit of time and effort to paint. They damaged a door during the process as well. Dave Smith, the owner, came out to straighten everything out and take care of everything to make sure I was completely satisfied. He went out of his way and did more than he was requested to do. He also mentioned that he wouldn’t use those sub-contractors for interior work again.
Description of Work: Replaced popcorn ceiling and replaced some sheet rock, they painted two bathrooms.

+ -1 moreThe 2 story garage has a hipped roof, like a barn. When the shingles were removed, it was noted that felt was in great shape and did not need replacing and the invoice was adjusted. The job was scheduled to be done in two days with a 1 day break, but because of my time constraint, the crew was enlarged and the job was completed in one day.The crew arrived in 5 trucks exactly on time (to the minute),7AM. Worked straight thru until 5PM, breaking only for lunch. Did an Excellent job of covering up and cleaning up, including doing a magnet sweep to get any nails.
Description of Work: Replaced total roofing on a house and separate garage, including replacing 2 sheets of warped wood with new plywood (no extra cost). The shingles were GAF with a lifetime warranty and a ten year warranty on labor. Replaced chimney flashing and pipe boots. Installed a total of 46 squares.

+ 0 moreIt was a real pleasure to work with David at Home Wrappers. Very pleasant person, excellent communication (he kept me well informed of what would be done, and how, and when). His crew were hard workers--they completed the whole job in one day, working from about 7:30am to 7:30 pm, minus lunch break of course. I was especially impressed with this because I had just seen a neighbor have their roof redone--it was a smaller job than mine, no tear-off or roof vent, just a shingle layover, and it took that crew at least three days to do it. My new roof is beautiful--really well done, and they cleaned up carefully and thoroughly. David has an artistic eye for small details that make a difference and it is very important to him to do his work correctly and well and to use the right materials. I really couldn't be more pleased and would hire Home Wrappers again in a heartbeat if I needed more of the services they offer (they do siding and windows as well as roofing).
Description of Work: Full new roof (30-year architectural style shingles) on 2100 sq. foot ranch-style house and on small attached shed. The following (copy/pasted from the written service agreement they gave me) was done in full: 1. We remove all existing layers of shingles. 2. We replace all felt and attach with ring shank button caps. 3. We use proper starter shingles (not a three tab) to insure complete seal around edge. 4. We use minimum of 4 nails on 25 yr. and 6 nails on 30yr.+ (1 1/4” galvanized). 5. We install weather shield rubberized flashing in valley areas, chimneys and dormers. 6. We inspect and replace any bad roof decking. (See wood pricing below.) 7. We install new boots on any roof vent pipes. 8. We install new flashing with matching color. 9. We install a full flow vinyl shingle-over ridge vent. 10. We install matching Hip & Ridge Shingle Caps on Architectural Shingles. 11. We clean up all job related material and haul away. 12. We utilize magnets to pick up nails. We even clean out gutters of debris. 13. Ten (10) year labor and workmanship warranty.

+ -1 moreDavid is a friendly and very likable person. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. My wife and I thought for sure we would have to replace our 13 year old roof since we had a couple of leaks. David inspected the entire roof and said we still had a few years left on our shingles overall and that it was only a few spots that needed shingles replaced. He also recommended we replace all of our pipe boots. He quoted both a full roof replacement and just the repairs he recommended. We decided on the repairs only. On the scheduled day, David showed up on time with a crew of two additional workers and the entire job was finished in approximately 4 hours. He even matched the color of the new shingles with our aged roof shingles and actually came in $32 under his quote. I am VERY pleased with the work that was performed. I HIGHLY recommend Home Wrappers!

Replace all pipe boots and seal existing vent to roof. Insure proper seal at chimney on rear of home. Seal all exposed nails and loose shingles. 1 year warranty system $ 250 2: Remove existing ridge vent. Cut peaks to accept Cobra3 Ridge Vent. Install matching caps (as reasonably close in color as possible). 98 linear feet @ $ 9 = $882

+ -1 moreI had some minor roof damage from a storm that was about to turn into a serious leak problem. Rain was in the forecast again in a day or two. David showed up, assessed the situation and laid out my options. He even took into account my insurance coverage to help me determine what level of repair would be most efficient. He really seems to know his stuff and educated me on what I needed to know to make a decision. Then he just grabbed his ladder and was done in no time. He is also very reasonably priced. Note: I did have my own spare shingles already. I will definitely use him when the day comes that I need a new roof.
Description of Work: Roof repair on a vent boot and some ridge line shingle damage from a storm. Also some other singles that were coming up. Not a huge span of shingles but they were in a difficult spot.

Mr. Smith checked up on his crew, and did some of the work himself. I would recommend Mr. Smith and Home Wrappers to others, no question.
Description of Work: Our roof was in pretty bad shape, and he rearranged some other jobs so that he could get to us sooner. Our roof also needed some bolstering from underneath, in the attic, and that work was done quickly but very well.

+ -1 moreEverything went great! He was the only person who gave us an estimate that walked the roof to get a good look at its condition. He provided a very detailed estimate of the work to be done and followed up afterwards in case we had questions. He was our most expensive estimate but his estimate seemed to cover more and after multiple conversations we felt he would do the best quality job. He and his crew showed up on time the day the work was scheduled and did a fantastic job. Other than having a beautiful new roof, there was no trace left that they had been there.
Description of Work: Removed our old roof, replaced spots where the boards underneath needed repair, cut in a ridge vent and put on a new roof with architectural shingles. The roof was done on a 2 story house with garage area and also did a shed in the back.
