He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He answered all of my many questions. He was very frank with me and wanted to make sure I was happy with the work and the price. He charged his standard service fee and performed the work on the spot since it wasn't complicated and didn't require additional supplies that he didn't have in his truck. He was on time for the appointment, if not a few minutes early. When I first called him, I didn't get a return call for a week or so. He stated he had a lot of calls to go through after the storm and was attending to a sick friend. He does get a lot of clients. I would definitely recommend him for any roofing, window, or siding service. He was well recommended by a friend and I'm glad I went with him. He's a good guy.

David was very professional. Good to communicate and answer all my questions. David, the owner, personally got up on the roof to do the estimate, taking the time to fix a couple of issues until they could get out to do the work. David was personally onsite several times to inspect the progress of the work. Very happy with the results. You may pay a bit more, but you are getting a quality job that they will stand behind and last.

After making initial contact via Angies List, I was called and an appt. was set up over the phone to come out two weeks later and give me an estimate/bid on replacing my roof. I had called two other roofing companies to do the same. I was called the morning of the appt. to notify me that due to the heavy rains that day, they would not be able to do the estimate. He asked me if the following Monday afternoon would be good for a reschedule. I said yes. After rushing around and even skipping errands that Monday in order to be home for the 3:00 roofing estimate appt., they never showed up or called with a reason or to reschedule. The only reason I gave them a D rating and not an F is because the rescheduled appt. was the Monday of Xmas week so things might have been hectic for them. However, it was their choosing to pick that day, not mine. It's been two weeks, and I still haven't heard from them. Suffice it to say, I will not be using them to install my roof. I'll use one of the other highly rated companies who did show up for the estimate appt.

We needed siding and had received some estimates from a trade show. We joined Angie's List, and when checking, recognized Home Wrappers and Davis Smith from a previous job, and requested an estimate from them. Home Wrappers was certainly "within the ballpark", and based prior (excellent) experience, we went with David. The Home Wrappers team was 110% professional. There was a slight delay in starting, as the summer temperatures were above 100 degrees and David did not want to risk his men's health, as the work was all outdoors, on ladders and the temperature was HOT. The siding turned out excellent, and David had personal oversight for the completion. All waste was removed and the house is the prettiest it's ever been. Materials and workmanship both exceeded our expectations.

.The only hold up was the weather. The weather effects everything when doing this type of work. It throws everyone off, other jobs delay from weather run into your job. Be sure not to schedule around a trip. Once they started the crew worked like bee's to get what needed to be done on the roof. The roofing crew worked past 5:00pm to get the majority of the roof done in the same day. A second crew came the next day and did finish work and trim and the wrapping of the fascia boards. The wrapping took two days. Once they were finished it was a couple more days before they were able to come back to do the pillars. There were issues with the trailer they used to deliver, so an extra day before the pillars got started. The pillars were installed in one day and then two days extra to paint them since they did not have a finish. Again the weather was not cooperative rain slowed the process a little but they completed the pillars and everything looks fantastic. After they were all done I went up on the roof to see what was done and it looks even better than I had envisioned it.

I have been with him for a year. I can't speak highly enough about his work ethic.

I have used Home Wrappers on previous projects and had good experiences. This one was no different. David arrived on time review the job and provide a written quote. Later on the pre arranged date & time, the installers also arrived on time and were friendly yet professional. They finished my job quickly and did great job cleaning up any debris from the installation. The gutters look great and are doing the job. I gave them a "B" on price simply because I felt the cost was a little high but in honesty, I did not have another company quote this job. I would recommend Home Wrappers and will call them again when I have another project.

No one showed for the appointment on June 30th appointment at 9 AM . I called and left a message and David did call back quickly. He said my appointment somehow had been moved to 3 PM that day. I was never notified by anyone of an appointment change. During the conversation, I said "if no one can be home at 3 PM I would call and let him know". I left work early to be home at 3 PM. Once again, no one ever showed for the appointment. I missed a half day of work and no estimate. I have used this company in the past and was impressed by the work, which is why I called for this job.

David was courteous and punctual throughout our dealings. His price was on par with the other estimates I received, but I was impressed with the amount of detail he included in his quote, and his 10 year labor & workmanship warranty. He was very diligent about helping me pick out the shingles for my roof/house color, and he has accounts with all the major brands. His workers were very thorough, removing not only the old shingles but all the felt, and making repairs as needed. I'm not a roofing expert, but he made a point of using "Starter Shingles" to insure seal & warranty, and "proper Hip & Ridge caps" on Architectural Shingles. They also installed all new flashing, new pipe boots, and they cut & installed "shingle over" the vinyl ridge vent. There was an issue with debris from my roof landing in my neighbors landscaping (the edge of my roof pretty much extends over her privacy fence, making this hard to avoid). I received a phone call from my very unhappy neighbor, at which point I phoned David. He agreed to meet me there first thing the next morning to speak with my neighbor and inspect the damage. David was very professional, and said exactly what you would want someone to say in that situation. He apologized, took responsibility for it, and promised to make everything right. True to his word, he had his guys clean up my neighbors yard that day, along with mine, and there wasn't so much as a piece of a shingle or a nail left behind. He also sent my neighbor 2 bottles of wine (in cobalt blue bottles to match the one on her bottle tree which broke), with a note promising to check back in the spring to see if any of her plantings needed to be replaced. My neighbor was very satisfied with his response, and so was I. A class act, all the way. I have no hesitation about recommending Home Wrappers to anyone needing a new roof.

I was VERY impressed with the services provided. Checked, repaired a few areas and leaks at the back of the house. He was extremely honest compared to other estimates and completed the work promptly. I would use them again and trust Home Wrappers completely!

David and his crew arrived early and were on the roof by first light. Very professional and took great care in protecting our house and shrubbery. The crew finished the roof by mid afternoon and spent a lot of time doing clean up and David came back the next day to again run magnetic roller around the house to check again for nails etc. David is very thorough in explaining what is being done and showing you the materials, receipts etc. Altogether a very well done job. David doesn't advertise on radio like some of the volume contractors but I don't believe anyone could have done a better job.

It did not happen. That was the problem

Homewrappers was able to start my work within one week of initial contact. Arrived on time. worked hard all day and completed job in 4 days. Workers were polite, knowledgeable and professional, House looks great and wish I would have done this 10 years ago. Will definitely use again and will refer friends.

David is such a personable guy that you can't help but like him. He came out to check my roof and since there were only minor issues, he fixed them the same day. I have to say in the past before using Angie's list, I had bad luck hiring people. I had three roofers out that gave me estimates from nothing to 1500.00. I was afraid to hire any of them. After using Angie's list and having my house painted by one of the companies I found here, I am finally getting work done that has needed to be done, This is because everyone I've talked to and dealt with on Angie's list has been honest and fair. Everything went well. Communication is very important to me. David stayed in contact, updating me with a new schedule after we experienced bad weather on the date we had originally scheduled the job. He sent me regular status reports with photos as the roof was being installed. Overall, he followed through with everything he told me he would do.

I thought it might be time for a new roof, though it was not leaking, and I could detect no serious problems. I wanted someone who knew what they were doing to have a look, tell me IF I needed a new roof, and provide an estimate if I did. David Smith is a consummate professional. Prompt, courteous, enthusiastic. He came out a couple of days after the initial call when he had other work in the area. To my amazement, he gave me a detailed report of the condition of the roof, and advised me NOT to get a new one! Not only that, but he offered to come out and fix the minor problems that did exist (loose shingles, some problems left by previous roofers, etc.). Because the weather had been bad, he came out on a nice-weather Sunday and did the work. Now I have peace of mind for a few more years, and I will call Home Wrappers when the time does come for the new roof.

Leak around fireplace chimney that was collecting in ceiling of the sun room. Had been previously repaired by former home owner multiple times. David and his crew worked diligently and have it fixed! David also inspected the rest of the roof, making some minor repairs for no charge. Excellent!

I had used David before and was so pleased with his work. I called him again when I found rot around a windowsill, but David found the damage to be more extensive and offered me alternate solutions. The finished job was as sound and identical as the original. The job required him to return several times and he left the job site neat and clean each time. David provided a stress free economical solution and I would recommend him to anyone.

He fixed some of the places where the roof needed re-caulking and said it was in good condition.||Problem fixed.

Home Wrappers was highly recommended on Angie's List and was everything that all the positive reviewers said. David Smith was the 4th person to give me an estimate on my roof . After the first visit, and even before he had submitted the estimate I knew that he would be the person I would hire for the job. Mine is a 115 year old house, and its roof has leaked in different places for the 14 years I have been living here, so I was pretty sure that there would be a lot of rotten wood under the shingles. Nobody really knows what it is like until they get the roof off so initial estimates are generally best case scenarios, and depending on what is underneath, the actual job can cost quite a bit more. David explained everything to me and so I had a very good idea about best and worst case scenarios. He also did some clean-up and covered my grill just in the course of looking around the yard! When he sent the estimate it was substantially lower thant he next lowest estimate I received. After I got the estimate it was 6 months before I could hire him to do the job, but he stood by his original estimate. He was able to schedule the work to start in a couple of days. He sent a team of very efficient workers who completed the roof in two days - it would likely have been one day but there was a lot of rotted wood that slowed things down. The final price, after the replacement of a substantial amount of rotted wood, was still less than I had expected to pay for a new roof, and it was significantly less than the initial estimates that I had received from some other companies . They also did an excellent job of cleaning up - I haven't seen a single roofing nail! His work comes with a 10 year warranty on labor and workmanship, and that warranty is transferrable if you sell the house. You can't beat that. Another great thing about David is that he is very particular about color. I had never given the color of a roof any thought but once he brought it to my attention, and gave me a pile of samples, I started looking at roof color and realized that they don't just come in black, grey and brown, and the architectural shingles that are shaded with black have so much depth and are quite beautiful. I wound up going with Atlantic Blue, which does not scream blue, but is rather a colorful grey. On cloudless days it looks like it is reflecting the sky, and on dull days, my roof is bright and cheerful. I would never have considered a color if it had not been for David, but I am SO glad I did. David Smith is one of the nicest people you could possibly meet. He is very energetic, really knows his stuff and was just a pleasure to work with. He is extremely efficient and reliable, he recruits really great workers and he carefully oversees the entire process. I would happily recommend him to anyone, and if I had another house I would have him do that roof too. Possibly even in red next time.
