I called this company of Friday, the23rd of March, for a free estimate on fixing some broken and missing shingles. I was told, I would be called back. I was never called back on Friday. I called this company again, on Tuesday, the 27th of March. I was asked where I was from again, and was told they forgot my location, and would be called back. I wasn't called back until about 5pm, on Tuesday evening. I never returned their response.

I called Goodwin after seeing the great reviews on Angie's List and also seeing that Chris Goodwin does not use any subcontractors. Goodwin is a family-owned business, and Chris stands behind his work. Chris came out the day after I called and got right up on my roof and inspected everything. He could tell the age of my roof by looking at it and told me that it will eventually need to be replaced "when you get tired of looking at it". This impressed me, because Chris was not interested in selling me a new roof, he was just interested in helping me fix my leak. After poking around on my roof for a few minutes, Chris surmised that my ridge vent looked like the only thing that could be leaking as there were a few loose nails and that was the only damage that he could find. He patched the nails with caulking and also patched a couple of shingles that had holes in them. Chris told me to wait until the next rain to see if the leak was fixed and then if it was, I could send him a check for $60 to cover the work. I told Chris that I definitely wanted him to replace my pipe boots, so he gave me a quote on the work to replace the pipe boots which came to $350. Chris said to wait until we had some rain before scheduling the other work, so he could repair the leak properly if the caulking did not work. The additional repair, if needed, would involve ripping off a section of the roof down to bare wood and repairing any damage and re-shingling. Chris quoted me $350 for the additional repair work if it was going to be needed. We did not get any heavy rain, so Chris called me and checked on whether the roof had leaked at all during the light misty rain we recently had. When I told him that I did not have any leaks, he informed me that he would be happy to put a hose on the roof and spray water all over the area to make sure the leak was fixed. I scheduled him to come out and replace the pipe boots and at that time he put a hose up on the roof and sprayed the area to ensure that the leak was fixed. When everything was done and cleaned up, I was presented with a bill for $350. I asked about where was the additional $60 charge for fixing the leak and Chris replied that that charge was included in the $350 bill. Boy was I surprised! Chris Goodwin is a good man who stands behind his work. I feel great doing business with Goodwin Roofing and I will DEFINITELY recommend them to all of my friends if they ever need any roofing work done.

We discovered a leak inside. They came the day after we called, checked various areas of the roof and found and mended the area as well as checking out two other troublesome areas where the shingles needed to be replaced. Those areas were also fixed.

Goodwin Roofing responded quickly to my estimate request. They inspected the work area and gave me a quote and and estimated date to repair the roof. Due to weather, they had to reschedule the work, but got it done quickly and efficiently. If I didn't know that I was looking for repairs, I wouldn't know that they had been at the house. They made the repairs while I was at work and left a bill for me to pay. They even removed an old TV antenna from my chimney while they were on the roof. All my contacts with this company have been courteous and professional. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Excellent experience from start to finish.

We had a leaky ridge vent on my roof that needed inspection/repair. We contacted Goodwin Roofing after a large storm, and they were very prompt in coming to our home the next day. Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He gave as an estimate of 475.00 and stated he would get us scheduled by the end of the week. His office contacted us within 24 hours, scheduled the repair for the next day. Chris and his team arrived on time, completed the job within the estimate, and cleaned up our property like they found it. A+ job !!! We would definitely recommend Goodwin Roofing to all of our friends and neighbors.

Goodwin scheduled to do the work within 2 weeks of receiving the money from the insurance company. Goodwin was fast, efficient and thorough. Because of the 90+ degree temperatures, they arrived just before dawn (6:30am) and worked until around noon for 3 days. They cleaned up each day and all of the workmen were professional in their behavior in spite of the heat.We had Goodwin do the work within 2 weeks of receiving the money from the insurance company. We called Goodwin's early on a Thursday afternoon, by Thursday evening we had an estimate in hand. We gave them the go-ahead Thursday evening and by Friday afternoon the job was complete. It has sinced rained hard and we have no leaks! Great job to all involved

Chris Goodwin came when expected, accessed the job, made the repairs, and cleaned up taking pride in his work. He gets a thumbs up.

I called Goodwin Roofing on Tuesday morning. He came by that afternoon and gave me an estimate over the phone. The roof was repaired on Wednesday. I didn't even need to leave work to supervise. He was very polite. I like that fact that this is a family business; his mother takes the business telephone calls. I would call them again!

They did a great job and price was far below the other quotes. The other quotes were close to $1000. I felt the others were trying to take advantage of me.

During an extremely heavy rain, I went into our attic and found three spots where the roof was leaking. The next day I called and they were out within hours. They gave me what I considered a very reasonable estimate and since the roof was so wet, they set an appointment to come back out in a few days to make the repairs. They returned on schedule and corrected the problems promptly and at a very reasonable cost. They guaranteed their work but the repairs have worked nicely. I will definitely call them again for any future problems or when I need a new roof.

Responded to my call quickly, was on site as soon as the weather cleared. Found other issues with the roof he also fixed. Very professional, would use again.

Came out one rainy afternoon to give us an estimate. Called about 10 days later and said they would fix it that day. It was done when I got home that afternoon. I didn't have to be there, they left an invoice. No mess left, couldn't even tell they had been there except a slight color difference on the shingles.

He showed up on time. The work was done well and he cleaned up after himself.

The work turned out very well. They came out and gave me an estimate on Friday and got the work done before some rain came in.
